Thanksgiving Special!!
Seems so long since we walked in the moonlight,
Making vows that just can't work right.
Open your arms, opens your arms,
Open your arms, baby, let my love come running in.
Rock and Roll - Led Zeppelin
(A.N.: So I stumbled into this song a little while ago and forgot how much I loved it. And it's in true Supernatural style so I figured I'd use it. As for this, it's not really a chapter, more like a one-shot I decided needed done. ^.^ So I hope you all enjoy. A quick note, Juliet isn't sick in this and there's a minor self-insert, adding to the fact that it's not a chapter. :P Enjoy! {C.M.})
Dean smirked, music quietly pumping through Blaster's cassette player as the man moved around the kitchen, skillfully dodging the other men. They had recently realized it was Thanksgiving and decided to give the women the day off. So the bots and humans were all working around each other. Pit, even Jason was helping, claiming it might help Juliet admit that she loved him.
Said king of hell now ducked as Optimus' holoform moved past him, nearly hitting him with a wooden spoon. He turned again to apologize for nearly hitting him, making the spoon fly from the bowl and hit Crowley in the back of the head. "Hey! Watch it!"
"Oops, sorry. My bad." Optimus grinned innocently.
Dean chuckled and slid to a stop in front of one of the many ovens. Inside were several pies of various flavors. He had opted to do those, since not many in the room knew how to make a pie.
As he turned to make the final one he heard an explosion from the other end of the kitchen. Granted not everything had been going as planned, but nothing had blown up. Until now.
Wheeljack's holoform stumbled back away from the turkey and Dean sighed. "Jackie?"
"Yes?" He looked to him, hair frazzled as Dean shook his head.
"Did you put the turkey in frozen?" He chuckled.
"Maybe?" Everyone collectively facepalmed.
"Why was it still frozen?" He scratched the back of his neck.
"Because I forgot to pull it out of the freezer. But the other one's still good." Jason sighed and shook his head.
"Do you think that one turkey will be enough with the amount of people here?" Castiel asked, helping Gabriel make something for Jenny. He had insisted on it so that she felt welcome as well.
"It should be, if we do this right." Gabriel shrugged. "Now come on. We need to finish this!" He grinned, making his little brother sigh.
-
A few hours later found the girls slowly waking up, wondering why their alarms hadn't gone off. It was nearly noon and they had expected their guys to get them up. Especially with it being Thanksgiving. The smell of burning food reached their noses and they rushed towards the kitchen, finding a few of them men angered and engaged in food fights. Dean was shaking his head, the remnants of a pie stuck to his face and shirt.
Metallicar chuckled a little before it turned into full out laughter. The other girls joined in, Juliet forced to lean against a smiling Jenny. Gabriel noticed her and stood, smiling innocently.
"Alright." Metallicar interrupted, making everyone pause. "What happened here?"
"Wheeljack did it!" Everyone chorused.
"How was I supposed to know that it would go on an attempted killing spree?!" He gestured to the remains of a turkey.
"Jackie here figured a few extra 'spices' would make the turkey better. It pulled a Frankenstein and went on a hunt for blood." Dean explained. Metallicar smirked and walked over to him.
"How about you boys let us handle the Thanksgiving dinner? Hmmm?" He nodded and tugged her holoform to him, getting pie on her.
"Sounds good." He grinned.
"Hey Dean?"
"Yeah?" He asked. She stood on her toes and licked the end of his nose.
"That was gross." Sam muttered.
"You had pie filling on your nose." He smirked and kissed her, interrupted by another of Wheeljack's concoctions exploding.
"We'll take it from here." Juliet smirked. "Why don't you boys go play Halo or Gears of War?"
"Yeah!" Gabriel and Bumblebee ran out, ignoring the mashed potatoes that covered them. The others slowly filed out, soon leaving only the women in the room.
"Okay girls. Let's fix this Thanksgiving." Metallicar called. Quickly the all set to work, salvaging what they could.
-
Jenny carefully set the table, laying out plates and silverware on the silvery tablecloth. An idea occurred to her as she set the last plate down, darting from the room. She came back with a clean Gabriel and a few candle holders. He was smiling at her silent enthusiasm as she placed them in even spaces along the table, Gabriel following and making the whole setup look more festive.
After about half an hour of decorating the room Jenny turned to Gabriel. "Thank you for your help Gabe." She reached up, placing a kiss on his cheek before running off to get back to the kitchen. Gabriel smiled before walking back to the Rec Room.
-
At six o' clock sharp, Metallicar and Juliet walked into the room. "Pause your game boys, it's time to stuff yourselves." She teased. Nevertheless they all stood, following her to the lesser used Rec Room. Everyone but Gabriel and the women stopped, staring in awe at the decorations.
They then took note of the women seated around the table, food spread across and filling almost every open space. There was no doubt that there was enough for everyone on base. The guys all moved forwards, finding their respective places beside the ones they loved. Alice smiled lovingly up at Optimus as he took the seat everyone insisted he sit in. He dipped down and kissed her. He sat at the end of the table, suddenly realizing why they wanted him to sit there. A touch of research showed it to be reserved for the head of the family.
He sat and looked among the familiar faces, chuckling as he saw that even Cyber had come away from her writing to joining them. She sat beside Wheeljack and he grinned.
"Cyber. Nice to see you here." She smirked.
"Well, in all honesty, I fel' ya guys'd like me 'ere." This made everyone chuckle as Optimus smiled. "Besides. Wouldn' miss it for the world."
"I'm glad you could join us." After a few more words and a small scuffle, everyone had their food and were eating calmly. Desert soon followed, it being the pies that Dean had made. He grinned at the fact that they had survived. And also that Cyber, who had a sweet tooth to rival Gabriel's, had stated that it was some of the best pie she had ever tasted.
Once everyone was finished Dean looked to Metallicar. "Thanks for saving dinner Baby." He smiled.
"It wasn't just me. All the girls, minus Cyber, helped. We tried to get her aid but her lazy aft didn't want to come out."
"I heard that!" She called, smirking as she leaned against Wheeljack. He wrapped his arm around her and shook his head. Beside them, Jenny chewed on the last of the chocolate lollipops, which had been Gabriel's idea for her. After noticing that, Dean's attention turned back to Metallicar.
"Still. It would have been a disaster if we were left to it. Expecially Wheeljack." He ignored the mech's protests as he dipped down and kissed Metallicar, unknowingly doing it at the same time Jason kissed Juliet.
"Awww. Ain't they sooo 'dorable?" Cyber grinned. Metallicar rolled her eyes as Jason looked over everyone's heads.
"Happy Thanksgiving everyone."
(A.N.: Two things. One, I accidentally dropped my headphones on the bed while listening to the song. Apparently this kitten I've got here likes Led Zeppelin. ;-; And two, 'game boys.' = Unintentional pun. lol But hey, why not? And as for Cyber and Wheeljack. I got one word for that... Mine. XD Just kidding. Jackie's my favorite Autobot. ^.^ Anyways. I hoped you liked it. (Eveniftwasveryshort,I'msorryforthat.) So bye for guys and gals! :P Enjoy your Thanksgiving! {C.M.})
