CHAPTER-32 : SOMETHING IS AMISS

Third Person's POV :

Athena walked with her mate, hand in hand ready to surprise her brothers. The living room was probably vacant so they moved to the kitchen talking and laughing on their way when they were stopped by Pierce, Damien's Beta, who was intently staring at the girl with whom Damien came along. He knew his Alpha wouldn't cheat their Luna, but the girl was looking vaguely different from his Luna, so he was slightly confused.

While, Aiden, on the other hand, was feeling green on seeing such a beautiful girl with Damien, he was somewhat jealous knowing that she could have been his, as he could sense the bond between them but he was confused, as to why he was feeling like this and also where was his sister, he knew he knows the girl in front of him but at the same time, he doesn't.

Pierce: Damien, where is Athena, and why do you have another girl in here when it should be Athena, with you, here with us, the rightful owner.

Meanwhile, Athena could sense Aiden staring at her side profile and talking with his wolf,

Jace: Aiden, I'm sure that she is Athena, I can sense our bond.

Aiden: I can too but maybe we are getting it all wrong, she can be our mate also, but I don't understand why is she with Damien.

Jace: Because she is his mate and our sister.

Aiden: But I know very well that Athena has scars from living with Jason and this one is clearing wearing a dress with almost a clear skin.

Jade: Damien, might have to do something with that, as you know, how he was behaving yesterday when we were helping Athena, in her room and he was locked outside.

Aiden: I know all that but he is not a healer, just a normal Alpha, with no extraordinary powers, till date

Jace: Call in for our twin bond, then only you will realize...

Aiden: Ya sure, now I'm supposed to listen to wolf over my rational t

at one moment she laughed when her brother's wolf was damn confident that it was their sister while her Aiden was still skeptical, but composed herself when she saw Pierce glaring at her and Jace looking suspiciously.

Athena: Well, well two well-grown wolves can't tell who am I, quite a scene right Alpha(and she smirked looking at Damien)

Damien followed her line of thought and encircled his arms around her and sniffed her. While Aiden decided to give in to his wolf and tuned in, in their twin bond to find the smugness oozing out of that girl and his sister were the same. He was perplexed for sure but smiled knowingly when he knew that his sister's mate was on his way in filling the gaps of the unsolved puzzle her heart owns.

Damien: Well it only means, rigorous training to both these men, and as their Alpha, I must see if my people are self-sufficient against any threat. Care to join me, my Lune.

To which, both Pierce and Aiden looked at them and,

Aiden: That's my sister who will be training us, so I'm okay with it.

Pierce was like 'what the hell is happening'

Athena: I knew you would be able to tell me apart but it seems Jace is smarter than you, and you Pierce, is your sense of smell blocked, she teased him, to which he just scoffed.

Pierce: So, if your done playing then does tell what happened to the girl I saw yesterday.

Damien: Nothing much, Ryder got jealous and the outcome you see, that's it, now no more questions, you two he said pointing at Pierce and Athena, leave for college while I'm going to sort out some reason so that I can come here without any trouble and yeah, meet me in office after your college Mr. Beta. (to which Pierce gulped his saliva in fear and submission)

Aiden nodded at Damien and all left to their respective work.

Pierce's POV:

Something is wrong, this unusual silence doesn't sit quite well with her, I mean she loves being here, more than at home, so this silence was disturbing. Let me confirm with her if it is unusual or something else.

"Pierce, by any chance, something happened with you", she asked me finally while her sight held some faraway secrecy.

"No, just the usual like another day", I replied and she nodded but anyone could tell she was not satisfied with that answer.

I guess Damien needs to know about this.

"Alpha", I thought in my mind.

"What is it? Athena is she ok. Are you guys in any trouble?", he bombarded with many questions of his own.

"Nothing of that sort, we are all good, but Athena has this faraway look on her face and was asking me, if something happened, with me, I guess cause she is looking at me strangely", I wanted no needed him to look after what was bothering her.

"Okay, I'll see to it, let's meet at her place after dinner and yes, don't let her know about this", he said a false try to calm his as well mine curiosity with the upcoming talk.

Athena's POV:

The day felt boring, even though I loved drawing, know why because something was amiss with Pierce. He had this unusual aura around him since I first saw him but then why wasn't Aiden able to sense this first. We are related by blood then how come he wasn't able to sense this.

"Well we are twin gods but fraternal, so he might have skipped some and acquired other which we won't have, depends and we do have future to know about that", piped in my best friend, Alex, who is my vampire spirit.

Okay, I agree with Alex but I want to know the reason why I feel this different aura around Pierce. Hmm, college is almost done, so why not now.

Damien's POV:

I guess I was reading off some collaboration documents with Dad in our office when I felt her around me. So, I took a glance at my watch and frowned when it showed there was still some time for her to leave the college.

"Dad, I've to make a call with Noah and check up on the rouges problem", and with that said, I left to my room without waiting for his response.

I came to my room and locked it's the door, to see Athena constantly looking at me with a weird stare. "What?", I asked her while she just nodded nothing and came close to hug me. Well, now that she was with me, she didn't need her cloak, so I held her close and unwrapped the cloak around her.

"Not needed when it's just us", I mumbled in her ear drawing her close by embracing her and she like a baby snuggled in me, making Ryder growl in merry.

"Ami, I guess, something is amiss here, and I want to know about it, so I've come here, but I could use this time, just us", she said and sealed the gap by locking my lips in a beautiful kiss. She is a fast learner, till a few days, she didn't know who was I and now she is an experienced kisser. Way to go, mate, now I don't deal with smoothness, so I broke the kiss for air while she snuggled placing more kisses on my neck.

"Babe, I guess we should find out the weirdness here" I reminded her and she broke out of her reverie and moved back to wear her cloak.

"So, I need to know who stays in this house", she asked thinking about something.

"Everyone lives here and few live in their cottages throughout our land", I answered her to the best of my knowledge.
