Rainbow let out a whine. Her eyes were heavy so she struggled to open them. She began to gain consciousness. She felt something touching her face. Rainbow's eyes slid open.

She looked up at the ceiling. She willed her numb fingers to move. She slowly moved her fingers, letting the blood rush through her sleeping arm. Her fingers began to move. Rainbow moved her hand and brought it up to her head.

Her throat felt dry and her voice gone. Rainbow felt a hand on her cheek. Then Applejack came to her line of sight

"Hey Rainbow".

"Applejack??", Rainbow groaned. "What happened??".

"Ya collapsed from exhaustion. We brought cha back home".

Rainbow prompt herself up. She looked around, her eyes squinted. She was in her room. The princess looked at Applejack.

"How long was I out??".

Applejack made a face.

"A few hours".

Rainbow's eyes widened. She sat up quickly.

"Is everyone okay??. I have to make sure that thing didn't come back".

Rainbow swung her legs off the side of the bed, removing the blanket. Applejack got up and blocked her.

"That ain't a good idea".

Rainbow grunted as a headache hit her. Her head pounded.

"My head".

Applejack laid her back down, pulling the blanket up.

"When you're rested enough ah'll take ya to yir parents. Fir now, just rest. When you wake up, you have ta eat. Yir probably hungry".

Rainbow sighed. She wad worried. What if the thing haf come back while she was unconscious??. What if someone was hurt by it and she didn't know??. All this unknown scared her. But with Applejack by her side, she knew she wasn't going to be leaving her bed any time soon.

"Okay. You win this time".

When Rainbow Dash was rested enough Applejack took her down to eat. The girls ate dinner. When that was done Rainbow requested for her parents. Her father came running.

He came into the dining room. He saw the girls sitting down. The king walked towards them. Rainbow went to stand up.

"No Rainbow my darling", King Lightning said. "Stay seated".

Rainbow relaxed in her chair. Her father walked over to her and kneeled down.

"How do you feel sweetheart??", he asked.

Rainbow smiled. "I feel great. Applejack made sure I was well rested before leaving my bed and held me hostage in my own room".

The king laughed.

"Well that's good to know".

The man smiled, his blue eyes twinkling. He touched Rainbow's forehead with the back of his hand.

"You don't feel warm anymore so you don't have a fever. But I want you to take it easy for a few days. Okay??. You're still sleep deprived".

Rainbow Dash nodded.

"I gotcha".

The king stood up. He sighed.

"Dad", Rainbow said, a worried look on her face. "How's everyone??. Is everyone okay??. What about that little girl the creature was attacking??. Is she okay??. And the other fairies??. Are they alright??. Are you alright??. The creature didn't come back did it??".

The man chuckled.

"Worrisome like your mother".

The man laughed light-heartedly. He looked at the teenage fairy.

"Everyone is just fine. Some things were broken and everyone is a bit shaken up but everything is alright so calm your wings".

Rainbow let out a sigh of relief.

"That's a relief. I was sure that something had gone wrong while I was out like a light".

Rainbow crossed her arms, thinking.

"But where did it come from??", she asked noone in particular. "Why did it attack us and why was it so focused on killing me??".

"I'm not sure", her father said. "But let's not worry too much about that right now".

Rainbow nodded. "How's mom??".

The king sighed. Rainbow looked up in alarm.

"What??".

"She's getting worse", the king said. "It's probably just a cold but-".

He was cut off by a coughing fit. Rainbow looked up at her father worriedly.

"Dad, are you feeling okay??", she asked.

The king nodded. He cleared his throat.

"I'm fine. Just a cough is all. Nothing to worry about".

The man smiled. Rainbow looked unconvinced. She looked at Applejack then back at her dad.

"Okay. But be careful and if you dont feel well tell the doctor. Okay??".

King Lightning nodded. He smiled

"I will Rainbow. Don't worry".

Rainbow Dash didn't smile back. She was seriously. Anyone could see the fear and concern in her magenta hues eyes. The king sighed. He knelt down.

"Rainbow, my darling. Don't fret over me. I'm sure you're stressed enough with lack of sleep and yesterday's ordeal. I'll be just fine. Okay??".

Rainbow nodded. "I just don't want anything to happen to you or mom".

She crossed her arms, looking at her lap.

"If you die-"

"No".

Rainbow looked up at the man. Unshed tears were seen in her eyes. Her father looked at her seriously.

"Don't think like that. You won't lose me. Okay??. No matter what, I will fight whatever it is to stay alive. I will fight every second of my life just so I can stay here, with you. Okay??".

I nodded wordlessly. She looked at her lap. If she looked anywhere else, the princess would have started to cry but she had to be strong. Rainbow knew that her father might catch whatever her mom had and that would mean that she would need to be the strong one.

She cannot cry. She had to be strong for everyone. Applejack watched the exchange for not even two foot away. She looked at the rainbow haired princess.

She looked at the king who kissed his daughter on the forehead and stood up straight.

"Well girls, I'll be down the hall with my advisors. If it would make your worries dissappear, we can take a trip down to the town tomorrow morning".

Both nodded. The king nodded.

"See you later".

With that he left the room. It was quiet. Applejack watched Rainbow for a minute. The princess looked at her.

"He's sick", she said. She looked at her lap. "They both are".

Applejack got up. She knelt down beside the girl.

"Rainbow. Look at me please".

Rainbow looked at her. Applejack took her hands.

"They will get past this. It's gunna be okay. You'll still have me. Ah will never leave ya ta deal with this alone. Me and the girls will be here fir ya every step of the way. Okay??. You're not alone".

Rainbow nodded. Applejack pulled her in for a much needed hug. Rainbow squished her cheek against Applejack's chest.
Applejack ran her hand over Rainbow's hair soothingly, holding her.

"They're sick Applejack", Rainbow Dash whispered. She sniffled.
"They're sick".
