Chapter 7: Act normal...

A week had past since you had fought at the airport. Steve had got away. Half of the avengers were in prison... or so you thought. You had organised to see Clint and your friends like you did twice already this week. They had all forgiven you. (And just to make sure, you brought them some cake and other things when you went). You walked into the secret prison.

Something wasn't right... you walked through the doors to find all of the security guards passed out on the ground!

"What the-" you felt someone behind you... You whipped your head around to see the one and only Steve Rogers. Behind him was the rest of them. He was going to break them out.

"Y/n... we don't want to fight you... we really don't." Steve expression was soft. "We need to get out of here..." He looked at you.

You ran up to him. He didn't see it coming. You hugged him tight. "Keep in touch... please." You completely understood what he needed to do.

"Thank you y/n." Steve hugged you back. "I will... now you might wanna get out of here before someone finds out what just happened..." He smiled at you.

Before you left, you went around and hugged everyone for the last time. Even the Ant Man guy. Who when he saw you said, "You're pretty amazing kid."

He seemed nice. It was a shame that you... you know sort of shot a million arrows at him at once and sort of sent him flying... good memories.

"See ya 'round kid." Clint hugged you tight and whispered in your ear, "I'll keep in touch. I will send you letters from a guy called 'John Archer'. That will be me..."

"Ok..." You giggled at the fairly obvious name.

You then walked back and took the helicopter back home.

What to tell your dad... You would tell him that when you got there all of the guards were down. You looked around but couldn't find any traces. Oh no what a horrible plot twist.

2 Weeks Later

- - - - - - - -

"Miss y/n, your father wishes to talk you to down stairs." F.R.I.D.A.Y. informed you. You were currently in your room listening to music.

"Ok thanks Fri." You got up and went downstairs to meet your dad. "Sup dad. How you doin'." You casually sat next to your dad.

"Hydrogen, helium, H2O, oxygen, carbon dioxide and a little percentage of acid. Also I am well thank you." You dad laughed at his own humour. Wooooow. I asked what's up and he literally states the components that make up Earth's atmosphere.

"Wow. Nice going dad." You rolled your eyes. "So what did you want to talk about?"

There was a pause. You looked at your dad gesturing him to tell you want he was thinking. He gulped before telling you.

"I would like to send you to a school at Queens." Queens? As in New York? Why!? You hate modern teens.

"Wait. What! Why are you sending me to a school with normal teenagers?" You were so confused. As far as the rest of the world knew y/n Stark didn't even exist. There wasn't even any record of y/n l/n.

"Because I need you to keep an eye on Peter." He clarified. "He is doing ok as Spider-Man, but if he gets into actual trouble with the wrong people there will be a problem. So you can be Hunter and keep an eye on Peter. Ok?"

You just raised an eyebrow at him before saying. "Fine." You were going to regret this. "Great. Now I gotta surround myself with the messed up and overrated breed of humanity known as teenagers. Yaaaaaay."

Your dad just laughed at this.

"It's not gonna be that bad." You dad said childishly.

"Yes. It is." You narrowed your eyes.

You discussed the overview on what you had to do. You were going to go to Midtown Tech, the same school that Peter goes to. Your dad had arranged an apartment where you could live during school weeks, because let's be honest. A kid taking a limo to school (who's not supposed to be a Stark) and driving to stark tower every day would look pretty freaking weird.

"Got it? Also every afternoon if you want you can just go out as Hunter and patrol the city to kill time." Your dad shrugged. He knew for a fact that you were probably a better fighter than himself. "Oh! And absolutely no relationships. At all. None. If you do I will find out." Your dad glared at you.

"I have some questions and statements, 1. What so I cannot have friends. 2. Do you seriously have that much of little faith in me? Offended. 3. I hate modern teenagers and teenage boys are on a whole other level of HELL NAH! 4. Is the apartment linked up with F.R.I.D.A.Y? Because then I can go through files of S.H.I.E.L.D and stuff if something comes up."

"Hmm... 1. Yes you can. 2. I have faith in you but not teenage boys. 3.lol." Really 'lol' "4. Yes you also have full access to my files too. And a side note, if something does come up, please report to me straight away. Kapeesh?"

"Kapeesh." You agreed. "When do I start?"

"Tomorrow."

"Ok. Wait what?"

Time skip brought to you by your 'homework'

- - - - - - - - -

You stepped out of your car and looked at your new school.

"Great. Now I have to sit through 3 ½ hours of people telling me stuff that I already know. And then a separate 1 ½ hours of noise made by teens during lunches... yay. Would someone kindly apply a dagger to my heart? Thanks." You talked to yourself as you walked in.

The noise that greeted you was deafening and because you had enhanced senses it was horrible. You put on a necklace that was modified to control your senses. Plus it had an arrow pendant. It was the only jewellery you would ever wear.

You walked into the head's office.

"Uh, y/n l/n. I am a new student." You politely stated to the head.

"Ah yes miss l/n." He pulled out your timetable. "Here is your time table with all of your classes. You can just ask a student who already goes here to show you around if you want." He smiled.

"Thanks, bye." You walked out. You would just use your sight to see an x-ray birds eye view of the school and figure out the classes that way.

You walk your locker and opened it with the coordinates that came with your timetable. Click. First go. Nice.

You put your bag in your locker and got out your textbooks. You had biology first up.

"U-uh, h-hey..."

You heard a voice and turned your head to see who was talking.

"A-are you n-new here? I don't think I've seen you a-around? Not that I was watching you o-or anything! I-I just r-realised..." it was Peter who was opening the locker next to you. ((Cliche I know, the locker next to you)).

"Oh, yeah I am. I'm y/n by the way." You smiled.

"Parker. Wait! No. Peter." He closed his eyes and cringed at himself. "Peter. Parker."

You let a small laugh slip at his stuff up. He smiled at you.

"Uh, do you need any help getting around?" He kindly asked. You figured that you would blend in more that way.

"Yeah that would be great thanks." You handed him your time table. His eyes widened.

"Haha, we have all of the same classes." ((Yeah yeah I know I could not be more cliche donut judge me! 🍩 ))

"Cool."

Ring Ring

"Ok so biology first up." Peter nodded he gestured you to follow him. "It's just this way up the hall."

You talked most of the lesson considering that you already new all of the stuff that they were teaching you.

"Hey, are you Australian?" Peter asked you. It was during maths.

"Yup. That's me." You smiled.

"Cool..." there was some awkward silence before Peter broke it. "U-uh, do you know how to do this sum?" Peter nervously asked you.

"Oh, yeah you just simplify through distributive law and then you can cross out the numerators over the denominators to get 14xy-6v= 7m."

"Oh. Y-yeah thanks!" He smiled. "You're really smart!"

You laughed at his kindness "Thanks." He was really nice to you.

Lunch

- - - - - - - -

You walked into the lunch room. There were teens everywhere. Yaaaaaaay...

You looked across the room to see Peter sitting down at an isolated table next to another tan boy. He saw you walk in and was waving at you to come over.

You smiled at him and started walking over. You were stopped before reaching Peter's table.

"Hey new girl." A cocky boy stopped you. "I am gonna give you the opportunity to be popular like me. Sit with us."

You glanced at Peter and his smile fell.

"Thanks, but I'm good..." you smiled at Peter. "I'll just sit over there." You went to walk past him but one of his goones stuck their foot out and tripped you over.

Your reflexes came in and you swiftly cartwheeled one handed and landed gracefully and you just kept walking over to Peter, who was looking at you with complete utter shock.

So was everyone else in the room though... so much for blending in...

"THAT WAS AMAZING!" The boy sitting next to Peter praised. "What's your name?"

"Y/n. Y/n l/n." It felt weird to not say Stark, and it hurt to say l/n... it brought back... memories.

"Well y/n, my name in Ned!" He smiled widely.

You sat down across from Peter. Who was looking at you weirdly... you waved your hands in front of his face.

"Helloooooooo." You mocked. "Earth to Peter Parker."

He jolted back to reality. "O-oh yeah. Sorry what was the question?"

"I didn't ask anything." You stated.

"R-really? Oh. Sorry." He scratched the back of his neck.

"Where are you from? I've never seen you before." Ned cut the awkward air like a sword.

"Hm? Oh, uh yeah I'm not from Queens." You stuttered. Damn it y/n. That sounded like you were trying...

"Hey!" Ned jumped which made you jump as well. "Are you Australian? You have an accent. No offence intended!" he added.

"Yeah."

"Oh. Did your parents get a new job or something?" Ned pushed on the topic.

"N-no." You tried to come up with a good lie... "They're on constant business strips. And I wanted to go to school at the same place and not move around so this was the middle ground." You smiled.

"Oh. Ok. Cool." Ned believed your story. Nice job y/n. Not too bad at lying.

"Hey, uh, since you are new to here... why don't we all go over to Peter's after school?" Ned suggested. He seemed very nice.

"U-uh, I uh can't Ned... I-I've got the uh-" Peter stuttered out and was cut off by Ned finishing his sentence.

"The Stark internship. Yeah. You've always got that internship..." Ned sighed. Uuuh your dad never did internships...

"Stark huh?" You pretended to not know anything about Stark.

"Y-yeah." Peter turned his gaze to you.

"So what do you do?" You asked.

"Uh nothing much... just... stuff." Ooooh. This must be his excuse for being Spider-Man. You understood now. But you would still push on the topic to see how well he could handle pressure.

"What kind of 'stuff'? Not meaning to be rude or anything. I'm just curious." You made it not sound like you were mean. "I mean the Tony Stark... that's pretty cool." You smiled. Which made Peter shuffle in his seat uncomfortably.

"H-he uh, teaches me about uh, advanced technology. Yeah..." you could tell that he was satisfied with himself for coming up with something. "All that..."

"Hm. Cool. So I'll take it that your pretty smart then." You smiled at him.

"Oh, well... i guess that you could say that... hehe..." he was getting uncomfortable and nervous so you stopped.

"That is really cool." You smiled at him kindly.

After school

- - - - - - - -

You jumped around Queens. Loving being able to just relax for a bit and save people. An hour passed and you were lying on the top of a building when you felt a presence near you.

You jumped up and looked at the person.

"Wait. Hunter?" It was Spider-Man.

"Yeah. Hey Spider-Man. How are you going since Berlin?" You smiled at him.

"Hey. Yeah good..." he scratched the back of his neck. Just like Peter did. He made it pretty obvious. Plus he sounded exactly like Peter. That makes it pretty obvious which is why you talk in your American accent as Hunter. "So... uh, how have you been? Anything happen?" Hey tried to make conversation. "Wait! What are you doing here?"

"Ouch. That hurt." You pretended to stab yourself in your heart.

"N-no! Not like that! I was just uh curious." He tried to not offend you.

"All good Spidey." You waved a hand dismissively. "Dad sent me to help out here. And also keep an eye on you." You giggled.

"What. Oh come on. I'm sick of Mr. Stark treating me like a kid all the time!" He groaned. "I don't need some babysitter." he pouted.

"Once again. Ouch." You crossed your arms. "And by the looks of it, you sure do act like a kid." You teased.

"Wow." His eye lenses glared at you. "But... if I got stuck with a babysitter I'm glad it would be you."

"Thanks?"

Your head hurt. "Aah!" You hissed. Your vision went blue to show someone getting beat up in an alley.

"Hunter!" Peter immediately ran to your side. "Are you alright!?"

"Yeah..." you slowly got up because you had knelt from the pain. "But we need to go. Now." You shot a roped arrow at a building and pulled on the rope. You were immediately pulled by it towards the building. "Come on Spidey!" You yelled for him while flying over buildings.

"Coming!" He shot his webs and swung after you.

Shortly after, you landed on a building on the edge of an alley. Peter was still catching up. You looked and saw a man interrogating someone.

"Whaaaaa." Peter finally caught up and once he realised you had stopped he almost ran into you. "What are you-?"

"Shhhhh." You covered his mouth. You pointed downwards towards the alley.

"Hunter what's-" He whisper/yelled. He was cut off again by you.

"Shh." You hushed him again. You whispered in his ear trying not to make too much noise. "There's a guy down there, who is interrogating someone. There's going to be trouble soon..." You lead him to the edge. He then saw the man getting angrier.

"ENOUGH!" He angry man yelled. "I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU!" He drew out a gun.

Spider-Man jumped down without warning to the guy.

"Hey! Hey!" He was talking to the the guy with a gun. "No need to shoot man. Just calm down. Ok?"

"CALM DOWN! THAT'S IT! I've seen you on YouTube." The man was getting very angry with Peter now. "I know what you do... and I know for a fact. That you 'ain't bulletproof!" He pointed the gun directly at Peter. The other man had run off by now so all the anger was at Peter.

The man pulled the trigger.
