The doors flew open. Applejack, Twilight, and Pinkie ran into the room.

The king and queen laid in bed, doctors and physicians and servants around them.

"We came as soon as we could", Applejack said. "What's wrong??".

One of the doctors looked up at the girls. He walked up to him.

"His majesties are ill. They are too weak to leave the bed".

"I just don't get it", Twilight said, crossing her arms in thought.

"What is a sickness that could cause this??. How can a mysterious illness just show up like this??".

"Have ya'll seen Professor Bookssmart??", Applejack asked.

"I saw him in the village today while I was making the morning watch", one of the gaurds spoke up. "He was heading to the towns library".

Applejack nodded. "Thanks".

She looked at Twilight and Pinkie.

"Let's go find him".

"Wait".

The three turned and looked at the king and queen. The queen st rugged to sit up.

"Your majesty", one of the doctors said. "You mustn't strain yourself".

The girls walked over to the queen's side of the bed. The other adults moved out of their way. The hunters stood beside the queen.

"Please", the queen said weakly.
"My husband told me what happened at the festival".

Queen Eden reached a hand out and took Applejack's hand.

"Please", she said, her eyes tearing up. "Find my baby. Bring her back. We've lost her once. We can't bear to lose her again".

Applejack smiled. "We will your majesty. Ah'll do everything in mah power ta get her back".

Queen Eden smiled. "I know you will girls".

She went into a coughing fit. She laid down. The king took her hand comfortingly.

"We should go", Applejack said. "We need ta find Professor Bookssmart".

The girls nodded. They turned and hurried out of the room. They closed the door behind them. Turning around, they gasped.

Three men stood there. They wore black and green uniform. Their wings were sharp. The men looked pale. Applejack thought they looked alot like stormknights. But that was impossible.

She looked around. She gasped. The guards that were guarding the doors were unconscious. The blonde looked back at the men. This wasn't good.

"Hello ladies", the biggest of the three said.

Applejack took out her sword. She put on a brave face.

"You don't scare us", she said.

The man smirked. "No??. Well maybe this will".

He whistled. The girls looked at eachother. Suddenly they heard a roar. A creature flew around the corner. They gasped. It was the creature that attacked the kingdom and their village. The beast landed before the men, tall and monstrous.

"Not that thing again", Pinkie whined.
The men chuckled.

"Well. You're out numbered", the leader of the trio said. "Go in quietly and noone gets hurt".

Applejack looked around. She knew there was no way out of this. They had to surrender.

"Fine".

Applejack dropped her sword. She heard the girls' weapons clank on the floor. Applejack raised her hands above her head. She couldn't believe she was doing this.

"Good. You complied", one of the other men said. "Now let's go".

The girls were grabbed and bound with ropes. The group went into the bedroom, the door opening loudly. All the doctor fairies turned and gasped. The gaurds took out their swords.

The men looked around grinning. The king and queen sat up weakly. The king's face was hard as a stone and emotionless.

The queen gasped and clung to her husband.

"You're all coming with us", the leader of the three said. "Avalen is being overthrown. My lady will certainly be pleased with seeing you again king lightening".

The king looked down in defeat.

"You're majesty", one of the physicians said quietly.

"What is he talking about??".

"No time for story time", the ldark fairy said. He fluttered off the ground. He smirked evilly.

Pinkie and Twilight looked at eachother in fear. This wasn't happening. They looked to Applejack. The blonde had a hard stone face. They knew then and there and that this was happening and there was no stopping it.

"Nuhh!!".

Applejack yanked on the chains. She grunted and twisted and pulled.

"Applejack", Twilight said from the other corner of the large cell room.

"They aren't going to come off. Now stop it before you get hurt".

Applejack shook her head and pulled.

"We have ta get out of here. We have ta find Rainbow".

Applejack's muscles ached. She had been trying for I've half an hour. She cried out in pain.

"Ow!!".

Applejack released the chain and looked at her hands. They were bright red and burned. She sighed and sat down. The chains clanked every time her feet moved.

"What are we gunna do??", Pinkie asked. "We're prisoners".

Applejack sighed. "Ah don't know. But we are gett'n outta here. Ah just need time ta think. Only Celestia knows what's outside this castle. The rest of Avalen is being taken over".

It was true. After being taken captive, the men had forced them to watch as other fairies with dark and scary creatures raided and destroyed the town. A few fairies were killed. These dark fairies had no mercy.

It was sickening to watch. Applejack was just glad that Rainbow wasn't there to see it. It would have traumatized the princess.

Applejack felt her heart sink at the thought of the princess. She was worried about her. They all were. Was Rainbow okay??. Was she hurt or sick??. Were her captors torturing her or left her in a prison cell alone and afraid??.

All these questions ran through her head. Applejack shook the thoughts o it of her head. She had to stay focused.

First get out and then figure out where to find Rainbow.

Applejack looked at the queen. The woman was very sick. She was shivering and coughing. Applejack could tell she had a fever. It hurt to watch the woman suffer. Once again Applejack was glad that Rainbow wasn't there to see such a sight. She didn't think Rainbow would be able to handle it.

"We mustn't give up. We must stay strong", the queen rasped out, her voice dry and cracking from the coughing.

The girls looked at her. The queen was shaking. Her hair was out of place. The men had taken her crown as well.

"She's right", Twilight said. "Let's all get some rest. It'll do us good. We'll think of a plan tomorrow. I know we will".

Applejack nodded. She laid down on the hard stone floor. She used her arm as a pillow. Her ribs were pressed on by the floor. She knew they would be sore tomorrow. But it would just have to do. Just until they got out. Just until then.
