Sure enough, as Harry pulled up in his driveway, Louis was already standing there, arms folded across his petite chest and brows raised at Harry expectantly

"Six minutes and forty two seconds" Louis said once Harry jumped out of the car

Harry raised a brow at him, walking over to Louis and unable to keep the smile from his face "You counted?" He questioned "That's sweet of you, baby" he noted, causing for Louis to blush

Louis fish mouthed "I-I didn't-" he huffed out, stuttering "It was just a guess" he defended

"Good guess" Harry complimented, reaching out once Louis was within touching distance and pressing the back of his hand to Louis' cheek "Alright?" He questioned

Louis pulled back, flustered "Yeah" he said quickly "M'fine" he added, cheeks pink "What were you doing at Zayn's?" He asked

Harry shrugged "So I'm answering to you now, hm?" He questioned

Louis smiled at this "Shouldn't be a problem" he replied easily "Seen as you're usually the one questioning me" he stated

Harry hummed thoughtfully "Suppose you're right" he muttered

Louis' grin widened "So?" He quizzed

Harry rolled his eyes in reply "We were... doing lad stuff"

Louis squinted, brows raising "Lad stuff?" He echoed

Harry let out a soft laugh, taking Louis' hand and walking them to the back garden "Come on" he murmured, leading the boy along

It was sunny outside, and the heat was just enough to redden the tip of Louis' nose; Harry couldn't help but smile at the site

"What do you mean 'lad stuff'?" Louis enquired "It wasn't anything...illegal, right?"

Harry snorted, gracelessly flopping onto the grass and tugging Louis down alongside him with a soft squeak "Nothing illegal, promise" he replied

"So wha-"

"My turn" Harry cut him off "What's got you so bored today?" He asked

Louis pulled himself into a sitting position and sighed "Everyone's too busy for me" he answered

"I'm not"

Louis smiled at this, looking away to avoid eye contact "Everyone else, I mean" he corrected

Harry hummed quietly "You're not asking the right people for company then" he concluded

"Jack was supposed to come round" Louis stated "Cancelled last minute because he'd sick" he explained with a soft sigh

Harry squeezed his eyes shut and willed himself to stay quiet "You're trying to tell me that I'm your second choice, baby?" He asked

Louis grinned, mood lightening up with every second that he spent with Harry "Third, actually" he corrected "Niall was shopping with his mum"

Harry gasped, offended "Third choice?" He echoed, shaking his head thoughtfully "In that case, I'll go back to Zayn's where I'm very much wanted" he joked, beginning to stand when Louis grabbed his hand, tugging him back down

"Don't leave me" the younger boy pleaded, pulling Harry towards him "You're not really my third choice" he promised

Harry gave in, letting Louis bring him closer "No?" He quizzed and Louis shook his head "Second?"

Louis shook his head again "Only didn't call you sooner because I didn't want to bother you" he admitted

"You'd never bother me, baby" Harry promised

"Not even your lad stuff?" Louis questioned playfully

Harry grinned "Course not" he replied

"What even is that anyways?" Louis asked

Harry rolled his eyes "Oh you know, the usual-" he cut himself off, shaking his head with a sigh "Zayn's still trying to set me up"

Louis blinked before huffing softly "Maybe Zayn should start focusing on his own love life and stop interfering with yours" he stated

Harry raised a brow "What makes you say that?" He asked, smiling down at the boy

Louis shrugged "Well, you're happy aren't you?" He asked "Just as things are?"

Harry's smile faltered "Sometimes" he replied

"You don't expect me to believe that you need Zayn to help you with getting a date" Louis stated and Harry shrugged "Harry, you could have anyone!" Louis added boldly

Harry tried to bite his tongue "Not anyone" he replied

There was a moment of silence before Louis broke it

"You deserve whoever you want" he said softly "They'd be lucky to have you"

"You mean that, baby?" Harry asked and Louis nodded "Think that might have been the only compliment you've ever given me" he added

Louis smiled "Who'd have thought it?" He muttered, turning his head to look up at the sky

"Okay, so what's the plan?"

Liam turned to Troye and glared "Why are you still here?" He asked

Troye scoffed "I was invited" he stated "And, just in case you've forgotten, I'm very much an essential part of this plan"

"Whatever" Liam grumbled "Just don't fuck up the plan"

Troye gaped at him "Me fuck up the plan?"

"Yes, you-"

"Guys, please!" Zayn said loudly, cutting the pair off "We need to think of a way to get this information to Louis without actually... hurting Louis"

"Okay well that's impossible" Liam replied easily "The kid's gonna hurt either way"

Troye scrunched up his nose in confusion "Excuse me, am I the only one who actually taking note of the fact that they've only been dating like... a week?" He added in

"Louis' sensitive" Zayn muttered

"Besides, they were like... kinda dating before this" Liam explained

Troye raised a brow, leaning back on the sofa and humming "Pray tell" he said

Liam huffed "None of your business" he replied

Zayn rolled his eyes "There's nothing much to tell, they were seeing each other before this and Jack fucked it up" he stated easily

"And that, my friends, is why second chances suck" Troye announced

"No one asked you" Liam replied "And we're not your friends"

Zayn scowled at him "Louis' forgiving and... we kind of set them up" he admitted

Troye blinked "You set them up and now you want to break them apart?" He questioned

Zayn shrugged bashfully "We didn't actually mean to set them up" he muttered

"Let me guess, in some fucked up way you did it for Harry?" Troye asked

"Again, none of your business" Liam replied

"Liam" Zayn warned

"What?" The brunette quizzed "We don't have to tell him shit"

Zayn sighed "He's just trying to help" he replied

Troye grinned "Yeah, what sexy said" he mused

"Okay, I'm getting a drink" Liam said suddenly, practically jumping to his feet "Want anything, Zayn?" He questioned. Before The dark haired boy could even reply, Liam turned to Troye "That's his name, you know, seen as you have trouble using it"

Troye shrugged "Sexy works just fine" he murmured

Zayn squeaked out "Water please" his face blushing a soft pink

"Make that two" Troye called, just as Liam made his way to the kitchen

It was at school the next day when Zayn and Liam finally reconciled with Harry

"Okay, so we kind of have a good plan" Zayn started

Harry blinked "Hello to you too" he replied huffily

"Uh hi... so about the plan-"

"I don't want to hear it, Zayn" Harry stated easily Zayn

Liam cut in at this "No really, Harry, we have a plan that's actually good this time" he promised "And I say that knowing full well that it's Troye's idea"

Harry faltered "Troye is now a part of my love life?" He quizzed

Liam rolled his eyes at this "And Zayn's apparently" he mused

"What-"

Zayn cut Harry off "Will you please listen to the plan!" He snapped, cheeks tinted red

"Okay, okay" Harry finally caved in

Liam smiled "It involves, wait for it... blackmail!" He said excitedly

Harry fish-mouthed "Absolutely not" he replied

"No wait, Liam's being dramatic" Zayn cut in "It's only sort of blackmail" he corrected

Harry scoffed "Oh wow, that's reassuring" he muttered

"Listen idiot" Zayn snapped "So, we were thinking that maybe none of us have to actually tell Louis about what Jack did-"

"Stupid idea already..." Harry mumbled

"-because we can just get Jack to tell him" Zayn finished

Harry turned toward Zayn with furrowed brows "Now why on earth would Jack tell him that?" He asked

"Because" Liam drawled "If he doesn't then we have video footage of it and we'll tell Louis ourselves" he stated "He's an idiot if he wouldn't want to tell him about it first"

Harry held his silence for a moment before answering "That... that might actually work" he said

Zayn and Liam simultaneously whooped, far too excited to be considered sane

Maybe Harry had a chance after all

I wrote this in one sitting ohmygoodness it's been so long and I really to enjoy writing this book, I just never have the time

I read the last ten chapters before writing this and I LOVE THIS BOOK, I'm so sad that I've neglected it. I plan to finish it within the next few months though
