I know it's been a long time since I've last updated this book but I'm back and I'll be finishing this book. Enjoy :)

The forrest was dark and quiet. The thick trees gave no sunlight. The only light was from the lanterns they held and the glow from the fairies' bodies.

Applejack looked around, a lantern in her hand. She, Flash, King Lightning, the Queen, and two guards were taking the lead. Flash was in the very front, leading them down a path, a lit lantern in his left hand.

A sudden sound spooked them. The guards had their swords ready. Applejack, Pinkie, and Twilight had their weapons ready as well. Everyone was on immediately ready to spring into action.

"It's only an owl", King Lightning said, relaxing a little. "Nothing to fear".

They moved on in silence.

Applejack couldn't help but worry.

A million thoughts seemed to run through her head. Was Rainbow alright??. Was she alive??. Hurt??. Afraid??. Applejack remembered the last time Rainbow was taken. She hated thinking about it. Hearing Rainbow in pain from her magic being ripped out of her. The way she looked so weak and afraid.

Applejack never wanted her to look the way she did that day ever again. She swore that after they got Rainbow back, she'd never leave Rainbow alone. Ever.

"Applejack??".

Applejack looked up and to her left. Twilight was walking beside her, a concerned look on her face.

"Are you okay??", Twilight asked, keeping her voice to a whisper.

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. Just thinkin about Rainbow".

She looked ahead of her.

"She must be so scared all alone".

"We'll find her", Twilight said. "We did last time and we'll find her again. With you around, we know we will. Everything is going to be okay. You just have to believe it".

Applejack looked down at her sword. She sighed. "Ah can't help but worry. This is the second time she was taken. Ah can't imagine what she's goin through".

"Guys", Flash suddenly said, coming to an abrupt stop.

The others stopped as well.

"What is it??", Twilight asked.

They all looked past Flash. They had arrived.

"Woah", Applejack said.

It was a giant fortress. It was no castle. Applejack looked around in the dark. She immediately saw guards stationed around the fortress, their distinct glow hard to miss in the darkness.

"Guards", she said, in a panic. "Get down".

She grabbed Twilight and Pinkie and hid. They all immediately got low to the ground, making sure to his where they wouldn't be seen.

Twilight sat up against a tree. They all looked at each other. What now??

"How do we get past them??", she asked quietly.

"I'd volunteer to cause a distraction", Flash said, "but I know where the others are being held so I have to go".

"I have an idea", the king spoke up. "I can use my magic to create a beast that'll require all those guards to fight it. Then we make a run for it".

"Any other ideas??", Applejack asked, looking around. "Goin' once........goin twice......".

"Alright", Twilight said. "Let's get ready. Remember, once we run, don't say or do anything that'll attract attention".

"You mean other than running across an open field with fairies that glow like these lanterns in the dark??", Applejack said, smirking.

"Shut up", Twilight said, grinning, "this is no time to joke and you know it, although you do have a point".

The night was quiet and still. The guards glanced around boredly. Nothing had happened all day. They were itching for something to do.

One of the guards spotted something out of the corner of his eye. He turned his head.

"What the....".

His eyes widened.

"Guys. Look!".

Any guard in hearing range looked at him. He pointed at something. All guards turned to see what he was pointing at.

They gasped.

A winged beast was roaming around.

"Cmon!!", one of the guards exclaimed. "I've waiting for this all day!!".

All the guard within seeing range flew towards the beast, swords and shields ready. The beast saw them and roared. The men and the beast battled.

As the men were occupied, they failed to notice the group of fairies and humans run by undetected in the fortress.

The beast backed down. It began to retreat into the forest.

The man chased it away.

"And stay out!", one shouted.

The men looked at each other.

"Good work. Let's get back to our stations. Have to keep watch".

They walked in silence. The quiet long halls gave a rather eerie feel to the place. The halls were huge, the ceilings were high but well lit.

Applejack, Pinkie, and Twilight looked at each other.

"This place is huge", Applejack whispered. "How're we gonna find anyone??".

"Trust me", Flash whispered. "I know the way".

The group came to an intersection.

"This way", Flash said, pointing right.

"Let's hurry", Applejack. "The longer we're here, the bigger the chance we'll get caught".

The group walked quickly down the hall, all on high alert. The stone hallway seemed to go on forever.

"Guys", Twilight suddenly said. "Do you hear that??".

They all listened. They heard voices.

"Ah hear it", Applejack said. "Let's go see what it. Look".

Applejack pointed at what looked to be the end of the hallway.

"The hallway get bigger. Ah bet it's a room. Ah see light".

They all followed Flash down the hall. They came to the end of the hall. They came to a more open walk way. Flash peeked out.

"Guys", he said. "Get down but look. There's people down there".

Applejack, Twilight, and Pinkie got down. They crawled into the open walkway. The three hunters peeked over the side. Their eyes widened. They saw a bunch of fairies. Hundreds of them lined up in rows.

"Somethin bout this seems familiar", Applejack said to the others. "What in tarnation is goin' on down there??".

Her eyes scanned around the fairies. They were standing up straight, unmoving.

Then it clicked. "Mind control??".

The girls looked at each other. They looked back out at the open room below them.

"Guys look at that woman sitting on that throne", Twilight said.

Applejack and Pinkie saw what she was referring to. At the back of the room, on a high platform, sat a woman on a throne.

She had long black and neon green hair, pale skin. She also had wings. The woman seemed to obviously be the mastermind behind all this. She had guards on either side of her.

"That must the girl the king and Queen put in the orphanage but had her parents executed fir attemptin' ta assassinate em".

"Remember the girl that was impersonating Rainbow??".

Applejack made a "hmp" sound. "How could we firget??".

"Well", Twilight continued. "She said that her mistress was going to use Rainbow as a big part of her plan. That must be her mistress".

"She must be planning' ta use those fairies to take over other kingdoms", Applejack figured. "But why would Rainbow be a big part of her plan??".

"Would you like to ask her yourself??".

The girls froze at the new voice. They slowly turned around, their eyes widening. Guards stood there, smirking.

The girls looked at each other. Uh oh.
