Chapter 5
The sound of glass shattering echoed through the night as a pelican-beaked man was thrown out of a window and into the bed of a nearby truck. Following close behind was Kakuzu holding a box in one hand and Izuku in the other. Landing on top of the truck, Kakuzu dropped Izuku on the pelican-beaked man, causing him to bounce up a bit before hitting his nose on a small toolbox in the truck bed.
"Why did you drop me?!" Izuku groaned in pain.
"It's your fault we're in a hurry now," Kakuzu replied, hopping off the cab and entering the truck, starting it, and tossing the box into the seat next to him.
"H-Hey! What about me?"
"You make sure he doesn't fall out. I'll focus on getting us out of here." Kakuzu stated, opening the small window behind him to speak with his student.
"W-What am I supposed to do?!"
"Hopefully nothing... now hold on to something," Kakuzu ordered, shifting the gear and flooring the gas pedal. Izuku quickly grabbed onto the window frame of the small truck window, trying to prevent himself from falling.
The truck sped forward through a fence, gaining a few feet of air before they started to fall.
Izuku's eyes widened in fear, screaming out as he saw the nose-dive they were taking onto the street below them.
"THAT'S A 30 FOOT FALL! I'M GONNA DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!" Izuku screamed at the top of his lungs. Kakuzu rolled his eyes as he extended his hand out the window and let his black threads begin to crawl out of his arm. With the threads was a beak mask with dark-blue markings. A few seconds later, a creature with four legs and wings formed next to Izuku.
The creature then appeared at the back of the truck, pushing down on it to level it out before it went under the truck, slowing their descent with what sounded like a large gust of wind. Blinking with disbelief, Izuku watched as his sensei placed his hand back on the wheel and started to drive off while the winged creature climbed into the bed, sitting down across from the green-haired boy, and stared. Izuku stared back, frightened at the lifeless yet alive creature.
"S-Sensei? W-What is that?" Izuku stuttered, pointing at the mass of threads
"*Sigh* It's a Thread Construct and we'll leave it at that. Now, do you see anybody tailing us?" Kakuzu stated.
Looking back at the street, Izuku shook his head as he replied: "No, sensei. I don't see anyon-"
"STOP RIGHT THERE!" a voice shouted from above them. Looking towards the sky, Izuku saw a man wearing a dark blue bodysuit with a wooden belt, wooden knee pads, and wooden shoes.
"IT'S KAMUI WOODS!" Izuku shouted in awe, his eyes expanding in wonder, "Ohmygodit'sKamuiWoods! I'mafanandit'sterriblethatMt.Ladystoleyourfamewhenthatgiantattacked!" he then began to mutter and run off on a tangent. But as he was still talking, Woods extended his hand as he was falling and screamed: "Lacquered Chain Prison!" shooting out branches and wood from his arm that began to wrap itself around the truck. The wood then crawled under the truck and jammed itself into the axles, bringing the vehicle to a screeching halt. Woods landed on top of the cab as he turned around to look down at Izuku and the kidnapped man, 'Hold on, where have I seen this kid before?' Woods thought as, from the truck cab, Kakuzu was going through hand signs.
The bird-masked construct of a thread opened its mouth with a crack as Kakuzu said: "Fūton: Atsugai!" and a concentrated twister of wind shot out of the construct's mouth, hitting Woods at point-blank and sending him flying into a building.
"Whoa!" Izuku was brought out of his trance of mumbling as the drive-side door was kicked off several dozen feet with Kakuzu stepping out, holding the box in his hand.
"W-why did you do that?!" Izuku asked, but Kakuzu sent him a glare
"Shut up boy and grab the bird-man. We're ditching the truck." Kakuzu ordered
"O-Okay." Izuku the bird-man over his shoulder and onto his back as he hopped out of the truck-bed and onto the street. The four-legged creature soon followed as it approached Kakuzu and started to fall apart, the black threads crawling up Kakuzu as it disappeared underneath his cloak.
"S-Sensei, what are we gonna do?"
"We continue on... but first," Kakuzu turned to the truck and went through hand signs. Another mask appeared next to his head, a demonic-looking tiger with red lips and red circles around the eyes.
(Best picture I could find)
"Katon: Zukokku!" Kakuzu said as the mask opened its mouth to spew a stream of fire at the truck, causing it to explode, sending Izuku into a panic.
"WHY DID YOU EXPLODE THE TRUCK?!"
"I've got my reasons, brat. Now start running towards the ocean. I'll make sure they don't know where we're going." The mask went back under the cloak. Going through hand signs again, Kakzu knelt down and slammed his hand on the ground, making it begin to ripple and bounce. Out of the asphalt came out several figures, each one slowly becoming more and more human as Kakuzu finished, saying: "Doton: Kage Bunshin." just as the giant clubs of asphalt gained color and formed to become a bunch of Kakuzu's and Izuku's.
"Cool!" Izuku said in amazement with stars in his eyes. But just as he said those words, they all started running in random directions. "Where are they going?"
"Anywhere but here," Kakuzu answered, hitting him on the back of the head, "now you start running too!"
"Yes, sensei!" Izuku cried out, following Kakuzu off the road and onto a nearby building, jumping from roof-top to roof-top. But Kakuzu was going slow, making sure that Izuku could keep up... and so that he didn't drop the hostage.
'Who knew that I would see the Wood Style here?' Kakuzu thought, jumping with his student, 'I need to be more careful. Fighting that guy directly could be dangerous without knowing everything about him. But more importantly, if I were to fight him-' Kakuzu turned his head towards his student, '-I need to be alone.'
Meanwhile:
"GOD-DAMNIT DEKU! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Katsuki screamed in frustration, explosions shooting out into the air from his hands
"DON'T USE YOUR QUIRK IN PUBLIC!" Mitsuki struck her son over the head, making the blond boy stop
"YOU FUCKING BITCH!"
"SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH!" She then slapped her son, leaving a red mark on his cheek.
"STOP HITTING ME, HAG!"
"I'LL STOP HITTING YOU WHEN WE FIND IZUKU!" Mitsuki shouted, forming a fist. As they argued, they started to hear the sound of footsteps when they were both suddenly pushed away from each other, falling to the ground.
"HEY! WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING ASSHOLE!" Mitsuki and Katsuki screamed. But before they continued shouting, they both saw the green-haired mop on top of the person's head.
"Deku?" Katsuki asked, quickly getting up to grab the person's arm, "Hey! Stop!"
Katsuki managed to grab the person's arm, stopping them from running. They turned their head to face Katsuki, the ladder's eyes widened in surprise when they saw who it was.
"D-Deku?" Katsuki questioned.
"Izuku?" Mitsuki asked, getting up as she ran towards the boy.
"Where the hell have you been?!" Katsuki screamed as he went to punch him. But he stopped when he saw that Izuku's face began to crack. Releasing him from his hold, Katsuki took a few steps back as Izuku's face fell apart, slowly crumbling away as both Katsuki and his mother stared in shock. When they managed to pull themselves together and act, all that was left was a pile of asphalt.
"W-What the hell?" Katsuki stood there, eyes wide at the pile in front of him.
"This isn't good," Mitsuki stated, putting a hand on Katsuki's shoulder.
[Alright, been a while since I last updated this story and sorry if it's not all that good. Been working on other things and someone sent a DM to continue it and I thought 'why not?'. So hope you enjoyed and sorry if it was scattered]
