Chapter Twenty - Relic and Capture

Pressure pushing down on me

Pressing down on you, no man ask for

Under pressure that burns a building down

Splits a family in two

Puts people on streets

It's the terror of knowing

What this world is about

Watching some good friends

Screaming, "Let me out!"

Under Pressure - Queen

Sam hazarded a glance over the rock, having sent Arcee and Prowl back to the bar. He knew they couldn't be anywhere near, lest he accidentally set the device off with his plan.

'Speaking of.' Sam sighed slightly. For the past few months the All Spark had been mostly quiet. Until recently when 'Con activity had picked up. 'I fail to see any logic in these speakers you want me to access.'

"Look." He whispered. "If you can get into the Demoncons speakers than I can do the exorcism ritual and while they're stunned I get the thing from Screamer."

'And you assume I'll be able to access them?'

"Can you?" She was silent for a few moments before replying, slightly annoyed.

'Yes I can but that's not the point!' Sam ducked down as a vehicon walked past. 'Here we go.'

Sam crouched and begun to chant the ritual.

Jenny smiled down at Mary, cradling the sleeping girl close to her chest. Gabriel watched from across the room, smiling as his young girlfriend whispered softly to the girl. He felt a sudden pang in his chest and grimaced. He turned his attention away, the feeling slowly fading. He realized, as he looked to them once more, exactly what it was.

The archangel had once accepted that he'd never have any kids. Not any that wouldn't be hunted like monsters that is. But something about seeing Jenny cradling Mary and humming softly to her make him long for one of his own. He sighed lightly, making Silver turn a bit in his arms. He looked to the boy and smiled.

"Sorry buddy." He whispered softly before gently placing him in his side of the crib. He instantly latched onto the black fuzzy blanket that he and his sister gladly shared.

As if feeling his love for the object over their bond, Mary chirped, looking up at Jenny with tired optics. The woman smiled and walked over, carefully laying her in the crib beside her brother. "Goodnight little ones." Jenny and Gabriel watched them curl up together before the man reached down, tucking them in.

Jenny leaned on his left side as he leaned back again, wrapping an arm around her. "They're adorable, aren't they?" He asked. Jenny nodded an agreement and nestled closer to Gabriel's side, smiling as he wrapped his left wings around her.

"Some day, if I ever am bonded, I think I'd like a little one. But..." He looked to her.

"What is it Jenny?" She frowned.

"I fear I'd make a horrible mother. Seeing as what I had to teach me." She muttered. Gabriel frowned this time and put his hands on her shoulders, softening as he saw tears glistening in her eyes.

"Oh Jenjen. You'd make an amazing mother." He dipped down and kissed her, holding her close to his chest. She kissed back, hugging him. He felt her tears against his own cheeks and pulled back, kissing them away. "Trust me. You would."

She smiled softly up at him and relaxed into his embrace. "Thanks Gabe."

"You're welcome sugar."

-

Metallicar ducked under a swing from a vehicon, twisting and swinging the blade in her hands upwards. Energon leaked from several wounds on her body and she was trying hard to avoid the demons around her. Jason had been helping but non of the demons listened to him, claiming Lilith as their leader.

Speaking of her, the black femme hadn't seen her yet. In fact, they had only heard of fifteen seals being broken. So either Lilith was on vacation, or she was taking orders from Megatron to hold off.

Still, Metallicar couldn't help but feel a twinge of worry. Where was the demon, and what were her plans?

Her thoughts were interrupted as another 'Con made a swing at her helm. She twisted in time to block a block from a familiar face. "Skywarp." The jump happy Decepticon grinned.

"Metallicar! Care for a trip?" With that he managed to knock the sword from the femme's servo, catching her in a headlock and activating his personal space bridge.

Dean looked up as Metallicar vanished in a flash of purple, his eyes widening as he finished off the last demon. "Baby!"

-

"Lord Megatron!" Skywarp called out in a sing-song voice. His response was a low growl followed by a soft sigh.

"It's Skywarp. You know he'll come in if we don't-" Skywarp decided to knock, interrupting Lilith. "You come in 'Warp and I will tear out your spark."

"But Lilith!" He pouted. "I brought a present for you and your berthmate." Silence.

"What kind of a present?" Skywarp grinned, looking to the femme at his feet.

"An Autobot!" He grinned. A second later the door opened, showing Lilith straightening her dress and Megatron walking up behind him. The femme's eyes brightened as she took in the form.

"Oh Skywarp you are my new favorite lackey." She walked over with a smirk and looked up at the chained Autobot. "Hello Metallicar."

-

Sam ran as fast as he could, barely managing to pull the Spark Extractor behind him. As soon as the demons had been exorcised ll hell had broken loose. Starscream, in his haste to avoid being possessed had bolted, dropping the Extractor.

The All Spark had called him a genius and then an idiot when he had hefted the object. Thankfully the femme in his mind was able to lend him a bit of Cybertronian strength, so that he didn't accidentally activate the object.

He rounded the corner to see Prowl and Arcee in bipedal form, out of sight of the road and bar.

"Hey! Guys!" He called. Arcee looked up, her optics widening.

"You idiotic genius!" She cried out.

'Oooh, much better than mine.' The All Spark chimed in.

"Oh hush." He muttered as Prowl took the Extractor. Arcee mass-shifted and hugged him.

"Thank you so much Sammy!" She grinned. His cheeks tinged slightly red.

"It was nothing Arcee. Anything to protect my family and friends." He smiled as she kissed him, hugging tightly to him.

"Yes, well I hate to break up the love fest but we have no way to get this back to base secretly."

"Actually we do." Arcee interrupted him. "Jackie and Hatchet finished a ground bridge last night. But they aren't one hundred percent sure if it'll work right."

"Well it's worth a shot." He glanced back as several vehicons cam over the ridge. "Call now!"

"Prowl to Ratchet! We need immediate transportation, fire up your bridge."

::Woah, wait. It isn't finished yet!:: Wheeljack argued.

"I don't care! We have Decepticons on our aft and the Spark extractor in our servos! Open the fragging bridge now!" Prowl snapped as he ran.

'Wow. The Enforcer can get scary when he wants to.' The All-Spark stated, sounding bit shocked.

"Yeah well I don't blame him." Sam stated.

::Jenny! Fire up the bridge!:: Wheeljack yelled. He heard an affirmative before Jenny was patched into the comms.

::Locking onto co-ordinates.:: She spoke. ::There should be a cliff 0.3 miles West of your position. Run to it and when I say jump you better jump.::

"What?!" All four yelled, even the ancient alien relic sounding a bit frightened.

::At the current point the bridge will only open at the same level as base. Which is exactly one hundred and sixty four feet below you. Now, we have the training mat for Autobot free-fall exercises prepped so get your afts in gear!:: She snapped. ::Jump in three... two... Now!"

Arcee scooped up Sam and returned to her full height, barely able to set him in her sparkling hold. Once he was secure Arcee and Prowl both jumped.

-

An agonized scream left Dean as a blade sunk into his side, making him twist and shoot the demon in the forehead with his shotgun. He clutched at his side, feeling pain from both him and Metallicar.

"Autobots fall back!" Optimus yelled as Hijack scooped Dean up. He ignored the blood pooling into his joints as the comms crackled to life.

::Optimus. Ground Bridge operational. Fully functioning.:: Jenny spoke.

::And the issue with the sea level?::

::I just got it fully re-calibrated and  repaired.:: She replied.

::Then open the bridge.:: Optimus glanced to Dean. ::And prepare the Med Bay.::

-

Ultra Magnus downed a shot of a human alcoholic drink. Jekyll and Hyde were sitting with Hot Rod and Rung, explaining their 'hunt' and why they needed to be there. He understood little of it and instead directed his attention to the humans milling about.

They were such a powerless, young species. Barely capable of even the simplest interstellar travels. Not to mention the were breakable, tiny and- a crash of glass interrupted his thoughts. And clumsy. He felt a beer soaking into his shirt and turned, fully ready to yell at the one who dumped the drink on him.

He froze as his eyes fell on a young woman with the most unusual dark green hair. He was stunned into silence as he looked her over, noting a tattoo curled over her shoulder and vanishing down her back. She was shaking slightly, pulling his attention finally to her eyes. They were a starling blue, darker than their optics but still beautiful. And then he realized they were glistening with tears, some of the drops having already slid down her cheeks.

"I-I-I'm s-sorry sir!" She grabbed a rag and quickly began attempting to dry his soaked shirt. He had forgotten about the spill.

"It is quite alright." He peeled off his jacket and Hyde threw him a shirt that would barely fit. "Excuse me." He walked into the bathroom and peeled off his shirt, using minor adaptation to clear away the sticky substance on his back. He then pulled on the shirt and walked out, his beer-stained clothes in hand.

He found the girl near tears once more as her manager screamed at her. "I didn't mean to."

"I don't care! You dumped beer on a customer. That's coming out of your paycheck!" He snapped.

"Sir. It is not her fault. I moved backwards as she was walking past. It is more my fault than hers." The manager looked to her.

"Is this true?" She hesitated before nodding slightly. "Oh. Well I'm sorry for yelling." With that he turned and left.

"Are you alright miss?" The Autobot asked.

"I'm fine." She was silent for a few moments before looking up at him. "Why did you help me?"

"Because you did not deserve to be yelled at like that."

"Still, I owe you one." He smiled.

"How about after your shift, we get a few drinks?" It was her turn to smile.

"S-sure. I get off at eleven. Meet me then." He nodded as she turned and walked off. He turned and sat by Jekyll and Hyde.

"Woah. Does Magnus have a date?" Hot Rod asked.

"It appears so." Rung looked to the mech. "It also appears that he may need a bit of high-grade to help him from panicking."

"Yeah. That would be good." Magnus looked up, catching sight of the girl again. She looked up and blushed as he did, both looking away quickly. "Oh yeah. I'm gonna need some."

-

Metallicar hung limply from the wall, feeling a throbbing pain in her side. She had been too well connected to Dean when he had been stabbed and now her side hurt. As well as the rest of her frame.

::Baby....:: She winced as she hesitantly opened the bond, blocking her pain.

::Dean.:: His relief flooded the bond, though she could tell he wasn't fully aware. ::Dean. Are you... Unconcious?::

::.....Maybe.:: A slight chuckle left her and Megatron slapped her again. "Ahh!" She cried out in pain as her wrists pulled against the chains. ::Baby?!::

She tried to block the bond but simply couldn't fine the strength to do so. The last thing she heard was a feminine cry from the creator bond.

::Danni!!::

(A.N.: Hey! Sorry this took so long. I've had some nasty writer's block. :/ Anyways. Please don't maim me! *hides behind Wheeljack* {C.M.})
