I was onnn Pandora and I found this song by Falling In Reverse #LoveThemSM called Coming Home and all I could think was 1)this is really Freaking good and 2) this is perfect for Colin & Everly sooo yeah. Song for chapter is Coming Home by Falling In Reverse

I grabbed my knife from the floor and slid against the wall, calming myself like I had done so many times.

I peeked around the corner as someone ran down the stairs. I reached out to grab her but Colin stopped him. I could've stabbed him, but I liked him too much.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" I shouted at him, struggling in his grip.

He laughed coolly. "Everly meet Cassidy, Cassidy... meet Everly."

"Where. The. Hell. Is he!?" She shouted instead of looking at me. "I know he's here." She held the anger of a small leprechaun who's gold had been stolen.

"Who— oooh. Konnor. Yeah, he's been everywhere." Colin said, shrugging. "I barely see him."

I haven't seen him since that night. It's been a while. So I was guessing that the girl in front of me, was a friend of Konnor's. Wait no... I had heard the name Cassidy before.

"His guts are about to be everywhere if he doesn't answer his damn telephone. I refuse to be ignored like this." She stomped her foot and smiled kindly at me. "Oh you must be Everly, hi honey, I'm Cassidy, Konnor's wife." She turned back to Colin, glaring. "Use your telephone and get him to answer me!"

I stood up straighter and faced Colin. "I think it'll be best if you call him." I nodded seriously. She didn't seem like someone who had any sense of patience or anger control.

Colin pulled out his phone. "Okay okay, calm your self I'm calling him." He put his phone up to his ear and after a couple moments we heard the bland marimba ringtone of an iPhone come from outside the door followed by a couple cuss words.

His brother walked into the house, a dark suit on his body. "I'm right—" He made eye contact with Cassidy. "Oh fuck." He tried to turn around and dodge the lovely lady, but she wasn't having it.

Her eyes darkened as she walked to him and threw him onto the floor.

"Who do you think you are!?" She screamed and he winced.

"Konnor Alexzandria Gold." He joked, lightly smiling in hopes of fixing the situation.

It did not fix the situation.

She glared at him even harder and it made my bones shiver as she growled almost wolflike. She grabbed his ear and pulled him up, him screeching and grumbling.

"Why are you here!?" She shouted.

He recoiled and nodded to Colin. "Watching my little brother. Dad thinks Konrad is rising again." He sighed and Cassidy's eyes started going black.

"I'll kill him." She threatened.

"Get in line sweetheart. You'll be waiting for a long time." He rolled his eyes and ran a hand through his hair stressfully.

If anyone is in front of that line it's me and my family. And Alpha Arlis, the werewolf guy that Constance knows.

"I don't even think he's actually rising. Probably just someone playing off of history and scaring everyone." Konnor said, scoffing. "How could he return? I thought Becker Reinheart said he killed him. And Becker is a terrifying witch, I doubt he'd fail at something like that."

Oh if only he knew. "He is coming back. He was in my nightmares. And Becker can't track down the children." I said, my voice dropping an entire octave.

The already silent room got even quieter. My ears were ringing with the silence and every single sound, every breath, was too loud. Even the faint chirping of crickets sounded like a car crash.

"How do you know?" Konnor asked rudely, taking a step towards me.

I shrugged. "He's the family witch. He's practically family." He was family. By blood. But I couldn't say that, no matter how much I wanted to shove it in his face.

Konnor cracked up laughing much to my surprise and pointed at Colin. "You are fucking screwed little brother. Don't come to me when her family tries to kill you." He wiped his eyes and let out a last, breathy laugh. "Oh, this is gold. I'm talking, shinier than my last name, gold."

I cleared my throat and glared at him. "So yes. Konrad is rising. And when he does—"

"Is it your fault?" Cassidy asked sweetly, vamp speeding in front of me and giving me a pitying look.

She really was gorgeous. Flaming red hair that fell down her short and chubby body in tendrils of fire. Her eyes were pure emeralds, a gem cut straight from the rocks themselves. She wore no makeup, but she didn't need too.

I was taller than her by a long shot, fitter, but I had no chance against her if we were to fight. She was much older than me, probably faster, stronger.

"My fault?" I spat. "I'm not raising Konrad!?"

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "You, are a Hunter. He, is a Vampire. That's two different species. You two are supposed to start a war of the species."

"Yeah but what do me and Colin have to do with Konrad?" I asked.

Now it was plaguing me. From the moment I met Colin everything in my life had torn itself down.

Becker disappeared, kids were missing, my sister was gone. Dallas is mad at me, probably hates me. Konrad is rising. The entire supernatural world is tense, like we all just sat on a ticking time bomb. And me and Colin's relationship hadn't even spread outside of this house yet. Even God feared what would happen if it did.

Nothing in this world is a coincidence. Not with our lives.

"Who knows? What do a raven and a writing desk have to do with each other?" She shrugged and raised her eyebrows. "Nobody knows."

I blinked my eyes at her. I knew why a raven was like a writing desk, I didn't however know what me and Colin had to do with Konrad. Was there anything at all?

I licked my lips and rubbed my eyes. I was tired from my run in with Konrad, tired of the information that I had weighing me down.

"It'll unravel itself with time. But right now, why the hell is the glass mirror busted. What happened the the TV!?" Konnor shouted, running to the TV. "No no no, I was gunna watch the game."

I looked to Colin and shook my head. He couldn't say anything, shouldn't say anything. I prayed he got what I meant and kept the attack from Konrad on the down low.

"You know how Supernatural make out session go. I mean... they can get rough." Colin huffed out and chuckled. "She practically jumped my—"

"Okay okay enough!" Konnor covered his ears. "I don't... I don't want to know." He said and looked at Cassidy. "So why are you looking for me?"

Cassidy gave him a dumb look. "Because we're married you little twit. And you left without telling me. Quinn and Roman have non stop been crying and all I have to help me take care of them are Archie and—"

"They're 10. How hard can it be to take care of them?" Konnor scoffed.

She glared at him and kicked his side a little too hard. He stumbled sideways and grabbed his side.

"Ah fuck, Cass. I think you broke— ah, yeah. My rib." He took in a deep breath and winced. "Dammit Cass."

"What are you gunna do about it huh!?" She yelled. "You have three kids. Two of them are ten and need to be watched 24/7 right now. One of them is 102 and still needs to be watched 24/7! And you left."

He sighed and limped over to her, putting a hand on her cheek. "Cass. I always come back, don't I?" He asked.

She looked like she was going to punch him. "After you sleep around and after you get blood-drunk." She spat back.

I was still concerned over the fact that he had kids. He looked and acted way to irresponsible to have children. Much less three of them. I could understand the mistake of having one, but three.

I couldn't even think about having kids in a world like this. Cursing them to an endless torment of worrying about dying or killing. I looked to Colin. How did he feel on the subject?

"No. I mean I do get blood drunk, yes, but I don't cheat on you." He softened his facial features and kissed her lightly. "I might be a jerk but I would never cheat on you, Strawberry."

"Our nickname is so much cuter." Colin whispered in my ear, and his breath made my body shiver in delight.

I eyed him. "What nickname?"

"Oh come on, dear, don't you know?" He asked, wiggling his eyebrows.

I rolled my head. "It's kind of cringey." I said as Cassidy and Konnor began making out a little too much.

I turned away from them and walked to the living room and sat on the couch. I could fall asleep right now.

He sat down next to me, his scent of evergreens and rain wafting over me like his own personal cologne. "I think it's cute." He responded.

He could have kissed me there. I could have kissed him. In fact, I started too, but Konnor jumped into the living room loudly and, quite frankly, interrupted the moment.

He smiled at us. "I am outta here. Call if you need anything little bro." He looked at me respectfully. "Bye little sis, watch out for my brother won't you?"

I nodded. "Will do." I inwardly smiled at the way he called me little sis. It felt good to have his family like me.

Cassidy cleared her throat. "You act like we're going to be gone forever Konnor. Christmas is in a week! We'll be back. And I think you're in your mom's good graces again."

He chuckled. "Hmm. Wait until she sees what's in her closet. And when she realizes I'm leaving her son alone at the house instead of watching him like I was supposed too."

Cassidy slapped his shoulder. "What's in the closet!?" She shrieked.

He wrapped his arm around her and started towards the door, his mischievous laugh could be heard, followed by the words, "You don't want to know."

Colin rubbed his temples.

I looked at the ceiling, remembering that Alexzandra was in there right now, probably crying her heart out still. It was understandable.

"You can go say bye, Konnor. She's up there. She's still upset about Sophia!" I yelled out to them, knowing it was a touchy subject that him and his mom could talk about.

Cassidy frowned. "Is she alright?"

Konnor shook his head at me. "I'm here to protect my family. Colin is here to keep it together. That's his job." He said calmly, quietly, and whispered something to Cassidy that made her cry.

With a shaking body, she left, Konnor right behind her.

Colin sighed and bit his lip. He had something on his mind, and a part of me didn't know what to do with him. I'd hate for someone to baby me, treat me like a porcelain doll. Comfort wasn't a part of my vocabulary. Another part of me wanted to go out and hunt down Konrad myself, because revenge was my family's middle name. But a much larger side just wanted to hold Colin and wash away his tears.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked quietly, moving my hand so it sat on his knee.

He looked at the ground and clenched his hands. "Honestly, no." He closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose, rubbing his face up and down. "It's has been... a long night."

It really had been. It certainly was one of those nights that even after a hundred years, I'd still remember every single detail.

Alexzandria's cries, Konrad's evil laugh, the sound of Colin in pain.

I leaned into Colin's shoulder and ran my hand up and down his arm, biting the inside of my cheek. I couldn't think of a better person to go through a terrible night with.

I watched through the window as the stars blinked and twinkled. Snow was rushing outside, blanketing the ground with a white harshness.

I liked the winter. It reminded me of myself. And as arrogant as I sounded when I thought that, I knew it was true. I was cold and harsh, a storm.

And Colin? Colin was spring when all the flowers bloomed and the weather was perfect. He was the light smell of flowers when a soft breeze blew. He deserved better than me.

I closed my eyes and squeezed him closer to me. And yet, I didn't want to lose him. I couldn't. I was too selfish too.

I heard soft footsteps and I held my breath as a fragile and broken Alexzandria Gold shuffled into the room, her eyes red as black streaks ran down her face from her makeup.

She held a soft smile once she saw Colin. He stood up from me and ran to his mom, throwing his arms around her.

I sat there awkwardly as he cried in her shoulders. It almost made me wish I had someone in my family like that. Well... I did. But Becker was gone, maybe someone different than who I made him out to be. Mom was gone too, so I didn't have her either.

"Mom, we'll find her." Colin said. "Dad is looking and—"

"Listen listen listen." Alexzandria fell to the floor and cried, pounding the floor. "He's not okay he's not okay he's not okay." She whined, shaking her head. "I came to say goodbye Colin, I came to say goodbye."

He took a step back. "Mom what are you talking about?"

Her whole demeanor changed. She went from crying, to hysterical, to now... this. She wasn't acting like herself and she certainly wasn't acting sane.

"I'll ruin her. I'll ruin her." She whispered. "I'll follow out his orders and ruin her." She whispered.

I stood up and grabbed Colin's hand. "Colin what is she—"

"I'm sorry, Colin. Blame your father. Blame your father. He's not as clean as he says he is! NEVER WAS! NEVER WILL BE!" She screamed. A pregnant moment passed before she made eye contact with me. "Konrad visited me."

I tilted my head and grabbed my dagger as her eyes grew red and black, the skin around her wrinkled and grey.

"And he made some good points." She growled. "I'll make him go Atrax YOU JUST WATCH! KONRAD WILL REIGN ONCE AGAIN!" Black liquid poured from her mouth as she lunged towards me.

I held my dagger up to her throat and it melted her skin as she screamed, the silver melting a hole. Blood leaked but she wouldn't die.

She spit in my face and black leaked into my eyes, blurring my vision and burning my skin.

She was thrown off of me and I wiped my eyes, black sticking to my hands.

"Mom! It's me, Colin!" Colin yelled to her. "Your son!" He tried finding her humanity, but there was none. Just this monster and the shell of a woman.

She hissed at him and lunged at me once more, her black hands aiming for my throat.

I ducked and swung, cutting her stomach but she didn't even notice. She landed on top of me and grabbed my hair, banging my head into the hard floor.

I elbowed her face but it was like hitting brick, useless and ripping skin.

She flew off of me, Colin was helping me up. "We need to go, now!" He shouted.

I nodded and got up, her yells chasing after us as we ran to the front door.

Something yanked me back and I flung backwards, my back hitting the wall with a loud crunch. I fell forward and hit the ground, blood poured from my mouth and my nose.

She swiped at my face, her nails scratching across my cheek and over my eye. I screamed as I plunged forward, my dagger digging deep into her shoulder. Not her heart.

She recoiled and grabbed the dagger, pulling it out and expertly throwing it at me.

I cried as it dug itself deep into my thigh, the silver burning along with the Lotus.

She smiled at me and jumped at me one more time. Colin pulled her back and threw her into the fireplace, unlucky for me there were no flames lit.

She glared at us, her eyes empty from all emotion. She tilted her head and made a weird screeching noise before disappearing into thin air. Poof. Gone. Like magic.

I screamed as I ripped the dagger out, and tossed it to the side. Colin rushed to my side and ripped his shirt, tying it above the wound.

I bit down into my hand as he ran to the kitchen and got a wet rag, pressing it over the gaping hole.

"You okay?" He asked.

I glared at him. "DO I LOOK OKAY!" I yelled and pulled myself against the wall, gripping my thigh. "I'm Lotus poisoned and so is your mom!"

"Lotus doesn't kill an Atrax unless it's in the heart directly. That black goop circulates the system and pours out." He winced and then shook his head. "Sorry. Fun fact about Atrax."

I almost smacked him but I didn't have the strength. "FUN FACT! I DONT CARE! I'M GOING TO DIE!"

He narrowed his eyes. "I think the hell not." He put his arms under my legs and my neck and picked me up, me screaming into his ear. "I'm taking you to the hospital."

"But the human—"

"Fuck the humans!" He ran to the car and put me carefully in the passenger seat, and hopped over into the front, driving off faster than the speed limit.

I felt my eyes start to close, the darkness and the storm pulling me to their loud silence.

"Hey stay with me!" Colin yelled, putting his hand on my numb knee. "Don't close your eyes. We're almost there." He stepped on the gas harder and passed through a red light. Cars honked as us as we drove, but I doubt Colin cared.

I shut my eyes and when I opened them, Colin was vamp running into the hospital with me in his arms. "GET ME A DOCTOR! NOW!" He yelled.

A man with dark skin and oceanic blue eyes ran from around the corner. "Colin Gold?" He sounded surprised until he saw me and instantly started panicking. "Is she SN hurt?" He asked wildly and silently as people ran to us with a gurney. I could already hear the wheels squeaking. SN the code word our witch doctor's used that worked here. SuperNatural hurt.

"Put some oil on those damn wheels or I'm not going!" I heard myself yell and then I tried to roll out of Colin's arms.

Colin blinked at me. "Half dead and you're worried about squeaky wheels." He snapped his head the the doctor. "Yes. Lotus in her thigh."

The doctor nodded. "Alright! I got this one!"

I'm sure the hospitals close to where Supernaturals lived all knew something else was out there in the world. But their days were too long and stressful to care about the stranger procedures that went on behind closed doors.

I felt myself set down on a gurney and I held Colin's hand.

"Colin please. Don't leave me." I said.

"I won't I won't." He said.

A couple moments later I found two guys trying to rip Colin from my bedside. I tried to stand up and help him, get him back. But everything was shifting from bright white to black. When I blinked it felt like hours passed.

"Let him stay or I'll mess you up worse than I did his mom!" I yelled and started laughing way too uncontrollably.

I tried to get up again, but someone pushed me down.

"I NEED A BLOOD TRANSPLANT! IMMEDIATELY." The doctor looked to me. "Who in your family is here?"

I shook my head. "Nobody." I whispered, not even sure if he heard me. "They're... Canada."

He widened his eyes and clapped his hands. "Let the boy stay." He said and looked to a brown bowl on the glass table, an old book sat next to it.

"Who knows if this will even work." He said, and every light in the building turned off.

I shut my eyes and felt my body power down.
