Chapter Eight - Werewolf Hunt

Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea

All we do crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see

Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind

Dust In The Wind - Kansas

Jason looked up at Metallicar, both of them standing off against each other. He growled low under his breath at the resilient femme. She refused to budge, demanding that he bend to her order. So far he had stood well against her. And he didn't want to break. But they simply had no more time.

"Fine. You can come on the hunt."

-

Mary looked at the thrashing form on the berth. Juliet was sweating and whimpering in her sleep, making the sparkling worry. She had already managed to push down the gate and, despite her young age of three months, reach the Med Bay where she knew her aunt Juliet was. Now, her only issue was getting on the bed.

"Y-you probably aren't supposed to be in here." She looked up at Casidy, who had taken to guarding Juliet. She held up her arms and Casidy sighed. "I'm going to get in trouble." She lifted the sparkling, setting her beside Juliet. The woman stilled slightly at the cooled frame of the tiny femme.

"Huh?" She groaned, looking over. Mary's hand was on her arm, cooling her slightly. "Mary. Your hands are cold." She joked a little, Mary grinning as she curled up against Juliet's side. She smiled down at the girl who, despite being Cybertronian, wore a small set of footie pajamas. She chuckled lightly and set her on her chest. Mary adjusted slightly and Juliet smiled a bit more.

"S-so that's Dean's baby?" She asked softly.

"Yes. Her name is Mary. Her brother is Silver. Who's, hopefully, still in the Rec Room." Casidy smiled down at Mary, who had fallen asleep.

"I should go check."

"Please do. And Casidy?" She paused in the doorway. "I don't blame you. Even thought every fiber of my vampire side is demanding I don't trust you. I know how hard it is to control the monster." The werewolf looked to her feet.

"You may not blame me. But I still blame myself." With that she left, making Juliet sigh. Mary looked up at her, an ice cold hand pressing to her neck.

"Thanks Mary. You don't know how much that helps." The little girl simply smiled.

-

Jenny hit the ground, wincing. She growled and forced herself to her feet. "Why can't I figure this out?!" She hissed.

"Jenny?" She turned quickly, grabbing her hoodie and tugging it on. She then moved back to the puzzle game across the room, starting it back up as Gabriel entered the room. "Jenny, is something wrong?" She shook her head, managing to keep him away from her back. He figured it to be the scars and simply knelt beside her.

"It's nothing. Just confused." She grimaced as she dropped the pieces, her fingers not used to holding those small objects. He smirked and sat behind her place on the floor, his legs to either side of her. He leaned carefully against her back, taking her hands. He missed her reddened cheeks as he guided her along, showing her how to handle the pieces without dropping them.

About an hour later Jenny was doing them easily on her own, Gabriel smiling at her enthusiasm. He felt something hit his chest and frowned. "Jenny?"

"Yeah?"

"What's pressed against my chest?" She stilled, the pressure fading away. "Jenny what aren't you telling me?" Her head sunk low and she stood.

"P-please don't freak out." She peeled off her hoodie and turned her gaze away, long hair hiding her face. Gabriel stood, marveling at what he saw.

"Jenny, are those wings?"

-

"Fuck!" Sam yelled, trying yet another password on Juliet's laptop. Nothing happened, bringing up the same useless hint.

'Sent me on a Highway to Hell' displayed itself so he tried anything and everything he could with Jason involved. Nothing worked and he was ready to give up. He suddenly saw Soundwave walking in and waved him over.

"Soundwave! I need your help. Please?" The mech glanced to him and walked over, Sam handing him the computer. He connected and had it unlocked seconds later. "What the hell was the password?"

"Answer: AC/DC24." Sam blinked in shock and sighed, settling in to read everything he could.

-

Silver was curled up on the bear that Galloway had given him, said man watching him closely as he worked. Bobby was also watching the sparkling, but he was deep into research with Ratchet and Wheeljack.

"Glitching piece of slag!" Ratchet snapped, shutting the book loud enough to rouse Silver from his sleep. Galloway, being the only one who noticed, rushed over and picked up the boy.

"It's okay Silver, go back to sleep." He cradled him and rocked himgently back and forth. "Shhh. Sleep." He whispered, the boy soon slipping into an easy recharge.

"Thanks Galloway." Dean muttered sleepily from the other end of the couch.

"No problem Dean." He passed Silver to him as he sat up. Dean smiled as he held his son, looking as proud as the day the two were born. The thought made Dean look around.

"Where's Mary?" Bobby looked over.

"Casidy said she's helping keep Juliet cooled down." He nodded and looked to them.

"Any luck?"

"Not a thing." Dean stood, hugging Silver to his chest.

"There has to be somethi-"

"Not exactly!" Bobby yelled. "Think about it boy! We're the first people to ever want to save a vampire." He didn't notice Jekyll behind him, staring in shock. Quickly he turned on his heel, aiming to go find Hyde.

They had a vampire to go kill.

-

Metallicar lashed out, silver blade slicing easily through the werewolf. She turned, red eyes catching Jason as he took out another. "Where is he?!" The man yelled.

"You'll not find him." A familiar voice called. Metallicar whipped around to see Juliet standing in front of them

"Jules?!" She stepped forwards and Jason threw her back, pinning her to the wall.

"That's not Juliet." He growled.

"Oooh. King of hell's little girlfriend is sick and dying." the siren cooed. Jason found it difficult to throw the siren against the wall, as it still held the form of his Juliet. She laughed bitterly as she hit the hard surface. "You'll never win! That vampiric bitch has been doomed to die since the day she was born! It's the Winchester curse!" Jason snarled.

"Enough!" He snapped, making the siren smirk. "Did you know that I, as the king of all hell, can kill pretty much anything on a whim?" He growled. Fear flashed in her eyes as he forced away the false guise, leaving it in it's true form. Metallicar grimaced.

"Please! I'll tell you where he is!" Jason stepped forwards.

"Where?" He snarled.

"N-new York, New York! He lives in Broadway!" It screamed in pain. "Now please, let me down!"

"Fine." He released the siren from the wall and it gasped in deep breaths of air, holding the form of a woman of such magnificent beauty that any normal man would stop and gawk over. Jason, however, remained impassive as he freed Metallicar.

"Th-thank you my king." She bowed her head to where it was nearly touching the ground.

"For what? I never said I'd spare you." He waved his hand, a scream echoing as the woman vanished. Metallicar transformed, allowing Jason into the passenger seat.

"Where to now?"

"Broadway." She chuckled a little at the old phrase and her engine roared to life.

"We make it there, we make it anywhere. More specifically. We make it to save Jules." He smirked a little.

"Let's see how fast an outdated model like you can go?" This made her grin.

"You're gonna regret saying that, friend." She flew out of the warehouse, flying past a sign.

'New York 700 Miles'

Alice lay sprawled out on the berth, Optimus beneath her. She knew they should be worrying about Juliet but everyone insisted they take a break together and relax. Which is exactly what Optimus helped her do.

She sat up, hissing at the feeling of cold air as she slipped off of his slumbering form. Standing, she padded to their personal bathroom. She reached the sink and stretched, her head suddenly swimming as she felt bile rise into her throat. She rushed to the toilet, barely managing to get her hair out of the way as she vomited.

A moment later she felt Optimus move her hand, taking her hair and tying it out of the way. Where and how he had learned it she made note to ask later. For now she was busy throwing up things she hadn't eaten since high school. Once she was done she grabbed a bit of toilet paper, wiping her mouth and standing, barely managing to press the handle to dispose of the waste.

"Alice, is something wrong?" She shook her head.

"I don't know. but will you hand me that box and wait in the other room please?" He grabbed the box, passing it to her.

"You can tell me Alice. I'm your sparkmate after all." She smiled faintly.

"It's not that. Just.... I feel like I need to do this alone. And then I'll tell you. I swear." He nodded and kissed her forehead. She stood as he left, taking out the packet and taking a deep breath.

After completing what needed done Alice decided to pass the time by brushing her teeth, getting rid of the horrid taste. She took her sweet time, terryfied of the results. She rinsed her mouth and brush before turning to the small strip. Pausing she grabbed one more, knowing that one didn't always tell the truth. After waiting a short time longer she turned, looking to the newest one. She picked it up and turned, throwing open the door after a second and rushing over to Optimus.

"Alice?" She hugged him, taking care not to hit any really sharp points before she backed up, holding out the test. "It is a small plus sign? What is it supposed to mean?" She bit her lip, nodding fiercly.

"Op. That means we're going to have our own little baby running around here soon." He paused, nearly dropping the test. He then picked her up, careful not to hurt her as he spun her around. He then lowered her, kissing her deeply.

"Sweetspark this is wonderful news." He smiled, kissing her yet again. "You have made me the happiest mech alive." She returned his kisses gladly before leaning back and pulling in air.

"I'm glad I have." She chuckled.

"No hunting."

"I know, I know. I had a feeling that's what you were going to say. There's just one other thing."

"What is it my spark?"

"We have to tell my dad." Optimus stilled with this. "And hope he doesn't have a shotgun."

"Agreed." He kissed her one more time before she leaned on his chest. "But for now let's get you back to sleep. And no more stress. It isn't good for the sparkling." She chuckled. As he was speaking he had scooped her up, taking her back to their berth and laying her down. "And Alice?"

"Yes Optimus?" His grin seemed to grow impossibly wider.

"I love you." She sat up and kissed him once more.

"I love you too."

Mary looked up at the familiar smell of spray paint, hoping to see her favorite artist. Instead she saw Jekyll and Hyde discarding the cans as the latter grabbed a jar. He poured it's contents around the red circle and hid behind the wall. Jekyll nodded and walked over.

Zasha, who was sitting by Juliet's feet, began to bark loudly, drawing the attention of both Crowley and Gabriel, who had already been coming to see her. They ran forwards, stepping in the door. Hyde lit a match and dropped it, the ring igniting. Mary stared in fear as the two looked to her, Zasha still barking. Still Mary remained calm.

"Move the kid." Jekyll growled, Hyde complying as he picked Mary up. She felt their malicious intent and sobbed, a shrill cry escaping her. A moment later Sierra rushed in.

"Step away from her!" She ran forwards, slamming into an invisible wall and swearing loudly as she hit the ground.

"Well, looks like a Devil's Trap stops Sierra." Hyde mused, Mary still crying.

"Useful." Jekyll mused. "I'm sorry Juliet. Nothing personal." He pulled a knife, holding it to her throat. He raised it and swung.

A blur of silver and gold impacted with his side, a hand lashing out and catching the blade. Jekyll looked up as Mary giggled and clapped, the object that had hit him resting by the bed. Metal wings of a pure silver unfurled, golden highlights catching the lights. The objects moved like silk as their bearer stood, the men's eyes widening.

Jenny glared at them, normally green eyes burning a bright blue. Gabriel stared at her ethereal form as she held up the blade, threatening Jekyll and Hyde as the second gently set Mary back down, grabbing a gun from his pocket. Jenny didn't seem to notice as he raised it.

"Now kid. We don't want any trouble." She remained silent, stepping closer to Jekyll as Hyde raised the gun.

"Jenny!" Gabriel yelled, making her turned and throw the silver knife at Hyde, the metal sinking into his shoulder and making him cry out in pain. Jekyll lunged at Jenny, who merely sidestepped, kneeing him in the side as he stopped beside her. He grabbed another knife from his boot upon his recovery, digging it into her wing.

Gabriel winced at Jenny's cry of pain, anger flaring in him as he looked to the fire. Sierra noticed his gaze and slammed her fist into her barrier around them. Anger flared in her as a strong heat swept over the room.

Jenny ignored their efforts to escape as she slapped Jekyll away with her wing, glancing to Hyde, who went to remove Juliet's head. His blade stopped mid-swing as Mary lay beside Juliet's neck, protecting her aunt. He backed up and dropped the blade. A sudden movement made him look up as Jekyll slammed into his side, making him stare up at Jenny in shock.

"Don't you ever touch my sister again."
