Chapter 3: What am I?

Your life was going to change forever in the next two days.

"AAAAAAH!" You screamed at the top of your lungs. "WHAT THE HELL!?!?!" You screamed more. Petrified of the sight before you.

Then you realised, that while you were looking at what had just happened, your eyesight was blue.

Not only that but it was like looking through a computer. Like looking through your-. No. Your specialised site.

You had a "+" in the middle of your blue vision! And everything thing you focused the "+" on showed a number with a bunch of decimals on it. Like. Well... your eyes calculated the exact distance of whatever you looked at.

"WHAT THE FLIP IS HAPPENING TO ME?!?!?!" Everything was happening at once. Your eyes darted towards your hand.

Your eyes widened even more (if that was possible). The back of your hand... it... it had a-a CROSSBOW ATTACHED TO IT! As in, AS A PART OF IT! "WHAT THE HELL!?!?!" You screamed for the billionth time in that last minute.

Your breathing hitched you were (naturally) freaking out completely! Was this some kind of a messed up dream???

No. Today was real. Your hands were shaking as you stared at your hand. You (childishly) poked the bow with your other hand. It was just like-.

WHAT! IT WAS A MINI VERSION OF YOUR WRISTBAND BOW!!!! But, it was silver. Like a polished metal.

WAIT! As if the freak out would never stop.

You looked at yourself in the mirror and saw that your eyes were an icy blue, and only just came to your senses to realise. That your whole body was covered in this... What was it???... it was like a chainmail suit. What?

It covered everything up to the top of your neck. But it was a little different to normal chainmail... It was a lot lighter. As well as it was comfortable...

After another ten minutes of freaking out about all of this, you sat down of your bed. You straightened out your arm and lined up you bow facing the wall. The little + symbol was pointing in the middle of the wall.

Wait? Can I shoot this thing?? You thought to yourself. Your fist tightened by itself and all of the sudden, the string of the bow drew back. As it did so an arrow appeared of it! What the actual frick???

You line the + on a book on your desk. So how do you shoot this thing??? As if your thought triggered it, the arrow fired and hit the book square in the middle of where you had aimed. How did this happen??? You thought to yourself.

"THE FLASH!" You gasped. That broken arrow you shot yesterday must have triggered a circuit overload, which somehow made your bow become.... a....part of... you.

You stood up and walked over to the arrow. As you touched it to pick it up, it disappeared and you could have sworn that you saw it go back into your hand...

"This is the weirdest freaking thing that has ever happened to me." You sighed, somehow getting used to the weirdness.

Wait! Your vision was still blue and you still had a 30 cm bow attached. to. your. hand! "How do I get it to go away?!"

You tried to think. What did I do to get it to come out in the first place? Oh! You had cracked your knuckles. You cracked your knuckles again. Hoping that something would happen... and it did.

There was a smaller flash. And it all went away in the blink of an eye. "No. Way." Your sight was normal, the suit was gone revealing your normal cloths, and you did not have a bow on that back of your hand! Your looked at yourself once again in the mirror...

"What am I?" You looked at your reflection. "Am I still y/n? Am I still human? What is happening to me?"

Tears started to well up in your eyes you covered your face with your hands a silently cried for a bit on your bed. This was just all too much.

2 hours later, you fell asleep. In your dreams, through blue vision you saw a bright flash, man in a metal suit, and... a boy you did not recognise...

Time skip: your parents coming home brought to you by the weirdest day of your life

"Y/N!" The voice of your mum rang through the house.

"WE'RE HOME!" Your dad echoed.

"Hey... I am in my room." This was all you could say after the events of yesterday ran through you head once again.

"Anything happen while we were gone?" You mum asked.

"NO! Umm... Nup. Nothing at all. What would make you say that? Haha...haaaa..." Smooth y/n. Real smooth. You mentally face palmed.

"Ok. So the rest of the family is coming over for dinner tonight to celebrate dad's birthday!" Your mum chimed. She clearly missed the freak out in your voice from the previous sentences. Close call.

"Ok. Cool." You smiled.

Time skip to the dinner brought to you by an oblivious mother and father. Lol.

You sat down at the table with all of your relatives. You did not really have a lot, but a family is a family and you were happy for that.

"So y/n, how is archery going?" Your uncle asked.

"Great! I am doing really well." You smiled. Well I guess you could call it that anyway.

You all ate dinner together and laughed at your dad's horrible jokes.

You were really happy. All of the stress from the previous day had gone.

You were with your family and that is all that mattered.

But then, that moment ended.

Your eyesight flashed blue. You had a massive headache. Through blue eyes, you saw this massive flash in your mind. You never saw this coming...

BOOOOM!!!

All you saw was a bright flash of light. Then everything went black.

You woke up to your ears ringing. Your vision blurry. You were very weak, but you slowly managed to stand.

You looked around you. Everything. Was gone. What used to be your house. Was now rubble.

Your vision slowly came into focus. And you realised that it was blue again. You looked down at your body, it was all... silver?

What was supposed to be your skin was now all shiny silver metal. Wait, your wrist didn't have the crossbow on it. What ever was happening was different than before...

The ringing sound was slowly going away, but everything was still muffled.

You then realised, that a bomb had gone off!

No! Your family! You looked everywhere frantically trying to find something. Anything.

You found nothing.

You tripped over a piece of metal but flipped and stabilized yourself. "What! How did I just flip! What is happening to me!?" You fell to your knees. Crying. Everything you ever loved or cared about, was now, gone.

Your tears were silver.

What were you? You stopped crying having run out of tears. You lifted your head to see what piece of metal you tripped on. It read... what? "Stark Industries"

Isn't that the iron man guy in America that stopped making bombs?

Why was this one here?

Wait.

How were you still alive. After an explosion? Did it have something to do with your silver state?

You felt a weird sensation. You looked down at your hands...

The silver metal you saw, slowly sunk back into your skin... your clothes showed. Not even burnt. Your skin was now back to normal! Unscarred!

"What the-" You starred still awestruck at you hands. Your eyesight turned back to normal. You were ok.

How?

You then saw in the distance... iron man?!?!?!?

What was iron man doing here?

You could somehow hear him talking to his AI. "Damn it. Y/d/n (your dad's name)." Stark huffed. "I'm too late. J.A.R.V.I.S, are there any survivors?"

"50 meters to your right sir." The AI responded. Tony jumped at the fact that someone survived. How could you hear this? "Y/n l/n has miraculously survived... sir?" The AI stopped.

"What is it?" Tony questioned.

"She has no injuries at all... She was here as the bomb went off. Judging by her positioning, she was closest to it when it went off..." The AI system was puzzled at science showing it was impossible for you to survive.

"What? No injuries?" He started to fly over to you. "What do you mean 'no injuries' she was in the explosion." He landed ten meters away from you. He slowly walked towards you. His helmet deforming around his face to look at you. "You're y/n right?" His tone was confused yet soft.

"Y-y-yes s-sir." You swallowed. You were able to hear their conversation when they were 50 m away from you... what? "A-are you T-tony S-stark?"

You were stuttering because of all the shock you had just gone through.

"Yeah. That's me..." he was still looking at you awestruck. "Y/n, I was good friends with your father... can you tell me what happened here...?"

"A bomb went off... w-when we-" you fell to your knees again. "M-my whole f-family was here. I-it went off. And now... now, they're all gone." You did not think it was possible but you managed to cry again.

The silver tears falling down on the ground. Tony slowly walked over to you and put his hand on your shoulder. "Y/n... I am so sorr-" He quickly redrew his armoured hand and looked at it. It had started to melt. "J.A.R.V.I.S!? What is happening right now!?"

"Sir, y/n's body temperature is at 800 degrees!" The AI responded confused.

"What!" Tony looked at you. "Y/n...?" He looked at you now realising that your tears were silver.

"M-mr. S-stark. I don't know what is happening to me!" You looked at your hands.

"Everything is going to be alright y/n..." Tony comforted you. "I need you to come with me... Will you let me help you?"

You just nodded in agreement. You wanted his help.

"J.A.R.V.I.S, Activate a cooling system that will cool y/n's body temperature. I don't know how she has survived this long but she probably will not make it-" Tony was cut off by his AI.

"Sir, y/n blood is currently extremely heated metal..."

"W-what? We need to get you checked out y/n. Come with me." Tony put out a hand for you to take.

You took his armoured hand. It was as cold as ice. Probably the cooling system.

You felt a rush of the cold go through you.

He picked you up and flew in the direction of his lab. You took one last look at your childhood home. Which now was in ruins... one last single tear slid down your face.

That was over two years ago now.

A/N:

Holly wowza. That was a really big chapter.
