The Third
The silent whoosh deafening the ears of Roman and Virgil, as the two of them watched their friend dissapear right in front of them. It shook them to their very core.
Virgil was speechless, though his shoulders were shaking from fear and rage.
Roman, however, had plenty to say.
"How dare you, you heathen, you mudblood, you wicked evil villain!" Roman shouted, completely livid, as he stormed up to the two of them.
Thomas was flabbergasted. He never suspected hos babysitter to be so...cruel. Sure, he likes to play pranks with him, but this was different.
"Dee. Why'd you do that?" Thomas asked, his lip quivering slightly.
"I did it because I wanted to." SD replied.
Roman was now in front of SD, as he grabbed him by the shirt and snarled in his face.
"How dare you!" Roman said, his face bright red and livid with anger. His hands were shaking with energy as he glared into the eyes of SD. He was so frustrated.
He couldn't protect his friends.
They are trapped because of him.
It was his fault...
"Dee. Don't hurt him, please Mister. I know your mad, but this isn't a solution!" Thomas said, getting in between Roman's and SD's legs, pushing on Roman's legs.
"Why shouldn't I! He hurt my friend! He's a monster!" Roman roared, but he felt Thomas pushing on him.
"Please. He'll apologize! Right, Dee?" Thomas said, struggling to keep them apart. He was getting squished.
"Alright, that's enough!" Virgil suddenly shouted, marching over and separating the two, grabbing Thomas out from under there. He held Thomas in his arms, who was lighter than he looked.
"Roman, your better than him. Don't attack. Kids right. Plus, one more fight goes on your record and you'll have to move schools again." Virgil said, and Roman turned around to him, shocked.
"How did you know?!" Roman said, still angry.
"Your Papa told me, Romano. He said to watch out for you, to make sure that you didn't fight anymore. And while I hate his guts for throwing the magic book at Logan, we need to get Patton and Logan out of there first." Virgil explained, as he took several deep breaths.
Roman sighed, as he let SD go, begrudgingly.
"Get out of here. Now. Before I change my mind." Roman said, spitefully, as he walked back to Virgil and Thomas.
Roman picked up the book by the back cover, as he turned it over to see both Logan and Patton, dusting themselves off.
"Virgil, wanna ask if they're ok?" Roman said, as Virgil nodded, uncapping the pen and writting in the corner.
"Are you two good?" Virgil asked.
"I am uninjured, to say the least, however, Patton was right. The transferring from reality to book is rather draining." Logan's text bubble explained, as he yawned, adjusting his glasses.
"I know right! I'm so tired, it's hard to keep my balance. Especially since everything keeps movi- OH MY GOODNESS WHO'S THAT LITTLE CUTIE IN YOUR ARMS, VIRGIL?!" Patton's text bubble shrieked, as he put his face against the page, cartoonishly.
Said cutie was in complete shock, mouth agape, as he gasped.
"It's the boy! They're alive!" Thomas said to Virgil and Roman, as Roman nodded. Thomas waved at Patton, and Patton waved back.
"Oh, this is Thomas." Virgil explained.
"Hi!" Thomas said, taking Virgil's pen and writting in the book too.
"Hello there kiddo." Patton said, smiling brightly, even though he couldn't really see what the kiddo looked like.
"Greetings. I am the boy, as you called me. Thank you for your concern, it is well appreciated." Logan said, pulling Patton back slightly.
Patton chuckled, as he looked at Thomas, who had started doodling a flower in the corner.
Suddenly, to everyone's suprise, a flower appeared in Patton's hands. A purple one.
"Where did this come from?" He asked, looking at how pretty the purple flower was.
"It was from me. I drew a flower and one appeared. Isn't that cool!" Thomas replied, since Virgil was too shocked and Roman was holding the book.
"Interesting." Logan said, examining the flower as well. It looked like an actual flower, despite how crude the child's drawing was.
Suddenly, SD, who had snuck up on the three of them, pushed the book into Roman's chest. The sudden silent whoosh hit Thomas and Virgil.
Roman was second to last
