From the Journal of Alexander Achilleus

"The air in Mountain Glenn was heavy. We all were a little anxious about the battle to come. The end of the Rebellion was within our grasp. If all went according to plan, the ARK would be wiped out in a single stroke. The Faunus of the 13th were eager to be the ones to deal the killing strike. And to that end, I would see that wish granted."

As the Legions took their positions, the artillery guns were aimed at the encampments within the mountainside overlooking the town hall. Once the artillery guns were primed, Commissarius Banesaw  gave the orders and the artillery guns began firing on the encampments. As the artillery guns began firing, Commissarius Cedar began moving the Forge Legion to batter the outer defenses with tanks from the Steel Legion providing extra firepower. In a matter of moments, the encampments were reduced to rubble as debris from the mountain began to fall on the town hall, damaging it. Once the encampments were taken care of, the rest of the Legions began moving towards the western and eastern fronts. The 13th Legionis Imperatorie joined the Steel Legion in sweeping the eastern front. As they advanced, the two Legions encountered resistance from Atlesian holdouts. 

Atlesian Soldier: Don't let the animals break through!

As the Atlesian holdouts began firing on the two Legions, Commissarius Alexander along with Cisternina Commissarius Scarlet and Major General Caeser had their respective forces take cover. It wasn't long before commandeered Main Assault Tanks were used to fire upon the two Imperium Legions, forcing them to retreat. Many MATs were destroyed in the process. As they reached back to friendly lines, they began to survey the situation. 

Caesar: It seems the Rebels got their hands on Imperium MATs. 

Alexander: The longer those tanks keep us at bay, the more time the Rebel Leaders have to escape! 

Scarlet: We will not let that happen! Dear, deploy the rocket launchers to take care of those tanks. 

Caesar: As you wish. Have your men cover me and my battalion, Commissarius Alexander. 

With that, Major General Caesar began moving a squad of rocket launcher troopers into position while the Alexander and his Legion began laying down suppressing fire. Eventually, Major General Caesar and his men got a good shot at the commandeered MATs. The Steel Legion soldiers launched their rocket launchers at the MATs, destroying them. Once the renegade MATs were destroyed, the 13th Legionis Imperatorie and the Steel Legion advanced to the eastern front of the ARK base. When they reached the outer walls, they were fired upon by ARK forces, forcing the Imperium Legions to take cover. 

Alexander: They've got the eastern front fortified! 

Scarlet: Commissarius Alexander! My tanks will punch a hold in their fortifications! Once the fortifications have been breeched, have your men storm the lines! Major General Caesar, have our infantry provide covering fire!

Caesar: It will be done!

Alexander: 13TH! READY YOUR WEAPONS! CHARGE ON MY COMMAND!

The Faunus of the 13th Legionis Imperatorie readied their weapons, an Imperium Assault Tank aimed it's main cannon at the fortifications. The Tank fires a round which blows a hole into the fortifications. Alexander led the 13th Legionis Imperatorie in a daring charge while Major General Caesar and his infantry provided support. The 13th Legionis Imperatorie charged through the fortifications, suffering minimal casualties. Once inside, the 13th Legionis Imperatorie were locked in a heated firefight with a coalition of Atlesian holdouts and Desert Reapers. The ARK coalition held the line as the Legions slowly pushed deeper into base. But by this point, the Legions have established a strong foothold within the base. During the assault, an Atlesian soldier takes aim at Alexander. But before Alexander could react, a shot rings out. Alexander turns around to see Caesar with a smoking pistol. He turns his attention to the Atlesian soldier who was about to take a shot at him collapse dead on the ground. 

Alexander: You have my thanks, Major General. 

Caesar: Indeed.

As the Legion continued pushing against the ARK forces, the defenders were slowly overwhelmed by the might of the Imperium Legions. It wasn't long before the ARK forces began to retreat deeper into the Town Hall. 

Scarlet: We have the Rebels on the run.

Alexander: Should we push while we have them on the run?

Caesar: Pushing this far into their base carried a great cost. The Rebels above all else seek to inflict mass casualties on us, forcing us to give up all of our gains. Advancing so hastily is what they want. 

Scarlet: Agreed. We'll wait for reinforcements to arrive. We have the Rebels boxed in. They have nowhere to go. Your men did well, Commissarius Alexander. Your reputation is well earned. 

Alexander: We're just doing our jobs, ma'am. For the Emperor and the Imperium.

With that, the 13th Legionis Imperatorie and the Steel Legion fortified their current position and waited for reinforcements to arrive so that they may continue the assault. Little did they realize was that this battle was not only far from over, but that the worst was yet to come. 

"With the first stage of the siege of the Rebel stronghold on Mountain Glenn a success, we've established a foothold within their base. Though it came at a great cost, we got one step closer to our goal: the end of the Rebellion. And to every Faunus we lost in the assault simply fueled our anger. And we intended to unleash that anger in it's entirety on the Rebellion."
