Ripclaw POV

"How about... Ripclaw!"

"Ripclaw?"

"Yep! Symbolizes me in many ways. Sounds cool, deadly and menacing! All of my top qualities."

"Well then, Ripclaw, I just came to say good night. Sleep tight."

"Ok. G'night."

No POV

Ripclaw is now soundly sleeping, having a hard time figuring out how a blanket works. But he managed to understand the basics after unwrapping himself from the ceiling.

He snarls suddenly in his sleep, before quieting down. Suddenly, his door quietly swings open. A woman steps into the room, quietly closing it behind her. She steps silently towards her target. She stops at his bedside and raises her scythe like arms with an emotionless expression.

She brings them down. But not before Ripclaw eyes snap open.

He leaps back, avoiding the things that, if he were a normal human, killed him. He jumps into the air, before sinking his claws in the rafters and crawling into darkness. He listens, trying to find out who had just attacked him.
Suddenly, he hears a creak, and he whirls around to catch a scythe blade in his teeth.

He snarls as he pulls against the weapon. The woman pulls her arm back trying to get her weapon free. He suddenly lets go, making the mantis girl lose her balance. She falls to the floor, and he jumps towards the exit and tears the door from its hinges.

"Shit! Gotta apologize to Sasha later."

He races down the hall, running as fast as he can. He isn't usually one to back down from a fight, but he was taken by surprise and needed to get away so he could calm his nerves. This is the first time he had ever felt like he was going to die. He whirls around the corner, only to be met face to face with another woman.

She has scales and a tail, but her feet are more like a sauropod. He leaps over her, but she grabs his foot last second, and he falls to the floor. He kicks, and connects with her stomach. She yells in pain, and he scrambles to his feet. He whirls around to retaliate, only to see that her partner, the mantis girl has caught up to him, and is now standing next to her companion.

"Who in Hammond's name are you?!"

The mantis girl responded in a monotone expression.

"We are here to capture you. Mistress heard from someone that a strange Mamono had arrived at the castle, and that he was male. We found you. Come with us, or we will take you by force."

"The last people who tried to take me by force or control me are... in a better place."

The lizard girl frowned.

"They died?"

"Nope. I killed them. Tell your mistress that if she wants me, she'll have to come and get me, and she won't get away without a few slashes in her pretty little face. As well as you."

The lizard girl gulps, but the mantis remains expressionless. She suddenly charges forward. Ripclaw grins, before scales once again cover his human areas.

When the mantis reaches Ripclaw, her scythes are caught in the jaws of a beast unrecognizable to the entire world. The beast swung her around, before releasing her and sending her upwards. As she came back down, he swung his tail, smacking into her stomach and sending her flying into a wall. Her impact sends cracks through it, and the mantis falls to the floor, unconscious. Ripclaw turns towards the lizard girl, and roars.

The lizard girl draws her sword, and swing her sword at the beasts neck. To her shock and horror, it bounces off. Ripclaw stands over her, in a somewhat haughty manner, before head butting the woman. She flys backwards into the same wall as her companion. She falls on top of her companion and passes out. Ripclaw roars again, and walks toward them.

Nudging them with his snout, to make sure they're knocked out. Then he climbs up into the rafters and lowers down one of the chandeliers, and takes the chain suspending it. He wraps it around the two, before picking up a stick from the massive blazing fireplace. He then brings it back, and presses the blazing log against the chains, welding them together. Then he lies down and waits for dawn.
