He always loved his mother and sister but they both died

When he was nine years of age, his mother died of a sickness they were too poor to cure.

When he was twelve, his sister died too. She was only two and fell asleep on the lounge chair while their dad was drunk. He sat on her and was out cold from the alcohol. Of course she couldn't get out and suffocated.

Pride ended up killing his dad when he was sixteen as he was an abuser. His dad died by getting axed to the head.

(He reminds me a lot of Belos and the golden guard from The Owl House.

Belos because he's a skilled magic user, is in charge, has an edgy animal mask and wears big robes. Also in bad health.

The golden guard because he's an edgy abuse victim who gets powerless if lost something specific. Also when he doesn't have what hides his face or isn't the figure in charge, he acts all frustrated and angsty. But when in charge or with what hides his face, he acts like a dramatic, sassy bitch.)
