Surprise?
Elise's POV
After the rest of that horrible garden party was over I admit I may have been a little tipsy...ok yeah I was drunk but not as bad as my sister. She was practically throwing herself at any willing man and needless to say my sister was hot and no man would push her away. Sad part is I think she knew that and she used it to her advantage. Rolling my eyes I felt Errol start to lead me inside. Knowing that the only thing I wanted to do right now was shower and sleep.
"You sure you don't need me to carry you? I didn't think ya had that much to drink." hear Errol tell me but I just shrug.
I didn't know what to think, even I knew I didn't have enough to drink to make me drunk but I just felt strange now. Errol doesn't say anything else and he picks me up and carries me in his arms. My eyes close more or less against my will. All I wanted to do now was sleep but I didn't want to sleep in this dress I knew that for sure.
"Hey, we're in the room. I think you might wanna get out of that dress." I hear Errol's voice pulls me out of my dream like state.
Gently he puts me down on the ground and I nod at him. I carefully make my way to the bathroom. At this time though it seems like the floor is against me. I stagger to keep myself steady as I feel a pair of arms come around my side and steady me.
"Elise, something is wrong. I don't think ya are drunk." he tells me and I can tell his tone is a but panicked.
Before I can say anything else though my legs decide to give out on me and Errol is my main support now. I try to pick myself up but it's useless I swear it is like my legs are Jello. Errol keeps telling me something is wrong as if I hadn't figured that one out of my own.
"I just want to lay down, I need to clear my head." I tell him trying to have some authority in my voice.
"Your dress, it's too tight for you to sleep in." he tells me.
"Then just get it off, I'll sleep in one of your shirts or something." I tell him not wanting to do anything else but just sleep at this moment.
Errol puts my back against his chest as I feel him start moving around, after a few minutes of that I can feel the zipper of my bag start to become unzipped and Errol buried his head in my hair as I feel him push my arms out of the sleeves well what little of sleeves this dress had. Then I feel a soft cotton like texture come over them. My body doesn't really care what is going on as it decides to give out all together now.
The next morning I wake up to the banging of my door yet again. Oh whoever it is I am going to kill and no one will be able to stop me. Highlander or not. Just as I am about to get up and do something about it I feel the arms around my waist tighten.
"GO THE HELL AWAY!" Errol yells out to whoever is behind the door at this point not caring if he offends anyone.
I couldn't tell if he was angry or just tired of people banging on the door when we were trying to sleep. That was a common occurrence around here. Today I did feel a lot better as I turned to look at Errol I also looked down to see I was dressed in his shirt from last night. Yes that meant that he was topless which wasn't a sight I minded seeing even first thing in the morning.
"Don't get mad, I didn't do nothin to ya. You scared me though when ya passed out." Errol's voice makes me look at his face instead of his chest.
"I didn't even drink that much, I honestly don't even remember what happened." I tell him honestly.
"I think yer drink may have been spiked by a certain jealous she-devil." Errol tells me as he adjusts himself to lean his head and body weight on his left arm.
Amanda, oh that woman. I swear I am going to get her back for this if she is the one that did it. Just as I begin to say something to Errol that darn banging begins again and Errol has had his full. He get out of the bed and goes right to the door quickly opening it to see Amanda and my sister standing there now also looking a bit scared by the way he answered the door.
"Do ya not get the hint when yer not wanted? What could possibly be so important?!" Errol demands as he leans against the door.
"I am here for my sister, you don't have to be a jerk this month is about me not her." My sister says as she looks to Amanda for support and of course Amanda nods at her.
"Well your sister is my fiancée and I think I am entitled to time with her as well. Now unless it is a life of death circumstance I suggest you just go along with whatever you were doin so maybe I can spend sometime with my future wife." Errol says as he slams the door in their faces.
A part of me can't help but be turned on by what I just witnessed. No one had ever stood up to my sister like that and as a double bonus Amanda was there too and he slammed the door in both of their faces. Standing I walk right up to Errol and before he has the chance to talk I grab him and kiss him with as much passion as I can muster.
"No one has ever done something like that for me. Thank you." I tell him as I look up at him.
"Get use to it, I don't plan on lettin her take you away from me." he tells me as he wraps him arms around me.
That afternoon after Errol and I talked as well as other things, we were walking downstairs into the main dinning area which was now being decorated by my grandmother and sister but Amanda was no where in sight.
"There you are. Errol my granddaughter said you had the nerve to yell at her is that true?" Grandma asks him.
As if right on cue Grandpa walks into the room. "Well that's what happens when Errol and Elise can't get a moment together alone. Every time I turn around its go get Elise for this or that and to be honest I am proud to know he can be there to defend her if the need be." Grandpa says as he looks to Errol.
"I don't see why he had to slam the door in my face." My sister asks giving me the death stare.
"I don't see why you had to bang on our door at 8:30 in the morning, just cause you fiancée isn't here doesn't mean that other people aren't busy with theirs." Errol says as he holds me close to him.
"My sister first pal."
Actually if what he says is correct I was actually his wife first. A part of me really wanted to laugh about that little unknown fact to her. Errol just kept me close to him as the doors opened behind us. Turning around I saw my sister's fiancée Dave who just happened to turn up early. Probably to surprise her. Dave walked past Errol and I and went right to Bri and kissed her right on the lips. Rolling my eyes I looked up to Errol who looked as if he had just seen a ghost.
"Errol? What's the matter?" I ask him as I try to get his attention.
"Elise, we need to leave. Just to talk for a minute." he tells me as he pulls me out of the room.
