CHAPTER-17 : His Arrival

DAMIEN'S DREAM

ami........ ami........ Damien was startled to see his mate hovering over him, to wake him. He placed his arms on her waist and pulled her flush on him to hear what she has to say.

"Say" he murmured in her crook and she shivered at their proximity.

"Sam, get contacted me via dream. He said you should trust me with whatever the conditions might be. He said to be careful and alert. He saw our bond weakening because it's based on our trust. At one point, you lost your trust on me and it led to destruction. He said, Mason was waiting for that and then.............." His mate found it difficult to complete her further dream. By now Damien was wide awake and was comforting her. He drew soothing circles on her exposed skin and tried to calm her.

"Baby, Sam tried to alert us. We should be more careful now. I won't let you go. I'll always be attached to your hip." He joked and laughed at his own humor. His mate glanced at him and was content in seeing him happy. She placed a trail of butterfly kisses from his jaw to neck and then kissed his heart which sang a lullaby for her.

Damien noticed her messy state from the dream last night and cradled her form in his arms and led both of them to the armchair. He sat on the chair and placed her on his lap and uttered few words that got her both forms on edge. Damien could see her left eye glowing red with black swirls and right one blue with white swirls. He knew now his human mate was no longer in control and the control was shifted to her wolf and vampire. He commanded her wolf to leave and she obliged. Now it was he and her vampire. He asked her vampire soul to mark him so that Sam would have a body of his own and can protect his mate from Mason's danger. Immediately her eyes turned back to the hazel ones that he grew to love and then turned black. He found her body trembling with rage and anger.

She got up in a swift motion and her vampire took over.

"Damien, you would never say that again. Sam won't come on your command. He will come on his own. Besides he just has physic powers and some muscles, then too he will come when time is right. And now that you questioned my forms, you won't get to see us for a couple of days. We are going and your human mate is clearly hurt by your choice of words. She wants to mark you but not at this time. Let the time come and you will be like us." saying so she was about to disappear....

"Where are you going?" Damien asked her retreating form.

"Samuel" she said and with that she was gone.

Damien regretted his behavior but he wanted to protect her and that 'Samuel' his vampire spirit would talk to her in her dreams when he was supposed to communicate with him and not his mate.

"Mate, she you yourself said that Damien. Your human mate is fond of me as her vampire is fond of you. She seeks comfort from you but what you do, you push her away. So I have to come to her aid. Listen Damien not only her body but all of her forms are mated to each and every nerve of your being. She belongs to all of us. And so her forms are mated to you. If at sometime you aren't able to comfort her then let Ryder or me handle her and same you can do whenever needed. Right now she'll be here and I'll be at her service so it's better you let your brain rest for a while." saying so Samuel voice faded from Damien's mind."

Damien jerked opened his eyes upon the unusual dream and was pondering when he heard his driver saying him. "Alpha we are nearing your pack lands won't their be any patrol."

"There won't be just patrol, there would be entire pack to welcome us." He smiled and kept gazing the familiar environment.

Soon he was engulfed by the same feeling that came when he was leaving the pack lands. He was rejoiced to feel his mate residing in his pack. He now just wanted to find her and keep her with him forever.

He stepped out of his car to find his parents and Pierce waiting for him.

"Welcome home son. Did you find our daughter." inquired Nicholas.

No Dad. But I'll soon find her.

Pierce engulfed him in a hug and Damien felt a knowing comfort in his smell. He squeezed Pierce a little and moved further in his territory to meet other pack members when he felt a swift in the wind. He smelt a mouthwatering scent of roses and liliacs from their farm house direction.

Pierce smiled inwardly at Damien's sniffy attitude and pulled him away from the people in the woods.

Walking the familiar path Damien knew where Pierce was taking him. Pierce took him to the tree house where they use to play in their childhood. Damien stood below the tree remembering it when Pierce climbed up and waited for Damien to follow suit. When he found Damien standing still, he said

"Damien, I want you to meet my new friend."

Up there, he asked.

"No, not here up. But at your farmhouse and it is clearly visible from here and she is in the backyard."

Damien remembered the scent he smelled coming from the farmhouse and quickly climbed the tree to see where Pierce was pointing at.

"She there she is and she is going to sing a song I guess."

Damien looked at her and was astonished to find the most beautiful girl sitting there. She was the most gorgeous soul he had ever seen.

Pierce was describing about his encounter with her when he saw Damien was quite busy staring her, so he came down and shifted in his wolf and made his way towards his Luna.

He stood in front of her with his head down and Anika stopped singing for a while. She patted his fur and he placed his big head in her lap and sprawled on the forest floor.

When the voice stopped Damien opened his eyes and saw Pierce's wolf laying in her lap and she was caressing his head. Pierce's wolf nudged her to continue singing and he looked at Damien giving him a wolfish grin.

Soon they heard the opening of front door and soon walked Arjun amused to see Pierce in wolf form. He bent down to his level and patted his fur and Pierce whined in return. Anika hugged the poor wolf boy and Arjun snorted at their bonding.

But Damien, he was burning in jealousy. First he was angry on Pierce and then the boy who entered then. He felt weird seeing her. He was feeling as if he knew her but where. Suddenly, he had a flashback of his meet with her and he realized that she was none other than his mate, Anika. But than he thought did Pierce knew she was his Luna or the newbie. He was confused when he saw the girl or his mate was being twirled around the newbie's arms and Pierce was nowhere to be seen. Soon Pierce emerged from the trees fully dressed and went to her.

The newbie got her down and hugged her tightly and placed a chaste kiss on her forehead and went inside. His mate ruffled Pierce's hair and he took her in a side-hug and also kissed her sideways on her temple. Pierce bent down a little and scooped her in his arms and she chuckled at his gesture. He dashed inside the house with her in his arms and Damien was left with an empty backyard.

Damien was highly confused on Pierce's behavior and wanted to confront him.
