It wasn't long later they all agreed that Alton and the two others was going to make their way home. However, while they was on the road a storm started to happen. Heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. As his advanced hearing, Cody covered his ears and looked like he was in so much pain.

"Tch. . Why does something happen whenever we are on the road?!" Alton asked no one in particular.

Lloyd started to comfort Cody trying to help him with the pain. However it wasn't working much and it would only get more worse. This was when the carriage stopped moving. Alton opened the door a bit, with a confused look on his face. "why did you stop?" Alton asked the driver.

"The rain sir! It's made the road muddy we can't move any further." The driver said back.

Alton started to look around the place trying to find something that would help but to no such luck as there was nothing around. Because of the rain getting more and more heavier Alton having to raise his voice to make sure that the driver could hear him. "Why don't you come on in here out of the rain!" Alton shouted out.

"What?! I can't do that my lord!" He shouted back.

"You'll catch a cold if you stay out there!" Alton shouted back.

"But my lord I ain't allowed in the carriage with you or the others!" He retorted.

"Get in here now!"

With them both going back and forth arguing the driver of the carriage finally gave in and joined Alton, Lloyd and Cody in the carriage. He sat down next to Alton and opposite Lloyd.

"Sir I really ain't suppose to be in here with you. . ." The driver said.

"No one will know, and anyway I ain't letting you get sick so we have no choice but to wait this storm out. You will be more warmer and comforter in here. It's just ashame we can't help the horses. . they'll have to just use to trees. ." Alton said.

The driver gave a small smile and nodded his head while looking at Cody, he got up and reached his arms out either side of Cody's head, hands glowing green. It only took a few seconds for Cody to be feeling okay. He looked at the driver and gave a small smile. "Thank you. . ." He said to him.

The driver nodded his head this was when he noticed all of them was surprised and shocked at the action he just done. This is when the driver took this as his qué to start explaining.

"I come from a family of medical Mages. . what I done just know was I healed his ears and put a magic spell on them that any loud noises will automatically turn to a regular volume for him." The driver said.

"Medical magic. . . That's a rare type of magic to have. . why you only a driver?" Alton asked him.

This was when the driver gave a saddened smile to Alton's question. "I tried to tell viscount and the viscountess but they only judged me on my clothes, and made me be the driver. . . Before you came my lord I was the driver for the young ladies, they would just beat me for going too slow or going too fast, talking too them or not talking to them. . . That's why when I first drove for you and you said "thank you" too me I was so happy." The driver said.

Alton looked at the driver who only looked to be around 26 years old most. "what's your name?" Alton asked him.

The driver looked at him with shock, and surprised at the fact he asked that. "M-My name?" The driver asked.

Alton nodded his head with a smile on his face. "so I don't have to say driver all the time. I can call you by your name." Alton said to him.

"My name is Cosmo Alter sir!" The guy said with a happy expression on his face.

"Cosmo? That's so fitting. Especially with your black and dark blue hair with white scattered around it making it look like a starry night and your eyes looking like a galaxy. Your name really is fitting." Alton said smiling.

That made Cosmo give a huge smile. Nodding his head. "I promise you when I get the estate, I'll give you a job inside the estate who knows maybe as my medic." Alton said.

Cosmo gave a huge smile he was told that by someone, he was happy to be able to have a job inside the estate instead of only being allowed near it. "thank you sir, but if still like to take you places too. When you go somewhere you never been your face lights up like your having something for Christmas." Cosmo said to them while laughing some.

Lloyd and Cody started to think about it and they could remember Alton doing that all the time too, they started to laugh as well. "that's so true! I never noticed before." Cody said laughing as well.

"Hey! You laughing at me?!" Alton asked them all.

They all started to laugh even more and that's when Lloyd looked at Alton. "That's so cute!" Lloyd stated.

Alton rolled his eyes playfully at them all and that's when Lloyd and Cody gave Alton a hug Alton not moving and not pushing them back, Meanwhile Cosmo was there watching them hug eachother with a smile on his face. That's when Lloyd made Cosmo join in with the hug, smiling at him. "your our friend too so you can join in too!" Lloyd said to him.

Cosmo gave a shocked but happy expression after seeing Cody nodding his head as well. That's when Cosmo hugged Alton too, still having a smile on his face. Alton once again didn't move them away or make them let go. He sighed while having a smile on his face.

I guess I made one more friend today.
