Chapter 5
The next day it was pouring down with rain, so Nyoria told her son to stay inside, as the rain was pouring down the outside of the house looks like a pond. "Mom how are we going to practice my posture and walk while it's raining?" The boy asked.
"Well we'll have to do what we can in here today. Come from the window. . . We only have one book but it will have to do!" Nyoria said smiling.
He nodded his head and walked over to his mother and stood up straight, Nyoria put the book on his head and told him to stand up straight. When he did he moved to the other side of the room and back. "Nope do it again, you slouched a bit while walking back." Nyoria said to her son.
He sighed and stood up straight again while walking to the window again, and then walking back. This time he done if perfectly, his mother was happy with how he was acting even after a few days of training. The boy didn't go work and just stayed at home his eyes now his normal pink colour and they even let his hair stay black.
"Mom. . . Do you really think they'll accept me?" The boy asked Nyoria once again.
"No need to worry, they'll have too and to make sure how about you keep your hair black too. That way it will be less hassle for you and they'll see the resemblance straight away." His mother explained.
He nodded his head and carried on practicing. "Mom why do I have to do this anyway?" He asked still walking standing up straight.
"So then they definitely can deny you if you can do all this. Even if you are an illegitimate child, the rules say that if you are the only son in the family you are entitled to the estate no questions asked." Nyoria spoke.
"Plus it will be funny when seeing the countess' face when she sees he have indeed go a son just not with her." The boy said laughing some.
Nyoria couldn't help but laugh at her son's words. She got up and got dressed ready for work. "Okay I have to go to work, try reading. I know you can already but still keep practicing that. If you can read better then them it would be perfect." Nyoria said smiling at her son. She kissed his head and walked out the door going to the estate.
Nyoria's POV
I walked out the door closing it after me and made my way to the estate, as I walked in I saw Clayton. I smiled as he was just the person I wanted to see right now. "Hey Clayton wait a minute!" I said.
He stopped and looked behind him looking at me as I walked a bit faster to him. He was carrying papers with all the preparations on them. "I got a question, say an illegitimate child came forward and he was a boy does that mean he'll be the heir?" I asked him.
Clayton looked at me, raised his eyebrow as he did, he looked confused as I asked him that. "Yes, if there is such a child then he would be heir because he's the only boy in the family. . . Why? Do you know of one?" Clayton asked me.
"No I don't I was just curious, I heard your conversation with the count. That must have been hard for you clay." I said to him.
"You have no idea. . Just between you and me Lady Nyoria. . . I don't even like Lady Isabella she's so violent and obnoxious. She wouldn't make a good heir. . So I hope someone does step forward and I hope they at least are a decent person." Clayton admitted to me.
I smiled at him. Clayton was always the one person that you can rely on, she doesn't really like the current count or any of his family. They always treat him badly but a job is a job. I respect him for always keeping a level head while he's working even when they try and push his boundaries. "Hey Clayton another question for you. . . What be a good a name for a boy?" I asked him.
Clayton looked at me again and this time it was more suspicious. "Are you pregnant my lady?" Clayton asked me.
I just gave him a small laugh and shook my head at him. "No, no. Don't be silly. I just have a distant relative that happened to give birth to a boy but she's having a hard time coming up with a name." I explained to him.
"A name for a boy huh. ."
That's when Clayton out the papers down in the study room and say down, I walked in with him and looked at him. A smile on my face as he was thinking of it as he was working through the documents too.
"How about. . . Altan it's means red Dawn." Clayton spoke up, I smiled as he said that name I liked is so much.
Altan.
