Chapter 4
The next day when the sun arose from it's slumber there was someone shouting outside. Nyoria and her son woke up, got dressed and washed their face. Luckily after all that they managed to get outside in time.
Nyoria stopped the boy smiling at him. "What's up little one?" She asked the boy.
The boy looked at her and smiled as she asked him that. "well you see miss, the count is preparing for the ceremony to announce his heir! He's going to let the whole kingdom go there as it's a huge celebration!" The boy spoke up to them.
Nyoria let the boy run off and had a huge smile on her face. This was the chance she was waiting for, the chance to get her boy a better life. She turned to her son and made him go into the house. "Listen to me sweetheart! I'm going to tell you everything okay?" She said.
This made the boy confused. As his mother was preparing to tell him he was trying to figure out what she ment. "I know you never met the count that's why it was easy for me to tell you, your father left. However that's not true." She said.
"What do you mean mom?" He asked her.
She looked at him frowning some but smiling at the same time. "Listen honey. You are the Illegitimate child of count Cornelius Von-Lowther. Your black hair and pink eyes are proof of that." She explained.
This stunned the boy as he heard that, he didn't want to believe that was true because of the rumours that everyone was saying about the count. "N-No. . That can't be right. . mom. ." The boy said as he was tearing up some.
His mother wiped his eyes and smiled at him. "I'm sorry, but it is true. The count got me pregnant and nine months later you was born. I'm sorry I couldn't come up with a name for you. . I couldn't find any that fitted a miracle such as you. But you are the only son of Cornelius Von-Lowther. But I have an idea on how this all can stop and you can have a better life!" Nyoria said to her son.
"W-what-? What do you mean?" He asked her.
"Look, the ceremony that everyone will be at, the count or his family can't deny you if you walk into that saying your his son. Let the substance of your eyes leave you don't have to apply it that day. Pink eyes will be enough to convince them, but they ask if your telling the truth then you can tell them your hair is dyed." Nyoria spoke up.
Her son looking at her confused and shocked at the words he is hearing from his mother. "mom what about you?" He asked her.
"Well. . . If they find out I'm the one that hid you from him, I'll probably be punished for it. So I might not be able to see you become the heir of the estate. But I know you'll do fine. Your a gentle, kind, living boy that cares for the people here. You'll be safe as long as you get known as the heir." Nyoria told her son.
"But. . But mom. ." The boy said. "I don't want to leave you behind. All I got is you, your my only family. Even if the count knew I was his son he'd treat me badly. . An illegitimate child can't live in this world. They are looked down on all the time. . So I can't leave you mom!" He said to her.
His mother smiled as he said that to her, she hugged him and started to cry. But they both decided to go with the plan. Nyoria told him everything he needed to know. She even started to teach him how to act in front of the count and his family. So they wouldn't pick anything negative about him to bully him at.
"Mom is this even going to work?" He asked her.
"Yes of course! Next we will be practicing dancing okay?" Nyoria asked her son.
"Dancing?" He asked.
"Yes you'll need to learn how to dance properly, the count normally have balls and dances if your there in the house you'll be expected to dance." Nyoria explained.
"Ugh but mom!" He said.
"Ah, ah! Don't raise your voice and don't use 'ugh'." Nyoria said, sternly.
The boy started to dance with his mother, occasionally stepping in her shoes, he was sighing each time. But kept at it. Eventually he managed to dance properly like he was raised in the counts estate all along. "my handsome boy is smart too! Your learning all this so fast!" She told him with a huge smile on her face.
The ball wasn't for a week so they had plenty of time to learn everything he needed to learn and practice as much as possible too. He wanted to get everything done so his mother would be proud of him.
He would even practice when his mother was at work.
