Twenty-Five - New Developments
Every now and then I get a little bit terrified
And then I see the look in your eyes
(Turn Around, bright eyes)
Every now and then I fall apart
(Turn Around, bright eyes)
Every now and then
I fall apart
(Turn around)
Every now and then
I get a little bit restless
And I dream of something wild
(Turn around)
Every now and then
I get a little bit helpless
And I'm lying like a child in your arms
Total Eclipse Of The Heart - Bonnie Tyler
"Well this is new." Castiel spun at the sound of the voice. The first thing he saw was that the angel had an alcoholic drink in hand, bringing it to his lips. Dark blue met with a similar blue, the eyes holding an amused hint. "So, who do I need to smite?"
"Jenny!" Castiel turned as Meg grabbed the woman by her wings, holding an angel blade to her throat.
"Ah, ah, ah. Nobody move, or the pretty little angel here ends up just like the one I got this from." Jenny whimpered in obvious fear as Meg pulled harshly on her wings. Gabriel was livid. He glared at the demon but there was nothing he could do. Not without endangering Jenny. Meg tightened her grip and Jenny began sobbing.
"Midday." Jason growled. "I didn't know you were working for Lilith now." This caused the three demons to burst out laughing.
"Oh please. That worthless bitch merely wants us all dead. We want this thing for insurance." She gestured to the extractor. This also drew attention to Dean, who was held not far from it. He hung limply as Midday shook him around. She suddenly remembered him and squeezed. Dean came to with the sudden onslaught of pain as she broke his arm. All of a sudden she threw him, clutching her helm as Optimus caught the injured Winchester.
"Get out of my helm!" Metallicar screamed, fighting against Midday with every bit of her she could. A moment later she threw her helm back, black smoke escaping as she collapsed. Meg growled and held Jenny's wings tighter, making her scream.
"Wait!" Gabriel yelled. "I want to make a trade." She arched an eyebrow.
"What could you possibly trade that's worth this little trinket?" She asked, dragging the blade across Jenny's throat and down to edge of her shirt, stopping with the tip pressing into the skin. A rivulet of blood spilled from a small cut made by the blade and Jenny winced.
"Me. I'll hand myself over if you let her go." She hummed in thought.
"Hmm, let me see.... How about no? Because it seems that if I keep her then you have to do whatever I say. That is, if you want her to stay alive of course. And I have a feeling that if this one dies, she won't be so easy for you to retrieve." She stated, blade hovering over a soft glow in Jenny's chest. He paled as he realized that Meg knew. "Oooh, I've scared the archangel." She smirked.
"Looks like you did." Midday walked in, back in her own body. She stretched and looked to her. "Did you know my meatsuit's still alive? I haven't felt her presence in so long, I thought she was dead." She said.
Metallicar forced herself upright and Midday shoved her away. The second she was clear Jenny yelled. "Gabe!" He looked to her with pained eyes as she growled. "Three.... Two.... Now!" She jolted sideways as Meg thrust the blade towards her. It buried itself in Jenny's shoulder with a bright flash of light as she flared her wings. Gabriel ran over and caught her as the demon growled.
"Move now!" With that Meg and her demons vanished. Gabriel gently pulled the angel blade free and cradled Jenny, whispering softly as he peppered her face and lips with gentle kisses. She looked up at him and smiled as Sam walked over.
"Jenny. May I?" He asked. She nodded and held a hand over the wound. "Vitae." He whispered, making Jenny wince as the wound began to seal.
"Jeez Sammy. Some of us could have used that sooner." Metallicar winced.
"She needed time to recharge after last time I needed her help." He said walking to her. He repeated the word and cleared away the most serious wounds.
"What was she used for last time?" She asked, making Sam blush.
"Well.... I uh, I wasn't sure how to bond exactly. And I didn't want to ask so I had her help and... Ummm..." Now Arcee was blushing as well while Metallicar looked to them. "Well long story short I know not to overexhert myself anymore." He muttered, making Metallicar burst out laughing.
"Sammy, you are definitely the baby brother." She chuckled, her words hinting at something else as she sat up. But she hid it well as she looked around. "Dean?!"
"Baby." He winced and Metallicar stood, rushing over. She cradled him in her servo, holding him close to her spark. She looked to Sam and he shook his head.
"Tapped out." She nodded and looked to Gabriel with pleading optics. He still had yet to release Jenny and looked to the other angels.
"Cas, Balth? One of you two mind lending a hand?" The new one sighed and appeared beside Dean.
"Hello, my name's Balthazar and I'll be curing you today." He said, pressing two fingers to his forehead and clearing up his injury. "There. Happy?" He said before downing the last of his drink.
"At least you could be useful once today." Gabriel muttered while standing. Jenny leaned against him and curled as close as she could.
"Get a room you two." Balthazar sighed.
"Gladly." Gabriel grinned.
"Be safe!" The new angel called after them as they vanished. Metallicar sighed as Alice walked into the room.
"What the hell's going on in here?!" She glared. Everyone looked to Metallicar and she held her free hand up in defense.
"Don't look at me. I have to go get Ratchet and Casidy out of the Med Bay!" She said and left quickly. Optimus sighed and mass-shifted, walking to his mate.
"Come on. I'll explain everything."
-
Ultra Magnus looked to Stella worriedly. He was about to comm Ratchet when the woman stirred. "Stella?" He asked hopefully.
"Huh? Magnus? I just had the strangest dream." She muttered. He hesitated, still in his bipedal mode.
"Stella." He sighed. "It was not a dream." She rolled and froze.
"W-wait. You mean you're really a giant robot?" He nodded slightly and she though for a moment, chewing on her lip. "Are you.... Evil?" He shook his head.
"No. We are here to protect humanity from the Decepticons." She smiled a little.
"Well. It's nice to know I like the good guy for once." He mass-shifted and stood beside her, pulling her from the couch and into a hug. She laughed gently and kissed his nose. "Now, can you show me where I can get something to eat? Fainting makes me so hungry." She giggled playfully. He smiled and set her down, holding out a servo for her.
"Then allow me to be your escort to the mess hall." She smiled and took his servo, letting him lead the way.

Cliffjumper cracked one eye open and smiled at the sight beside him. Zach was asleep, something he told the red mech he enjoyed doing, as it helped him relax. Though not two seconds after Cliffjumper awoke the demon did as well. He smiled and curled closer to Cliffjumper.
"Hmmm, Cliff." He grinned as the Autobot wrapped his arms around him, pulling him closer to his warm chassis.
"Yes Zach?" He spoke, his voice vibrating through him and the man next to him. Zach looked up at him and gently grabbed his chin, making him look down more at him. He stretched a bit, kissing him lovingly. Cliffjumper wrapped his arms around him and pulled him up closer, causing the blanket to slip, now only covering their lower halves.
After he leaned away he took the opportunity to look Zach over, dragging his servo along Zach's side. "You know, the humans say if you take a picture it'll last longer." He teased. The Autobot brought his gaze back up to Zach's face.
"There. I just did." This made the demon blush before he smiled.
"Is it too early to say I love you?" He asked in a tiny whisper. Cliffjumper felt his spark leap and kissed him again.
"Never." Zach grinned.
"Good. Then I love you." He whispered.
"Good. Because I love you too." Cliffjumper replied. Zach snuggled up against his chest, arms still wound around his neck as the mech smiled.
"Cliff?"
"Hmmm?" Zach looked up.
"We should get up." He whispered against his lips.
"Why?" He pouted.
"Because if we don't then Jason is going to come and hunt me down. He sounds like he needs a drink." Cliffjumper looked to him.
"And?" Zach sighed.
"And if he walks in while we're like this?" Cliffjumper smirked.
"Who cares." He rolled, making Zach let out a tiny sound of surprise as he suddenly found himself on top of his love.
"C-Cliff!" The mech grinned and Zach smirked. "Fine." He leaned down and kissed him. "But you asked for it."
Unfortunately for Jason, Zach had been right about him hunting them down. Though the second he appeared in Cliffjumper's room his eyes widened and he zapped out. He shook his head and looked forwards.
"Well I don't know about you readers but I must go and gouge my eyes out with a spoon." He stated before shaking his head. "Not the place I want to see my favorite bartender." He muttered before vanishing.

Alice leaned back against Optimus' chest, taking deep gentle breaths to relax herself. Of course it also helped that Optimus was right there with her. She shivered a bit at the cold as Jolt did an ultrasound, using human equipment at Alice's request. He didn't want to anger the mate of a Prime so he obliged.
"There's the little one." He said, pointing the baby out. Alice gasped as it moved, seeming to feel the icy gel that covered Alice's belly. "Do you want to know the gender now or do you want to wait?" He asked. Alice looked up at Optimus and smiled, knowing what he wanted to say. But she also knew he'd say opposite if it was what she really wanted. And as much as she wanted to be surprised she loved Optimus too much to make him wait.
"Why don't you tell us Jolt?" She smiled. Optimus looked to her with a delighted grin and kissed her forehead.
"Thank you, my spark." He whispered. His attention returned to Jolt as he smiled.
"It looks to me as though, yes. That's right." He chuckled. "It's a boy." Optimus grinned.
"Looks like you were right after all." Alice said as she looked up at Optimus. He nodded and looked to her, pressing all of the love and adoration that he could into the bond. Alice smiled and sat up, kissing him as Jolt chuckled.
"I'll just get a few of these pictures printed off for you then." He said before leaving the area. Alice chuckled and Optimus looked to her.
"What is it my love?" She smiled up at him.
"It appears I am doomed to be the only woman in a family of men." She joked. Optimus thought for a second before laughing, the rumbling sound heard outside the room and part way down the hall, making everyone look in shock. Yes, they had heard the Autobot leader chuckle and laugh a little before. But never a full, booming laugh like this. Alice chuckled as the little boy moved in what she guessed to be amusement. She looked up at Optimus as he grinned. "At least I wouldn't be competing with a daughter for your attention." She teased. He kissed her again and smiled.
"I would love you both equally and keep you by my side as often as I could." He whispered. Alice hummed with a smile as Optimus took her hand in his servo. "And Alice?"
"Yes?" He smirked.
"You still do not look like you ate a watermelon whole." She laughed.
"Three more months love. I will." She reminded him softly. He nodded as Jolt brought in the prints. He handed them to Alice.
It wasn't until they were in her hands that she began to shake, staring at the tiny baby in the images. Optimus suddenly looked worried.
"Alice?" She smiled up at him, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"A baby boy Op." She whispered. He reached across the bond and smiled. He realized that it was still sinking in as he smiled and rest his forehead against hers. "Why does three months have to be so long?" He chuckled.
"It will pass faster than you think." He stated. She leaned against him, smiling before catching his optics.
"Hey Op?"
"Yes my spark?"
"This gel is really cold." She whispered. She grinned as this brought forth another laugh.

(TRIGGER WARNING: SELF HARM AND MENTIONS OF ABUSE!)
Jenny looked to Gabriel as he lay beside her. He was fast asleep, allowing her to slip from his hold and wrap a sheet around herself. She walked into the bathroom and stood in front of the large mirror that hung on the wall. She hesitated before dropping the sheet and looking at the scars that covered her skin.
She was suddenly thrown back into that tiny little cage, her wings pinned against her back as Nexus dug the blade into her back, making long, red lines. The floor and bars were painted with blood and energon as she worked to 'fix' her daughter. To force her to obey her every word. Next came the brand...
Jenny's scream woke Gabriel and he sat up quickly. He ran to the bathroom, seeing Jenny dig her nails into the skin between her wings. He tried to pull her hands free but she thrashed and dug down deeper. "Jenny!" He finally yelled. She didn't hear him. As a last resort he grabbed her wrists and forcefully tore them free, backing up as she swung at him.
Once beautiful green eyes were now surrounded by red with anger and memories of whatever hell she was reliving. Gabriel managed to restrain her, though not without gaining a few scratches and bruises in the process.
"Jenny please! It's not real." She whimpered and he wrapped his arms around her, forcing his way into her mind. Nexus was there, inflicting all kinds of torture that would make even a demon run scared. "Nexus!" She turned and was on him in the next second, grinning ferociously.
"She's mine!" She snapped.
"No." Gabriel growled and kicked out, scooping up the bloody Jenny. "She's mine."
Jenny gasped as she snapped out of her thoughts, finding herself covered in blood. Though she could already tell that not all was hers. She looked up, eyes widening as she saw Gabriel. "G-Gabe?" She whimpered. He looked to her and sighed in relief.
"You're safe now. I promise." He kissed her forehead and held her tightly.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you." She whispered.
"It's not your fault. It was Nexus. I'm going to find a way to keep her from getting in your head."
"It's the creation bond. Because she and Shockwave are my creators I have a bond with them. And they use it against me. Or rather, Nexus does. Shockwave... He doesn't care." She curled close to his chest.
"There has to be a way to break the bond." She looked to him.
"As far as I have learned there are only three. The first, they both die. The second, I die." She whispered. Gabriel hugged her tighter.
"What's the third?" He asked gently.
"I bond to the mech I love." She whispered. Gabriel hesitated. "But there may be other ways." She added, looking to her hands. She suddenly realised that the faux skin was in her hands and torn to bits. She sat upright and pushed backwards, shoving her back against the wall.
"Jen?" She shook her head.
"No, please." He moved to her side and scooped her up, kissing her neck gently. "You'll hate me."
"Oh Jenjen. I could never hate you." He breathed. "I love you too much. Scars and all." She looked up and he pulled her into a kiss, holding her tightly to his chest. His hands slid up between her wings, feeling the scalding burn. She gasped in pain and Gabriel looked quickly, eyes widening.
"Gabe?" She asked lighty.
"Jenny, get dressed. We have to see Ratchet now." He stood and walked over to get his own clothes. Jenny stood hesitantly as he brought her clothes over. He helped her with the dress, making sure not to hit the burn.
"Gabriel what's wrong?" She asked. He looked to her with worried eyes.
"You burn. I don't know how I missed it." He frowned, laying a cool hand over it. "It's infected. With something I can't heal." She paled and he scooped her up, going straight to the Med Bay. He silently hoped that Ratchet would be able to help.
Otherwise there'd be hell to pay for Nexus.

Lennox looked to Optimus. "I'm sorry. I tried to convince them to wait until Alice's baby was born but they don't listen. They've assigned a new liason. Blicks or something like that. She wants us to move out now." Optimus growled.
"A move is too much stress for Alice in her current condition. Pit, she can't even fly on a plane or be on a boat for too long!" He grumbled. "Moving now will endanger the life of my son and I will not have it." He stated.
"I-" They heard footsteps coming towards them and looked up to see a woman in heels, her suit pressed perfectly and a pair of glasses on the edge of her nose.
"You. You must be the Prime." He barely glanced to her. She looked to Lennox for an explanation and he sighed.
"Look. Alice is really close to Optimus. And he doesn't want to see anything happen to her or the baby."
"Is this about the interspecies relations? Because I know about that." Optimus turned to her.
"Then you know that the infant Alice is carrying is my son." He stated, not seeing Alice and Sierra both in the doorway. "A move to your Washington D.C. will put them both at risk!"
"Not just me but Sierra and hers as well." Alice added as she walked in, Sierra sticking close to her.
"Another?" Blicks groaned. Sierra shot her a glare, eyes turning dark.
"I'd take care. You don't know who I am." Blicks glared at her, not seeming to notice the color change of her eyes.
"Yeah I do. You're some girl who went and got knocked up by one of them." She gestured to the bots and Sierra only hardened her glare.
"I am one of them!" She snapped. "Half at least."
"Oh really?" The liason scoffed. Sierra growled and paused as a hand rested on her shoulder.
"Sierra. Stress is not good for the baby." She looked back as Jason stepped up beside her. "Blicks, was it?"
"Yes, and who the hell are you?"
"Ah, hell is exactly it." He smirked. "I am Jason, king of hell and elder brother to our dear Sierra here." Blicks looked around in disbelief.
"What is going on here?!"
"What is going on is that they will not leave this base until their children are born." Jason said. "The Prime's son and my niece or nephew are both more important that whatever is needed."
Blicks opened her mouth to speak when a loud scream tore through the base. "What was that?" A moment later Gabriel appeared, uncaring that he stood right beside Jason. Another scream echoed through and he winced, covering his ears, as had all other angels. Jason and his demons stared in shock.
"That, miss Blicks, was Jenny...."
(A.N.: So, I was listening to my music on shuffle and it started playing Carry On My Wayward Son and then Hey Jude. So naturally I pop off 'It's an omen! Someone is going to die in the next chapter or one after that of whatever it is I am writing!' Because that's how it always goes when those two line up like that. And then I realized.... I already had one character death already planned out. :P My phone was right! ^.^ {C.M.})
