Chapter Twenty-Seven - Adam and M.E.C.H.
I never walked on the narrow path
I always wanted what I didn't have
All was not enough, riding lady luck
Driving in the fast lane and just stepped on the gas
'Cause I was raised on rock
My dad was howling but my heart was a rolling stone
Yeah, I was raised on rock
My mama said I had a devil to scratch my soul
And I was raised on rock, raised on rock
Raised On Rock - Scorpions
Metallicar fastened Mary and Silver in the back seat as the plane touched down, Dean and Sam moving to climb into the car. "Baby, I don't see why you want to take the twins. It's probably a trap anyways."
"They need some time off base." She stated. "I figure while we're out we could do something." She explained, sitting between them and fastening a bracelet to each of their wrists. Dean watched in awe as a holoform covered the twins. Mary looked to Dean with a smile, sandy blonde hair falling in her face. She grinned happily, her green eyes shining. Her facial features were a near perfect blend of Dean's and Metallicar's. Silver, however, looked like an almost exact duplicate of Dean, with only hints of his mother's features. Her black hair, for example.
"Opi!" Silver grinned. Dean melted as Metallicar chuckled, her holoform vanishing as Dean let go of the wheel. Instantly Metallicar took over, there being virtually no change as control transitioned between them. Dean managed to crawl over the seat without kicking his brother in the head and sat between the car seats.
"Opi!" Mary giggled as well. Dean unhooked her and scooped her into his arms, doing the same with Silver right after.
"Oh, you two." He smiled, hugging them close to his chest. Sam chuckled and Silver reached for him.
"Unca!" Sam grinned and grabbed him, setting him on his lap as Metallicar's holoform appeared. Silver smiled but stayed seated with Sam. "Tebby dare!" He told her, hands on the glovebox. With a chuckle his mother opened it, revealing the stuffed bears that Galloway had given the twins. Sam grabbed Silver's for him and handed Mary's to her.
The little girl instantly latched onto it, hiding in the soft fur of the bear. Dean chuckled at his daughter's antics and gently tickled her side, making her giggle and squirm. He smiled as Mary curled against the bear with a gentle of chirp of happiness.
An hour later Metallicar looked to the back seat, fighting back a grin as she saw Dean sprawled across the back seat, the two car seats now on the floor. Laying on his back in a similar manner was Mary, her bear tucked in beside her. Metallicar quickly saved the image, never wanting to lose it.
It took quite some time before they reached their destination. And when they did Metallicar was quick to gather the twins. She climbed from her alt as Dean dug out a small bag and slammed the trunk shut, momentarily forgetting it was Metallicar as she winced.
"Sorry baby." He walked over and kissed her, stealing Mary away as she smiled a bit. They entered the small cafe and Sam and Dean went to sit, the latter pulling a chair around for Metallicar to sit next to him. He smiled as she did.
"Dean, I'm telling you. This kid checks out." Sam said, frowning. Metallicar dared not say anything as Silver curled into her arms, watching out the window. This reminded the woman that her children had never been off base and she made note to take them by a toy store later.
"Listen. There's an entry in Dad's journal from January, 1990. Saying he's headed to Minnesota to check out a case. That's roughly, oh, about nine months before the kid was born." Sam explained and Metallicar snapped from her daze, wondering what had been said when she was out of it.
"Coincidence," Dean spoke firmly, words leaving no room to argue.
"Coincidence? Next two pages in the journal... torn out," Sam replied while showing him the jagged edges. Dean stared at it, remaining silent for a moment.
"You're not actually buying this, are you?"
"Look man, I don't wanna believe it either, I'm just saying, it's possible," Sam shrugged. "I mean Dad would be gone for weeks at a time, and he wasn't exactly a monk. I mean, hunter rolls into town, kills a monster, saves the girl. Sometimes the girl's grateful." Dean grimaced at the thought and shuddered.
"Well now I'm thinking about dad sex. Stop talking."
"Maybe he slipped one past the goalie..." Sam just kept going on.
"Dude!" Dean says loudly.
Just then the door opened and Metallicar looked up, passing Silver to Sam.
"Adam." She breathed.

Jenny sat on the plane, leaning against Wheeljack's side and fast asleep. The mech was the only one traveling with Blicks, Jenny and fifteen soldiers he didn't recognize. They hadn't been allowed to bring anything with them yet. And while Wheeljack found it suspicious he never said anything. He simply kept his adoptive daughter close as the plane flew. Suddenly Blicks turned to them with a feral grin, light blonde hair falling in her face and dark eyes focused on him.
"So I have something important to tell you both." She spoke as a soldier kicked Jenny to force her awake. "My name isn't Blicks. It's Bishop. My twin brother is Leland Bishop but don't tell him I told you that." The plane landed and some kind of dart hit Wheeljack in the neck.
He watched as a man with a scarred face walked in, smirking. "Well done Seraph." He smirked, watching the mech as he began to fall into a haze.
"Thank you, Silas." Wheeljack heard no more as he hit the floor, everything going dark.

Metallicar tugged Adam into a hug and he returned it. "Baby, I never thought I'd see you again." He confessed, hanging on her. Sam and Dean stared in shock as she sat him down. She took her sead by Dean as Silver crawled back to her. "Baby is... Is he yours?" The woman smiled.
"Yes. He is."
"Alright, cut the chit-chat." Dean snapped, sending a slight glare to Metallicar. She winced and looked away. Mary, sensing the tension, was quick to move to Sam's lap. Though if Dean noticed he didn't comment.
"Right. So... how did you know my dad?" Adam asked.
"Uh, we worked together." Sam explained as Mary grabbed a napkin from the table. She hugged it to her chest since she didn't have her bear and watched Adam.
"How'd he die?" He asked lightly, hoping the conversation wouldn't frighten the children.
"On the job." Sam said. Adam suddenly looked a bit confused.
"He was a mechanic, right?" He asked.
"A car fell on him." Dean snapped, rather harshly and Mary squeaked, looking to him.
"Opi!" She pouted, hugging the napkin. Dean softened and took his girl, holding her close to his chest.
"Hey Adam, how you doing?" The waitress asked, walking up with a glass of water. Dean quickly grabbed the water.
"I'll take that. Sorry. My daughter gets thirsty." He explained as Mary tapped the glass, giggling excitedly as it rippled. The waitress merely returned her attention to Adam.
"The usual, Adam?" He nodded.
"Yeah, thanks Denise." He then grabbed the glass of what Metallicar assumed was holy water and took a drink. Nothing happened. Dean looked disappointed as Mary carefully reached for the glass. Dean held it for her as she took a tiny sip.
Ratchet had already told him they'd be able to eat soft foods and drink things other than energon. If they wanted to, of course. Silver curled into Metallicar's chest as she asked the passing waitress if they had any applesauce. Looking to the two children she smiled and nodded. "Sure thing honey. I'll be right out with two. Sound good?" She smiled brightly.
"Thank ya." Denise left again and Dean looked to Metallicar, smiling happily.
"So, Baby." Adam spoke, gaining her attention. "When did you get married?" He asked.
"A little over a year ago. I met Dean and fell hopelessly in love." She smiled to the man as Mary played with a spoon. Adam smiled.
"Well you two have some adorable kids." Dean looked to the young man as Sam spoke up.
"So, uh. When's the last time you saw John?" Adam merely shrugged.
"I don't even know. Couple of years?" Before anyone else could say anything Mary yelped. She had slipped from Dean's attention and dumped water all over herself.
"Oh Mary." Metallicar smiled a bit. "Here, I'll go get her changed." She scooped up the soaked girl as Silver climped over to Dean. His shirt was soaked as well but he was ignoring it in favor of looking worriedly to his daughter.
"Yeah, get her dry and warm. We don't want her getting sick." Metallicar smiled and leaned over, kissing Dean quickly before leaving. She walked to her alt and set Mary on the hood, grabbing a towel from her subspace and wrapping it around her. She then reset her holoform so that only her clothes were dry. A few moments later she walked back into the diner.
"-taught me poker, pool... even bought me my first beer when I was fifteen." Adam was smiling as he finished speaking. Dean glared at him and Metallicar felt his irritation through the bond. "And, uh he showed me how to drive. Dad, he had this beautiful sixty-seven Impala-"
"Oh, this is crap! You know what, you're lying!" Dean cut in.
"No I'm not," Adam says.
"Yeah you are," Dean insists as he glared angrily.
"I'm sorry, but the who the hell are you to call me a liar?" Adam asked, glaring at him while Silver hid in his father's shirt.
"We're John Winchester's sons, that's who. We are his sons!" Dean gestured from Sam to himself.
"I've got brothers?"
"No, you don't have brothers! Look man, I don't know if you're a hunter or what kinda game you're playing here." Dean growled. Metallicar soothed the twins through their bond and Silver looked up.
"I have never been hunting in my life!" Adam says.
"Whatever. I'm out of here. Come on, Sam. Baby, let's go." Dean says, standing up with Silver in his arms and starting to leave.
"I can prove it!" Adam calls.
"How?" Dean asked, looking to him while Silver managed to crawl in Dean's shirt and poke his head out a bit on the collar of the shirt.
"Come to my house and I'll show you." Dean hesitated before nodding.
"Fine." Adam nodded as well, looking to Metallicar and chuckling at Mary, who was still wrapped in the fluffy towel.
"I still live where I always have, Baby."
"Please. My name's Meta." Adam nodded.
"I'll see you there Meta." She hugged him once before he left.
"Sam, would you mind taking Mary and Silver? They look like they were really wanting that applesauce." Sam nodded and took the children, going back to the table and gathering their silverware as he sat.
Dean and Metallicar headed outside, but once they were by her alt Dean stilled. "Dean?" Metallicar asked hesitantly.
"So, Baby." She winced at the way he spoke, the sole word that was normally filled with so much love and adoration was filled with irritation and a darkness she didn't want to go into. "Any more half-siblings you may have forgotten to mention?!" He snapped.
"Dean, John made me swear to-
"To what?! Lie to us about more family?! He's dead Metallicar! And you could have told me at any time after that!" He snapped and the femme recoiled. "You should have told us the damn truth!" She felt anger well within her spark as she growled, making sure the twins couldn't feel what they were feeling.
"So ya could what? Hunt Adam down and treat him like shit just because ya share the same father as him?! Ya are being an afthole Dean!" She glared. "This is worse than when Juliet-"
"You know what?! That's different! Juliet you hid because she was a monster! We would have hunted her. But Adam is human! Dammit Meta." He turned and walked past her alt. He opened the door to get in and Metallicar growled.
"Hold on Dean! Ya aren't setting foot in my alt until you get that stick out of your fucking ass!" She snapped. He slammed the door and she winced, making him snap from his stupor.
"Baby, I-"
"No." She shook with anger. "You're either walking to Adam's or following me in a damn cab!" Her doors locked and she turned as Sam walked into sight. "Come on Sam. You're with me." Her holoform vanished and Dean stared.
This time, when her holoform had vanished, it had vanished in sparks of red...

Silas watched as Jenny was chained to a wall. She began to stir as the masked men walked away from her. Silas smirked as her head lifted, green eyes looking around the room. "Where... Where am I?" She groaned.
"You're in my base. Where my dear sister Seraph had intended to bring you all along. You're apparently just too blind to see a trap." He smirked.
"In my defense." She winced. "I'm technically not even a year old." She growled.
"Oh believe me I know. And young minds are more susceptible to being twisted to the desires of others." He knelt in front of her. "Why do you think Gabriel 'loves' you? He can twist you, trick you into loving him in return with very little coaxing.
"No. No he loves me." She shook her head, growling at Silas.
"How do you know? He doesn't even seem to realize you're gone." He stated, sounding confident.
"I know he does!" She snapped, throwing Silas back. Her eyes shone a Cybertronian blue as she growled. "Gabriel loves me and I him!"
"Oh please. Anyone can fake falling for someone." Jenny growled and lunged, the chains holding her down. They creaked and groaned but didn't give in.
"Release me!" She demanded. Silas looked shocked at the might in her voice and smirked.
"Well, looks like the angel freak does have some power to her."
"Unfortunately she does. She holds sway over several angels. Which is why she and the archangel Gabriel cannot be allowed to stay together." She looked up as a man walked in, wearing a fancy suit.
"Who are you?" She growled. The man smirked.
"Well since you're only going to die here soon then I'll tell you." He knelt. "My name's Zachariah. And I'm an angel."
-
Adam sat by Metallicar and placed a hand on her back. Her face was buried in her hands as she cried. Sam was in the other room, watching the twins and fully aware of what was going on in the kitchen. Though he was glad he could keep Mary and Silver from seeing and hearing.
"He... He's never snapped at me like that. But I promised John that I'd keep ya safe. That nothing would happen to ya. I swore it to him Adam. That I'd protect all of his children. Even if it meant keeping them apart." She shook and Adam pulled her into a hug.
"It's okay Meta. He's just stressed out. He'll come around. Okay?" She only nodded a little as someone knocked on the door. She stood and walked to Sam, lifting the twins into her arms as Dean walked in.
"Sam, I'm gonna take the twins into town. They wanted to go to the park we saw. Okay?" He nodded and Metallicar turned, walking past Dean.
"Baby I-" He called after her but decided to let it drop, turning back to Adam. "Alright. Where's your you so called proof?"
-
Metallicar gently pushed Mary and Silver back and forth in the small child swings. She chuckled as they made faces, trying their hardest to cheer her up. It was working and she had almost forgotten all about her little argument with Dean. Almost.
"Meta, I need your help." She turned to see Zach and smiled a bit at the demon.
"Hey Zach. So long as it doesn't involve me calling on Dean, I'm all ears." She smiled. Zach looked confused.
"Why wouldn't you call on Dean?"
"He's being a collosal asshole." She then looked to Mary and Silver. "Do not repeat that."
"Opi being butt!" Mary giggled.
"Yes, a very big one." Metallicar then turned back to Zach. "So what'd ya need?"
"Dating advise. Badly." She chuckled and sat on one of the bigger swings beside her kids.
"Have a seat." He did so and swung slightly back and forth. "So what do you need?"
"Well... I want to do this right but it's been so long." He frowned. "What does Cliff even like to do?"
"Take him to a carnival." Zach looked up. "Cliche yes but he loved Cybertronian carnivals."
"A carnival. Hmmm..." He grinned and jumped up, shocking her by hugging her. "Thank you Meta!" With that he vanished. She chuckled and turned her attention back to the twins.
-
Jenny cried out as Silas smacked her. She sobbed, blood trickling down her cheeks. Silas raised his hand again and she screamed. "No!" She cried. "Danni, no! What have I done to deserve this?" Silas froze as she shook.
"What?" Her gaze was distant as she looked to the floor.
"I did what you told me. Those demons danni. I took care of them, just like you said."
"What is she talking about?" Silas looked to Zachariah. "Answer me!" He yelled.
"Please don't hurt me anymore." She whimpered.
"Very good, baby." Nexus praised, seeing Jenny shaking with tears. Blood soaked her wings as she looked to the corpses around her. Former demons, all of them. Each one had been slain by her own abilities, blades cutting through like the sharpest of knives. Jenny still didn't know how but it had been able to kill them without flaw. Smite them, if she would say that. "You'll make a good weapon yet. Now. There's only one thing left to do."
"Danni?" She whispered.
"Just one more little thing. That's all I ask honey. And you won't even remember a thing. Just like last time." Nexus smirked as Jenny nodded. "I need you to take out a very high profile target. I need you...
"To kill Jason."
(A.N.: Sooo.... I watch watching the Season Eight finale of SPN and... Well let's just say I decided to move along with Nexus' plans. It's 12:30 a.m. and I'm hoping it worked out as well as I had planned. {C.M.})
