Not always
"So, where to next?" I asked. Honey still wouldn't talk to me so I kept my distance. I understood that I was different now but he had no problem when I looked like an idol. "School." Shizu mumbled. "Okay. Let's go." I grabbed her hand and walked across the red brick road to the café I work in. "Mimi?" A small girl came around the corner. "I'm coming!" Mimi was my boss's daughter and very short-tempered. She had caramel brown hair and
olive-green eyes. She was skinny and about 4'9. She reminded me of Honey and I almost laughed every time I saw her. "Hey Squirt!" I smirk and ruffle her hair. "Hi Karachi..." She sighs. "Where's your mom at?" Her eyes widen and she stares at Shizu with her mouth in the shape of a small 'O'. "Is she your girlfriend?" She hopped up and down clapping but before Shizu could say anything, Mimi dragged her into the back room. I held a hand to my face and shook my head. "I'll apologize later!!!" She swung her head around, "Apology - Hey!" Mimi swung her arms around Shizu's waist and pulled her back in. I smiled but didn't let myself laugh because I knew the twins wouldn't help me. They barely talk to me now that they know what I really look like. I really didn't blame them but at the same time - I was mad. Mad that they didn't trust me or mad at myself I didn't know. The twins gave me a look and Kaoru started to move to help but Hikaru tugged on the sleeve of his uniform. "Not yet." Kaoru said. I scowled but nodded anyways and opened the office door at the end of the hallway. I knew better than to knock because then I would see her when she wasn't ready and I didn't want that. Usually that meant she was singing. The doors were sound proof but I wasn't going to risk it. She wasn't exactly American Idol material. (In other words... She sings like the goat on the Geico commercial) I turned the doorknob and heard music booming from the surround sound speakers I installed. The sound stopped right after because she always checked the door. I motioned for the others to follow and slipped quietly into the large office space that was never used for actual office work. It was used as a stage for the concerts that would never be a reality. I'd always felt bad for the woman but was never able to do anything for her but humor the fantasy. "Oh! You brought friends. How nice..." She said in a sing-song voice. "Yeah, hey Ms.Ryukami." I tilted my head and offered her a one-eyed smile. "You wouldn't mind if my friends and I bunked here would you?"
