Chapter Nine - Recovery

I hear the echo of a promise I made

When you're strong you can stand on your own

But those words grow distant as I look at your face

No, I don't wanna go it alone

I never thought I'd lay my heart on the line

But everything about you is tellin' me this time

Forever - Kiss

"Don't you ever touch my sister again."

Gabriel stared in shock as Jenny towered over the cowering men. Her eyes slowly turned green as they nodded. She blinked, surprised as she looked to them.

"Did I do this?" Gabriel smirked.

"Yes you did sugar, now let us out?" She looked confused before walking over and pouring water over part of the flames, Gabriel now able to move away. He broke the circle, freeing the other two. Jenny walked over, standing by the bed.

"S-so this is Juliet Winchester." She grabbed her hand, Juliet groaning slightly. She moved to back away but Juliet's hand tightened for a moment.

"What?" The vampire spoke groggily. Jenny stared down at her as she blinked. "Who are you?"

"Jenny. I'm new." Juliet smiled.

"Welcome." She chuckled. "I would give you a better welcome, but as you can see I've been confined to bed. At least until my boyfriend gets his ass in gear and saves me." She joked.

"Boyfriend?" Jenny laughed a bit.

"Yeah. Real nutty guy. King of hell." She smiled. "But don't tell him I called him my boyfriend. It'd go to his head."

"Don't worry Juliet." Jenny reassured her. "I won't."

"Thanks." Juliet whispered. "Can I go back to sleep now?"

"Sure. I'll talk to you more when you wake up." The younger girl smiled. Juliet fell asleep once more and Jenny knelt again, holding one hand with both of hers. She could tell Juliet couldn't hear her as she slept so she chose to speak. "I just hope you get better soon." Her wings drooped slightly.

"Come on Jenny. Let her sleep." Gabriel placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Yeah." She stood. "Please, Juliet. I can't lose my sister just so soon after meeting her." With that she gently let her hand down and left, Gabriel hugging her gently.

Alice snuggled up against Optimus, who was sitting in the Rec Room with her on his lap. Since they had discovered her pregnancy he had taken to remaining in his mass-shifted form. He hadn't really wanted her to stray to far from him, and her protective nature only supported that. She pressed her back up to his chest as his arms wound around her, hands settled over her abdomen.

Despite there being nothing visible yet, he felt like it protected the youngling in a way. Alice placed her hands over his servos and wound her fingers in his. She turned her head and he kissed him, running his thumb along the shirt that hid her skin. He broke the kiss a moment later and looked into Alice's eyes, the blue more prominent now than every before. The brown coloration had all but vanished, tiny traces left behind.

"Optimus?" She whispered.

"Yes my dearspark?"

"Something wrong?" He shook his head.

"Nothing is wrong." She smiled and leaned back again.

"Okay. If you say so, love." He buried his face in her neck and smiled, heading footsteps appraoching.

"Would you two just get a room?" Optimus looked up to see Bobby with a paper in hand. "Or go on a hunt." Alice shook her head.

"No can do daddy." He looked confused.

"Why not? You've never refused a hunt before." Alice looked back at Optimus and then to Bobby.

"I will not allow her to go on a hunt in her current condition." The man's confusion only grew.

"English?" He asked. Alice managed to lift Optimus arms and stand.

"Dad. I...." She paused, biting her lip. Optimus stood, placing his hands on her waist.

"Alice is sparked." Yet again the man looked confused. Slowly it dawned on him, his jaw dropping.

"You're pregnant?" He asked, shocked. Alice nodded and he stepped forwards, hugging her tightly. "Alice, this is great news!"

It was her turn to be shocked. "Really? I thought you were going to shoot Optimus."

"Thinking about it." He muttered. "But then you'd be upset with me and right now that's the last think you need."

"Yeah, stress wouldn't be good for the baby." She chuckled. "And if I ever got ahold of you after then it wouldn't be good for you either." He laughed and turned his attention to Optimus.

"I'm watching you Prime." He warned. "You better take damn good care of both of them." He nodded.

"Yes, sir." Optimus hugged Alice again.

"Good." Bobby nodded. He couldn't help but smile as the two hugged one another. However, he rolled his eyes as Optimus dipped down to kiss Alice. "But that doesn't mean I want to be around when you two make out." He grumbled and left the room.

"I think we just chased my dad off." Alice chuckled.

"I believe we did." He smiled and sat back down, tugging her into his lap and making her laugh.

"I love you, Orion Pax." She whispered. He smiled at the usageof his old name and nuzzled her neck.

"I love you too, Alice Pax."

-

Arcee stood in the doorway of the Rec Room, seeing Sam with his hands buried deep in his hair. He had been avoiding her ever since she caught him after he drank that demon's blood. And she wanted to know why.

"Sam?" He turned, standing quickly.

"Arcee!" He looked around, trying to find an escape. But Arcee mass-shifted and lunged, catching him before he could leave. She pinned him to the wall, her optics pained.

"Sam." He refused to meet her gaze. "Sammy look at me." Her voice cracked, making him look at her. She stood a foot shorter than him, which shocked him a bit as even Metallicar's mass-shifted form was taller than him. But it was what he saw that made him sink to his knees as the femme did. She turned from pushing against him to clinging onto his shirt.

"Arc-"

"You've been avoiding me Sam. And it kills my spark. It hurts because I love you so much. What did I do to deserve this treatment?" She sobbed, coolant flowing down her cheeks. Sam instantly felt bad for avoiding her, pulling her into a hug. She continued to cry, clutching at him as if he were a lifeline.

"I'm sorry Arcee. But... What I did... It-"

"I don't care." She whispered.

"What?"

"I don't care about what you did. You could have turned to me and I'd help." She looked at him. "I love you Sam. And that's what you do when you love someone." He stilled and she slid a hand up to his cheek.

"Oh 'Cee." He sighed. He tugged her close and kissed her, holding her tight to his chest. He moved back after a moment, resting his forehead to hers. "I love you too. I was just afraid that you were going to despise me."

"Never. I swear." He smiled and stood, pulling her with. "I'm sorry Arcee. I won't do it again." She chuckled.

"Good. Cause then I'd have to hurt you." She joked.

"I don't doubt it for a minute."

-

Jason slammed into Metallicar's side. "Fuck, that hurt!" He snapped at the werewolf who towered over him. Metallicar was covered in scratches and gouges, energon bleeding from her damaged frame. She was barely able to roll on her side. She groaned in pain and Jason looked up at her. "Metallicar, you need to get out."

"No." She growled through her teeth. "Not until this is done."

"Metallicar you look ready to collapse already! I'm not letting you continue!" He argued. "Do you know what Juliet would do to me if you died?!"

"I'm fine."

"No you're-"

"I said I'm fine." Her optics went blank and her holoform appeared, picking up the silver knife from the ground.

"Look, king of hell, so weak. His minions won't listen to him and he can't even protect his girlfriend." Jason's eyes flashed as he glared at the werewolf. She grinned. "Oh yeah. We know about Juliet. Killing her was the entire reason we turned little Casidy Blumenthal. Because we knew that either Jekyll or Hyde would come after the little girl and she'd bite them. Alice was supposed to die in there but we'll get her later. This plan has been years in the making." Jason lunged and the were sidestepped.

"Metallicar! Get the leader. I'll deal with them." Her holoform crackled as she took off down the hall. "Now. Keep talking." He growled.

"Gladly." The werewolf lunged.

-

Metallicar struggled to stay upright as she walked down the hall. Just a few more...

"So you've found me." The smell hit first. She grimaced at the stench of alcohol, sex and dogs. "I suppose I should have chosen a better meeting place than my bedroom, given your expression. Although." She felt a hand on her neck as the werewolf stepped up behind her. "We could make this... enjoyable." She spun, narrowly missing as spots filled her vision.

"Get away." She hissed, focussing on him. He chuckled as she leaned on the wall, her blue eyes flickering.

"You're one of them. One of Hysteria's pets." She glared at him.

"Pet?" She spat, making me chuckle.

"Also the reason we want her dead. See, any psychic, hunters especially, that's screwing a Prime causes a major problem for us. You see. The so called Might of the Primes gives her an added bonus. Foresight, stronger telekinesis, the ability to call ghosts forth no matter the state of their body, the list goes on." He smirked. "Which is why she needs to die."

"You're not gonna touch her!" She lunged, slamming into the floor as he sidestepped.

"Oh, Metallicar Winchester." He dug his hands into her hair, using that to lift her up. She screamed in pain, feeling Dean's panic through the bond. "That's right. I know who you are." The werewolf snarled. "And so does my boss."

"What?" He smirked.

"You know him. Or rather did. He's changed quite a bit." She felt the werewolf reach for the blade, reminding her of it's presence. "Don't worry. You'll see him soon." She growled.

"You're going to regret this." She hissed.

"No. But I am going to enjoy killing you very slowly.... and.... painfully." That was her cue to move.

"Not today!" She twisted, a ripple tearing through her holoform as it faded and picked up, catching the fallen knife. She plunged the silver blade into his heart, watching as he froze in shock. She ripped the blade out as he stumbled backwards. She didn't even bother to move as he crashed through the window, plummeting to the ground below.

Against her will, her holoform snapped back to her, causing her bipedal form to turn and slam into the ground, a pained scream ripping through her. "Metallicar!" Jason yelled, grabbing her shoulder. Moments later she heard the familiar sounds of base, a scream echoing off to the side of her.

She wanted to apologize but even her basic motor functions had ceased, leaving her barely aware as Ratchet rushed over and began to work. Eventually the pain receded, allowing her to drift off into a restless recharge.

-

Sierra leaned against Soundwave on a couch in their room, thinking on the cards Alice had read for her. She was mentally checking off the cards and if they had come to fruition yet. Ace of Cups, a relationship that may lead to true love? She looked up at Soundwave. Check. Seven of Wands, a time to turn fear to your favor? She thought to the situation with Juliet. She feared for the woman, which in turn brought Jason and her closer together as a family. So check. And finally, the Page of Wands. Something good coming your way.

She frowned slightly. It was the only one that had yet to come true. And she couldn't wait to see what it was.

"Sierra: Hiding cards?" She looked up at Soundwave, who held the silk wrapped bundle.

"Not hiding them Sounds. Alice said they need to be kept wrapped in a silk cloth." She took them and unwrapped them, gently bringing them from their bag. "She used them to... Well, show me my future... Sort of."

"Alice: Strange." He muttered.

"But they were right! She told me of a relationship that could lead to true love. And here it is. You and I Sounds." She smiled, taking his servos after she put the cards away. "There were a couple other things but they were right Sounds." She smiled. Upon seeing this he couldn't help but smiling, slipping the tarot cards back where Sierra had them. He then rolled, pinning her to the cushions.

"Sierra: Silly." She smirked.

"But you wouldn't have me any other way."

-

Juliet sat up, gasping in pain and shocking Zasha. The puppy barked and hopped up, snuggling Juliet as she practically felt her pain subside. Juliet climbed from her bed, though still extremely weak, and stumbled to the door. "Hello?"

"Jules!" She turned to see Jason just as she began to fall. In a closed off section she could hear Ratchet and smell energon. "You should be resting."

"You saved me?" He shook his head.

"Not entirely. I had help, but they're hurt badly." She heard a yelp, followed by an irritated shout of 'Careful Hatchet, I need those.'

"Is that Meta?" He nodded and picked Juliet up, walking to the other section. Ratchet was currently welding one of Metallicar's door wings back on, the other still hanging limply by a few wires.

"Son of a carrier fragging glitch!" She yelled, her servos leaving enormous dents in the table. "Dean's more careful and he's never even welded door wings on before!"

"Don't bring me into this Baby!" Dean warned. "You didn't have to go!"

"I wanted to help." She shrugged, earning a whack from Ratchet's wrench. "Frag!"

"Language!" Gabriel reprimanded, Jenny sitting by him and giggling. Juliet looked her over, frowning slightly now that she could see her better. Her hair came down to her waist and her bright green eyes were scanning over everything, finally landing on her. She watched as the woman suddenly grew very nervous. "Jenny?"

"Gabe." She turned, grabbing his arm. He smiled reassuringly and climbed down with her by his side.

"It's okay Jenny." He walked up to Juliet, who managed to stand with little support from Jason. She noticed Jenny sink close to the ground, acting like a submissive pup.

"Jenny, it's alright. I won't hurt you." Juliet smiled.

"Come on Jenjen. You have to tell her anyways." Confusion crossed the vampire's features.

"Tell me what?" She looked to her feet.

"Th-they said you could h-help. M-m-my d-danni wasn't v-v-v-very nice." Juliet softened.

"Oh sweety, we share common ground there. But when I got here I was taken in by a bigger family. Sure it took a bit for them all to warm up to me but they're my family none-the-less. My mother was an evil bitch but my danni..." She glanced to Chromia, who was sitting with her eldest creation. "My danni is the most amazing femme I have ever known."

Jenny looked to the bright blue femme before feeling Metallicar gently prod her back. "Ya can do this Jen." The girl nodded and took a deep breath, looking to Juliet.

"W-well you see..." She sighed. "Your mother and my mother are... ummm... well, they're kinda the same woman." Juliet froze in place.

"What?" She sighed.

"Juliet. I am your sister."
