We reached Dirtmouth in a matter of minutes. The trip to Dirtmouth was boring though other than feeling the sharp air against my face. I jumped off of the Stag and looked at Sly.

I heard the Stag leave I guess he had something else to do. I then watched as Sly walked onto the elevator I then also went on it. We were raised up I then walked off the elevator and opened the door.

I then went out of the building Sly then followed me out of the building. I then saw the dim lights that were emitted from the lamp posts. The air was calm and the ground was hard and rough I took a step forward and then looked around.

The buildings were mostly the same but as expected Sly's shop was gone but unexpectedly the shop where Cornifer lived was gone. 'Well, now I can't get a map from him.' I thought.

Sly: "There is our destination Crystal Peak."

He said as he pointed up I looked at the way he was pointing and saw a massive cave. Inside there were crystals that shone with beauty and elegance I could also tell that they would sell for alot.

Sly then began to move forward we moved fairly quickly as we wanted to begin already. In front of us, there was another elevator I went on it and then it creaked due to it being so old.

We then slowly raised upwards I felt a bit cold and when I breathed my breath was visible. I looked down and saw how far the drop was I then raised my head back up and then walked off of the elevator and onto the entrance of Crystal Peak.

I had to take a second to appreciate the sight of the shiny crystals. I would have never seen something this beautiful if I wasn't transmigrated into this world. I walked forward and saw a long sturdy bridge I walked on the bridge with Sly for a while we then got off of the bridge and made it to the other side.

Sly then turned around and then said.

Sly: "Alright we will start training here."

Excursion: "Weren't we going to train in Kingdoms Edge?"

Sly: "Well we are still going to go there. But for the technique, I'm going to show you it's better if we do it here."

Excursion: "Technique?"

I said curiously. I then looked at Sly he then took his nail off of his back and then a white glow was covering the nail.

Sly: "I imbued my nail with soul and before you say anything. This doesn't give you an advantage in combat many people asked me that. This is basically a crutch it allows new Nailsages to get used to their nail. When you use this move it makes it feel like the nail is a part of your body."

I took out my nail and then Sly walked to me. He then put his hand on my shoulder and said.

Sly: "Focus on the nail imagine that roots go into the nail connecting you with it... Don't do it too fast now like a root pour soul into the blade..."

I felt a connection slowly being made it was like I was making a new muscle. I felt it growing and growing I then reached the part where I had to put my soul into the nail... I didn't know how to do that. I looked at Sly for advice.

Excursion: "Sly I don't know how to do the final part."

Sly: "Alright let me help you out."

Sly then closed his eyes and then began to hum... I felt something being pulled from me it was a strange feeling my chest felt a bit heavy but not to the point where I was uncomfortable. I then saw a white energy flow through my hand and into the nail. It attached to the nail like a parasite unwilling to let go of it.

I then heard Sly stop humming. And he looked a bit worn out? I then looked at my nail and saw that it glowed with soul.

Excursion: "Are you alright?"

Sly: "Y-yeah I'm fine it's just I didn't use that move in a long time."

|Sly POV|

I looked at my disciple I was a bit shaken. 'His soul was much purer than any other bug except for The Pale King. Was he perhaps a god? No, if he was I would already be on my knees from the pressure he would emit. What is he?' I thought.

I swung my sword around. I felt like I had much more control of the nail. I then looked at Sly waiting for the next instruction.

Sly: "Alright you will start to learn about Great Slash. One of the first moves that I made. And it's the easiest to master."

He said as he took out his nail and crouched down then soul was drawn into his nail. He then released a massive downwards slash. A rock flew out of the ground from the impact of Sly's nail. Sly then put his nail on his back and began to observe me.

I raised my nail upwards and then saw pieces of soul fly into my nail. I then prepared to swing my nail but then soul stopped flying into my nail.

Excursion: "What happened?"

Sly: "Did you really think that you would be able to do the move just by seeing me do it?"

Excursion: "Well I mean it looked simple."

I looked at Sly in embarrassment. Sly then put his hand on his chin and then said.

Sly: "I think that we need to improve your control over soul first. So put down your nail and focus on increasing your control over soul."

Sly said as he laid on the floor and said.

Sly: "I'll be sleeping."

He then closed his eyes. I then thought 'Well he went to sleep. So how can I train myself to use soul? Maybe I should use focus and try to understand how I use it. Then I will try to use soul without using focus.' I thought.
