A black animal like figure with wings were attacking people. It snarled and hissed at the fairies.

Rainbow and Applejack looked at eachother then at the creature. It was big and dangerous looking. It obviously could kill a fairy if it wanted to. Rainbow Dash figured this out. She was not about to let any of her people get hurt.

Suddenly the beat pounced on a little girl. The girl screamed in fear. Rainbow flew towards the creature. She blasted it either her magic, getting its attention.

"Hey. Leave her alone".

She threw two more bursts of magic at it. The creature growled angrily. It turned and flew towards her. It large wings flapping. Rainbow fluttered off the ground. She quickly flew down through the village, the creature surpringly not far behind.

Okay. Time to lead this thing out of town.

The princess looked back. The creture was hot on her tail. She flew theough the village, dodging other fairies. At some pint she passed her mother. She was surprised to see her mom there. The queen hadn't been feeling well for that day so Rainbow hadn't expected her to be there.

The queen gasped as she watched the large creature chased her daughter.

Rainbow came out to the edge of the village. Now there was nothing for her to land on. Only a hundred foot drop on rocks and a dark abyss. She just had to keep flying. Rainbow knew she wasn't a strong flyer. There were times when her wings would stop working and she nearly fallen to her death a few times. But now, she couldn't think that. She knew where she had to go.

She headed to the forbidden forest.

The princess's heart was racing. She looked back to see the creature still flying behind her. She was beginning to get tired but pressed on. The forest was in sight. She forced her wings to go faster.

"Rainbow!!".

Rainbow turned her head. Her eyes widened. She saw the girls with their pegasi.

"GUYS!!", she yelled over to them. "GET OUT OF HERE BEFORE IT TRIES TO KILL YOU!!".

"We're not leaving you", Applejack called. "The guards are with us. What's the plan??".

Rainbow sighed. She looked back at the creature. It looked like it wanted to kill her if it caught her. It probably would. She looked at the girls and the gaurds, thinking. She had an idea.

"Trap it. The forest is right there!!".

One guard nodded. The group of men distracted the beast. It growled and growled at them ad they flew around it.

It still followed after Rainbow Dash. The princess smiled. The plan wad working. Now she needed was a tree. The entrance to the forest was ahead. The princess felt herself grow weak. She zipped into the darkness of the forest. The fairies were flowing in the dark. The creature followed Rainbow's bright glow. Rainbow could looked around for something. Anything.

Her eyes spotted a few leaning trees. Her brain came up with a idea. It was worth a shot. Hopefully this worked.

Rainbow Dash led the beast towards the trees. She made a fast u-turn. The beast crashed into the trees. Rainbow turned around in time to see the trees break and fall over the beast, trapping it in a cage looking thing. The beast growled and looked at her.

"Rainbow".

Rainbow turned around. She saw the girls and their pegasi flying over to her. She smiled. Flying over to Applejack, she hugged her. She pulled away, breathing hard.

"Are you okay??", Twilight asked.

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah. Man, that was...... quite a workout".

Rainbow nodded. "I'm okay. Let's get back to the town".

The girls nodded. They all headed out of the forest.

"Are you sure you're alright your highness??", one of the guards asked.

Rainbow looked at the man. She smiled and nodded.

"Yes. I'm sure. Just tired from flying that much. I didn't think I'd make out that far".

The gaurds nodded. Rainbow flew beside Applejack. The blonde looked at her.

"Ah was worried when ah that thing chase ya. What was that thing??".

Rainbow shrugged. "Not sure but it's gone so that's a relief. We have to check on the fairies to make sure no one got hurt".

Applejack nodded. "Are you sure you're alright??. Ya look a little pale".

Rainbow nodded. "Well I'm not the strongest flyer in Avalen. Especially since I've only had my wings for less than than a year. I'm just tired. But I can make the trip back home".

It was quiet for a moment.

"Do you really think that creature came from the forbidden forest??", Twilight suddenly spoke up. The girls looked at her.

"I'm not sure", Rainbow said. "But I just hope it doesn't come back".

The group was silent the rest of the way there. Finally they reached the town again. Rainbow spotted the fairies all gathered in the center of the village. They flew down towards them. Applejack's, Twilight's, and Pinkie's pegasi landed. The three girls got off.

Applejack looked at Rainbow Dash who was still fluttering. The princess looked at the crowd, as as the fairies all gathered around them.

"Rainbow!!".

She turned her saw. Her father came over to her and wrapped her in his arms.

"I'm so happy to see you", he said. "Are you alright??".

Rainbow nodded. "I'm fine".

"What happened to the creature??", she heard a someone from the crowd ask.

Whispers broke out through the fairies. Rainbow looked around.

"It's alright everyone. The beast is trapped and probably won't come back for quite some time. Now, is everyone......".

Rainbow had to take a breath. She slowly descended to the ground. Applejack took her hand. Rainbow looked ready to pass out.

"You alright??", she asked quietly.

Rainbow became more alert, as if being shook away. She looked around, rising a little.

"You're not okay", Applejack said. "Get down. Ah'll carry you".

Rainbow shook her head.

"Can't. If I stop, I'll pass out. I'm too weak to stay awake".

The king and queen hurried over to their daughter.

"Rainbow my darling", King Lightning said, a worried look on his face.

"Please. Stop fighting this. You're exhausted your wings. Stop flying and get down".

Rainbow looked at Applejack. The blonde gripped her arm gently. Rainbow lowered herself onto the ground. She felt as if she had no energy in her. She collapsed onto the ground.

Applejack knelt down and picked her up. Rainbow Dash was out cold. Her head was resting on Applejack's chest linply.

"Rainbow??. Wake up!!".

She looked up at the royals and the girls worry in her eyes.

"We have ta get her back to the castle. Now".
