CHAPTER-21 : Brother-Sister Tiff

DAMIEN'S POV

Somewhere around midnight, I felt that we weren't alone in this house and whoever was down there too sensed the same because their was more shuffling from downstairs. Besides me Anika stirred in her sleep and was slowly rubbing the sleep away from her eyes when her eyes met mine and they widened for a second and they lowered to the pretty ones that we loved. Ryder loved her being so cute and adorable. He urged me pull her in our arms and that's what I did.

After gathering her in our arms she mumbled, "That must be Arjun and Pierce." I just muttered an okay and soon the door busted to see two young guys looking angrily at me. I was going to ask them why when they saw Anika looking at them with confused eyes and they calmed down. Oh!! so she can calm them too. The guy who's name I learned to be Arjun was ,moved forward and called her and she just jumped in his arms.

Then Pierce called her and she moved in his arms. Damien was looking at her being the precious one to both of them. He did felt jealous but since the bond was one sided he couldn't go all possessive on her and held back.

Anika turned her head in Pierce's hold and looked at Arjun in a very sour way. Something was wrong and Arjun too catche'd that and mumbled a sorry but she didn't listen too him.....

'Why Bhai???? Why did you hide it from me??? About my own mate..........'

On hearing her words he looked at her and guilt pooled in his eyes. He knew he should have confided in her but their parents had tricked him and .......

"Sorry, princess but it was for your own good. I had reasons and I'll explain it to you but not now."

'No, I don't want to hear a word from you. You hide a very big thing from me. You knew he would care for me in ways which neither of you can do. Then too you kept him away from me and let me suffer.'

Tears pooled in their eyes and Arjun tried to reason with her but......

"Out..........." Anika shouted and Damien and Pierce were looking at her as too whom she said.......

Finally Arjun left the house and Anika broke down in Pierce's arms... Pierce's eyes turned golden and gone was Pierce, now his wolf had took over and he was protecting her............

Damien sensed the shift in power and tried taking Anika from him but he let out a thunderous growl and Damien backed out.............

Anika too sensed his anger and rubbed his back to calm him down... His eyes returned to normal and he carefully placed Anika on bed and covered her in the duvet and moved out.....

Damien moved to gather her in his arms and she snuggled more in him and let out a stifled yawn. He patted her forehead for a while but she won't sleep.

Meanwhile Pierce came up with a little food and motioned Damien too feed her. Damien did as was told but was furious as Pierce had got a small portion of meal for her. But he didn't said anything because right now her health was important....

As soon as Anika ate the last morsel, she collapsed on the pillow and Damien was shocked to the core. Pierce got up from his place and settled Anika properly and kissed her forehead. To which Anika's frown dissolved and there was a faint smile.

Damien learned that Pierce could also calm her but was agitated on her fall......

"Why did she fall asleep like that???" Damien asked Pierce containing his anger.

Pierce let out a helpless sigh ..........

"She won't sleep without Arjun and by seeing their fight I don't think she would make up to him this soon. So I did what Arjun had told me to do when she needed to sleep. I mixed some sleeping pills in her food and viola she slept................. And before u ask me about her low intake of food, I must tell u that I'm not the right one to ask..........."

"Okay...... Does that mean she is sleeping and nothing more right???/"

"Nothing more............. Now I'm going to find Arjun because if he goes far away then there would be problems...................." saying so Pierce dashed into the woods.

Damien looked at his side at the beautiful creation of Moon Goddess which was solely his and smiled. He pulled her flush against him and wrapped his arms around her and fell asleep beside her in a dreamless sleep.
