In the woods looking for the beast then Malia came and scared Artemis.

"Never sneak up on a girl with a bow and arrow," Said Artemis, "Scott said that I should help you find the best," said Malia "well you can tell him that I'm fine now go back to your alpha" then Artemis walked away.

Later in the woods, Artemis saw the beast eating someone so she carefully sneaks up on it. When the beast was eating Artemis raised her bow with a silver arrowhead and shot it. Once it hit the beast it ran at Artemis and attacked her she thought that she was going to die but she didn't instead the beast took its claws and put it into the back of her head to see her memories.
