Charlie woke up to the smell of fresh air and the sweet smell of pancakes with a faint scent of blueberries. She slowly opened her eyes and saw her maid, Meido, looking at her.
"Good Morning Charlotte-Chan! I have given Eros his food, and I have prepared your favorite breakfast!~" Meido always spoke like that, as if she was in some sort of dubbed anime, then again, it was Charlie's fault for introducing her to anime in the first place.
Charlie nodded, "Alright, I'll come down in just a moment, just let me get dressed." Immediately, Meido jumped back embarrassed like an anime male protagonist and quickly apologized as she rushed out of her room.
Charlie slowly got out of bed and walked slowly to the closet. She picked out a loose, red, crop-top tee with some ripped jeans.
She walked downstairs to the dining room, mostly all the lights were off because the natural light would fill the room instead. She began to eat her beloved pancakes. She could hear the sound of a bell and the name tag on Eros's collar hitting his food bowl as he ate. Her mind began to go back
about her father's grand amount of money and how they still attempt to save money by using natural light instead of electricity lights.
Her father was a very successful financial advisor, and her father would always come home with his pay, though most of their money came from Charlie's grandfather when he died in the Great War. Sometimes her father would ask her why she isn't wearing any of the clothes that he would buy, she just told him that she liked to blend in. Plus it would gain her some unwanted attention at school.
Charlie almost choked on her pancake when she remembered school. Charlie checked her phone and it said- "IT'S 7:15! MEIDO! WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME SOONER?! SCHOOL STARTS IN FIFTEEN MINUTES."
Meido profusely apologized again while Charlie furiously packed her bag. "I'm so sorry Charlotte-Chan! It will never happen again I promise!"
Charlie was just about to run out when Meido screamed after her saying, "Wait! But you have to eat something! Or you'll be hungry all day!" Charlie groaned and grabbed a piece of toast and put it in her mouth and sped out the door.
"Goodbye Charlotte-Chan!" Charlie yelled back a muffled "Bye!" and flew off into the sky towards her school.
Meido went back inside and sighed and slumped down at the door. Charlie's cat, Eros, sat next to her on the cold and hard marble. Eros purred and nudged Meido to get up again. "Oh-ok. Guess I should go get Master up for work-WAIT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AT WORK AN HOUR AGO! AHHHHHH!"
