3. Seeing.

As I said before, this story is slightly inspired, so I know about Naveen's character a little, enough to develop more but Navya,  I know nothing... It's beyond me, how someone can adjust so much.. So I borrowed one of my readers, NanditaIyengar2 's personality... Which she kindly allowed after answering thousands of question patiently.... Thank you... And Sorry if this story makes you sad.. Because of all That Navya goes through and she would be so much like you...

Naitik's POV.

"Typical." Grandma said smiling and Grandpa nodded.

Naveen's mother's eyes widened as she saw the number of dishes displayed in front of them in the mini table in the modest 1 bedroom house of  Navya's Parents. "Sohamji, see, I said na her culinary skills would leave even top chefs behind." she whispered to her husband as they settled in the sofa. His father nodded and the proud parents of Navya, beamed at the compliment. Silently Naveen rolled his eyes. Nevertheless, he was also as excited as them and couldn't deny the fact that indeed, she could make an awesome chef. After the formal talking and praising of the culinary skills of Navya,  finally to Naveen's delight they asked her to bring tea. He expected a shy girl,  though he knew that she was well educated and in an enviable job,  but these kind of set ups promoted such behavior... He saw anything but that. She came smiling, with tea cups in her hand. She was wearing a simple blue Saree, looking beautiful and confident. She placed the tea cups, in the table and bent and touched his parents feet. He couldn't help but admire, how beautiful she was, more beautiful than the picture he saw.

Grandpa laughed a bit, "I was smitten." he said with a smile. I also smiled a little seeing Grandma blush. It was kind of cute... But so typical. I turned to Grandma,  to hear how this incident seemed from her point of view.

Navya was making orange tea, as that was one of her speciality though she would prefer saffron to it. Anyway, she made it and was wondering why she has to make the so called 'late entry'. But she waited for her mom, to call her. Once, she did, a little excitement pounded in her heart. How will he be? She had not even seen his photo, because well her mother didn't have. But she was told he was very tall and handsome. He was well educated. He will not object her, supporting her parents as a only daughter. He was just 3 years older. And he also had an amazing career over which her Dad was already smitten. If it was a yes from him, it would also he a yes from her, but still her heart beat quickened. She took a deep breath put a smile on her face and moved ahead, she kept the tea in the table, took blessings, served them. And when finally, she served him,  she noticed that he was indeed incredibly good looking.

I let out a chuckle, "At least you both liked each other." they nodded. "But Marriage was a big thing." he said taking Grandma's left hand in his right and then kept his left over it, "I was not ready, just yet, but your great Grandparents from both side were very desperate." he let out a chuckle and I could see a smirk playing in Grandma's lips.

"Navya, why are you standing, come sit beside me." Ahayla, Naveen's Mom called her. She hesitated for a moment but sat beside her anyway. Ahalya was on left of her and Naveen on right, though there was still space between them, but she couldn't help feeling incredibly shy. She was not habituated to be sitting beside a man. She had maintained her distance with boys all her life. As she was talking or say answering Ahayla's questions and occasionally Soham's her nervousness didn't seemed to reduce. "We like her so much. We should get them engaged very soon." Soham announced, to which Ahalya nodded and Navya's parents couldn't stop beaming with joy, "Of course, we should get them married very soon. Only then will we have grand children." It was Navya's Mom, she said something very embarrassing. But they didn't seemed to mind,  except for Navya's cheeks, the were set on fire and a very mad Naveen as he only agreed to meet not marry. Though she was beautiful, he just wasn't ready for marriage. But their parents just didn't seemed to understand. "They are a perfect match." Ahayla said pushing Navya a little towards her Son. The situation couldn't have gotten worse. And as Naveen was about to explode, he witnessed a very red face of Navya, it sort of made him think that the situation was actually funny and she was cute. He forgot that he was supposed to be angry. He just started smirking. "Their names also match Naveen and Navya, both meaning new. And they are even wearing the same colour clothes. Beautiful they are, just Ideal for each other." she added, for which she got agreeing nods from the rest in the room. After an erring silence, Naveen asked, "Hmm... Can I talk alone with her?" Her parents nodded, "Navya, beti, take him to the Temple nearby." her father was the one this time. She nodded and they both left the place with the promise to return in an hour. Navya was glad to get out from there and so was Naveen.

"Grandpa, that would have been so embarrassing.. " I said perplexed. Talking about children on the first meeting, so pressuring even. He nodded a bit with smile, "It was but, your Grandma..." he said caressing her hand, never leaving it, "Like now... Even then was too embarrassed.... Even from my side, she only got embarrassed... So, I also sort of enjoyed the situation." he said laughing, I joined. That could very much be the case. "So, how did it feel to finally be let alone?" I asked and they just smiled, knowingly.
