CHAPTER-22 : JACE

PIERCE'S POV

After making sure Anika was safe with Damien I came out in search for Arjun. Damn he was all broken from what fight he had with his sister and was lost. I need to find him sooner because of the bond he shares with Anika, it is highly sensitive as well as dangerous. Now Anika can feel him all along but can sense him in danger too and that was risky.

"You will find him better, if you shift" commented my wolf.

He has gone all smart since he knew he was protector of the Luna. He started making reasonable comments and that surprised me.

As soon as shifted the power slipped from me to Ace and he opened his link to Arjun. He tried to see through his eyes and made a dash deep in the forests.

With the vision he came across with Arjun's hurt and that made him run faster.....

When we reached him, we couldn't believe what we saw with our eyes.....

There he was crying lying on a log and was intently looking at the sky. When I looked above a gasp escape my lips because there was a cloud morphed in Anika's face and he was looking at her.............

At the sound of mine, he looked at me and scrambled to his feet........

"What are you doing here? My sister is she ok............Fuck, why the hell did you leave her with him......................" he asked me furiously.

Even though his sister had shut him, he couldn't shut his baby sister.

"She is fine and is sleeping."

His head snapped to mine and he nodded knowing the reason too well.

"I shouldn't have hurt her. She doesn't deserve all this. She is so tiny and fragile. And I failed to protect her" Arjun groaned in pain and continued crying but suddenly he clutched his heart and collapsed ..........

"What is happening to you?? Are you hurt???" I tried asking him but in response all I got was a growl.

Growl right................ Fucking............. GROWL ............. now this is not I wanted to hear.....

Fuck he is shifting and he doesn't have a mate........... How am I suppose to help him......

I tried going near him but couldn't move any further..... Damn......why this royals need to through light on crucial situations like this...........

Wait royal............. fucking shit..................

His shift will go on till morning............ And his link is open to Anika and .............

my thinking was cut short when I felt Anika here............

She came near him and fell beside him and guided his limp form in her arms. With utmost care she shifted his head in her lap and muttered soothing curses to help him with the shift............

Until now his arms and legs bones were broken.......

I was busy watching brother-sister duo consoling each other when I felt a presence back in my head..... When I felt Damien...

"Where the hell are you and why have you blocked me out ?????" He yelled through the link.

But before I would say something...............

"Where the hell is Anika??? She got up from beside me and just misted in thin air..... " he growled at the end. Only the closed ones know how much he despises the vampires and now that his mate is one, he is annoyed.....

I let him see the vision in front of my eyes and he growled furiously........... He shifted in Ryder as I heard the shuffling the clothes and was coming over here.......

In front of me Arjun groaned in pack as his ribs broke into pieces and seeing him Anika sobbed clutching his hand which was railing on her mercy.............

I heard whimpering from the link as Ryder heard her sobs........... How quick this tiny girl in front of him had wrapped all three of them around her................

One was in her lap, then the other was keeping a watch on them while the third was practically riping all the trees in his way to get over here..... Wow what a comic scene and then we heard a thunderous growl from the Alpha King himself.......

Ryder was 8 inches tall so he could easily tower any wolf he would come across. Besides that he was the Alpha King and pure black leaving his ears and paws and that fucking made him look cute. I chuckled at my thought and he growled besides me.

Hearing his growl, Arjun growled fiercely as he thought someone was there to hurt his sister. He didn't came across Ryder and his senses were all scattered........

The light which was dull around them, increased enormously and engulfed both of them but we couldn't see them. Their presence was lingering in the air but they won't be seen. It was like they were here but at the same time they weren't.

Ryder growled at their disappearance but since he could feel them he snorted in annoyance and sat on his hind legs waiting for the process to get over....

Almost 7 hours had passed and we heard the most excruciating and painful growl as Arjun's spine scattered to pieces and they were again visible to our eyes.....

Arjun's limp form was almost sprawled on the ground and Anika was a crying mess. He eyes were bloodshot red and there were bags under her eyes. She had exhausted herself too much.

Arjun weekly opened his eyes and linked me to take Anika away but she saw the little interchange and her eyes started glowing......

Besides me Ryder stiffened and growled sensing the power in air. Both Anika and Arjun were royal and they carried immense power to destroy the world.

Arjun growled in pain and Anika snapped out of it and closed her eyes and stated chanting verses that would sooth him and whoa.... Arjun's whimpering lowered but Anika's eyes frowned in concentration and a wicked smile appeared on her eyes.

She rosed to her height and held Arjun's week hand in hers and a lot of light passed through Anika to Arjun. His clothes started to shred as fur erupted from his skin.....

Now I knew what she did, she sped up the process and consumed his pain because when she opened her eyes they were swirling red and would sometimes glow white. To which Damien growled and shifted to his human form.

"Stop, Mel..... It's harmful. You are not a full wolf, You can't consume his pain. You are too weak for that....." He shouted furiously at her.

Oh so her wolf too was emerging.......... When Arjun snarled at him for shouting at his sister and limped to come in front of her. Even though he was weak, he would do anything to protect her..

Their staring was caught off guard when they heard someone groaning in pain.... When I looked to see Anika she was swirling for her balance............

Her eyes were changing from hazel to black to red to white to blue like Damien's but they weren't constant..... She was still consuming his pain and was sobbing uncontrollably as the pain was of re morphing......

Arjun let go of her hand as his hands morphed into paws and he was now completely shifted to a wolf. Anika let go all the energy she had left and collapsed in the arms of her mate and looked at her shifted brother.

Arjun or rather Jace was looking at his sister with pride who helped him in his shift and vowed to her that he would too be there for her........

Jace was as tall as Damien but little small... He was bulgy and strong like any Alpha male. His fur was midnight black and shined as the sun peeked through the trees. He growled at Damien and started to push him off his sister. Damien couldn't oppose him as he was way too stronger than Ryder. As soon as Damien was away from his sister, he moved around his sister round and round, smelling and remembering her. He had heard her sniffles and groans of pain when he was shifting. He was happy to have a sibling like her and wanted to protect her with what he had. He laid down beside her and licked her face to wipe off the tears......

She snuggled more to his side and hugged him tightly. Her arms clutched his fur and he felt ticklish but stayed still and a laughter rumbled his chest at her action. She whined and pushed her face in his chest and kept hugging him like a koala..... He let out another bark of laughter and pulled her close with his arms........
