CHAPTER-25 : No Sound Proof Room

A new morning broke the dark tremor in the room and both Pierce and Damien woke up to the day. Pierce was looking at the brother sister duo who were sleeping without any care in the world. While Damien was thinking about his future looking at Pierce and the duo. He chuckled at his state and that broke Pierce's trance.

Pierce : What are you laughing for ?

Damien : On my life.....

Pierce was looking at him as if just landed from Mars. Damien on sensing his confusion explained further...

Damien : Few months before, I was frustrated on not having a mate and now when I do have my life has took a 360 turn from the shocking revelations.

Pierce : Well it's life to us.

Damien : Enough with the talks now. We have a pack to care for.

Pierce : Ohh thanks for the revelation.

With that both Damien and Pierce left to the pack house but not before locking the farm house securely. Thereby keeping the presence of two hybrids sleeping, away from the pack members.

PACK-HOUSE

Pierce and Damien were sitting discussing about the current affairs of the pack when all of a sudden Damien's Mom and Dad entered the office to see both their children engrossed in their work.

Alpha : It's good to see you two working together but don't you think that you have too much on your shoulders.

Damien : Dad it's our job to look after into these matters after you two. And the burden comes along with it.

Pierce : Besides we have you guys to help us.

Luna : He is not talking about us, he is talking about your mates. When are you both going to find them or should we let you guys go for your mate hunt.

Damien : Mom, there is no need. When the time comes, we will get them. For now we two are enough for the pack.

Pierce : And if are talking about the entire clan then Alpha Clyde is back in reign. He is ready to look after the responsibilities of the clan until Damien finds his mate and his Beta's.

Alpha : Beta's ..... as in more than one. And what about you.

Pierce : I'm Beta to the Obsidian Pack and there are two Beta's and three Delta's of the Alpha King. As soon as Damien finds his Luna, all will we found.

Luna : Okay, so for now it's just you two. So if you need any help then come to us.

Damien : Yes Mom and Dad. Now you guys go and rest and take Pierce's parents too.

And then they left. And again Damien and Pierce got busy in their work but they were disturbed by a commotion downstairs.

COMMOTION DOWNSTAIRS

In Jack and Madeline's room,

Maddie : Jack, you know Stella ?

Jack : Yeah the pack slut. What about her ??

Maddie : What are you saying ?? She is my friend and dare you say her slut. She shouted on him.

Jack : Did you forget that before finding you she tried to bed me and then the fight you both had for me. And still you consider her as your friend.

Maddie : Whatever we sorted our differences and now she wants my help.

Jack : Oh wow, one slut needs another slut's help. What a day I have lived up to see ?

Maddie : Shut up. You know what are you speaking. I'm your mate.

Jack : I know you are my mate and I also know how many times you have opened that sexy legs for the pack mates. So you just shut it because I'm losing my calm.

Maddie : I've already apologized for that and you too have accepted me. So now why are you bringing that back ??

Jack : I'm the one who brought the topic or is it you who wanted to talk about Stella. And he punched a hole in the wall besides him.

Maddie : It's just that she was asking for help. And I'm not going to be like her again. She spoke in a low voice and few tears escaped her eyes.

Jack heard her sniffing and turned back to look at her and the sight in front of him broke his heart in million pieces. Even though she had cheated him in the beginning, she had came across loving him and being with him. All her duties of being his mate and life partner, she had fulfilled with her heart. He and his wolf were hurt for her betrayal but yet loved her with her flaws. They couldn't see her like this and pulled her in their embrace.

Jack : Maddie shh.... it's okay. Calm down. See here, I'm not taunting you it's just that your earlier lifestyle is something I couldn't handle.So please try to avoid this topic.

Maddie bobbed her head to his every word and he smiled at her behavior. Suddenly he remembered about Stella.

Maddie what help Stella wanted.

Maddie : Ohh that. You know when Damien was about to leave, he had called Stella to check something. Actually he had called her to check the cover his mate had put on him and Stella was unaware of it. Then Luna asked her to kiss Damien and when she was a feet away from him there was a force that didn't allow her to pass ahead and when she asked what was happening, Damien told that it was his mate who was stopping her from starting the mating bond. Then the Luna, Alpha and Damien gushed about his mate and Stella had to leave all humiliated. Then when she returned to her room, she was bombarded with taunts and bad words from the pack members and they insulted her badly. From then she is behaving badly....

On hearing her words Jack stiffened and that didn't go unnoticed by Maddie but she kept going...

Jack (Oh fuck, Stella will avenge for her insult when she will know about Damien's mate. But she is already mated to some other guy then there is no danger and I need to tell Maddie about her.)

Jack : Maddie I don't think that Stella could take her revenge from his mate and nor would his mate come over here.

Maddie : What do you mean ?? And moreover if he has found her then she has to be here with us.

Jack : That's the problem Maddie. He has found her but she already had a mate and so she can't come over here. And Damien already loves her so he can't love anyone who is not her.

Maddie : But if Stella becomes Luna then since we have helped her by providing this little information she would keep us safe. Think about it.

Jack : Ohk. But will Damien agree. We have to get Damien agree to this....................

And they heard a thunderous growl from outside the door.
