White's POV

The Skeld started shaking and I grabbed Blank and Emerald. Red and Brown came in running. "What the Hell is happening!?" Red screamed running over to Maroon and picking him up. Once the shaking stopped, Purple motioned for us to follow him. We went to Communication, then tried to contact M.I.R.A. We got a message from them saying they lost contact with The Skeld and it must've shut down. They also sent us a list of tasks we had to complete in order to get the spaceship running again. It was only a slight hiccup and soon we'd be able to continue our journey to Polus.

We all split the tasks and went on our way. I looked at a screen on my spacesuit arm that I had listed all my tasks on. I had to swipe my ID card, empty the garbage cute, and fix the wiring. "Hey Red, what tasks did you get?" I asked. She stiffened a bit. "Oh, nothing to important. Just-" She was cut off my Brown calling for her. She sighed. "Sorry, gotta got." She said, running off and waving. Weird... I thought. She doesn't usually do that... I shrugged and didn't care. I held onto Blank's hand and walked around to find Admin and scan my card. I found the card scanner and put my ID in it and swiped. Too fast. please try again. "Seriously?" I tried again. Accepted. Thank you. "Alright then. Hope that's not a problem." I thought aloud. After a short while, looked at the screen on my spacesuit arm. All my tasks were complete. Now I just had to wait for the others. I decided to explore a bit more and show Blank around The Skeld. We kept walking until we came to Electrical. I heard something in the vent and looked confused. "Kiddo, could you wait for me?" I asked. Blank nodded and stood there quietly. I smiled and walked in. "Hello? Is anyone in here?" I called out, walking over to the vent. The grate rattled and I jumped back. It opened up and something... No, someone came out. Brown. "Brown? What are you doing here-" I was cut off by something shooting out of his visor and into my shoulder. I screamed, terrified. This was not Brown. It was some sort of... Fake?

I ran out, clutching my shoulder. I grabbed Blank and kept running. He was too shocked for words as he saw the fake running towards us. I realized that not both of us could make it if I kept running like this. I had to find the others. I turned some sharp corners, enough to lose the dreaded creature for a bit, then ran towards Medbay where I heard Black's voice. I put down Blank, knowing he could run faster than me and I watched as he zoomed into the room, and I got dizzier and dizzier by the second. Ignored the black spots clouding my vision and kept trudging to Medbay.

"Blank? What happened?" I heard my brother ask my son as I collapsed and tried to get to my feet.

"Mama- F-fake! Th-there's a-a f-fake!" Blank stammered as I gave up trying to walk and started crawling, leaving a thick trail of blood were I went.

"A fake? Wait, White! Blank, where is your mom!?" Black responded, now becoming panicked, as I made it towards the door and saw Black turn his head to me.

"White!" He exclaimed, horrified at my state. He started running to me and I started to shakingly stand.

But before he could reach me...

The doors slammed shut...

I just stared at the closed doors as the realization dawned upon me. The fake had found me.

I began slamming my fists on the door in a weak effort to open them as I felt myself begin to pass out. I heard footsteps and turned around in terror to see the thing that looked just like Brown. But I knew it wasn't even human as its forked tongue slithering out of its visor. This thing. This fake. I took a deep breath as I accepted I was going to die. "You damned Imposter!" I screamed. Its forked tongue shot out at me and pierced right through me chest and I took my final breath.
