27. FEAR
- Here they are. Look there! Across the street. - With that, MinYoung pointed at the workshop.
The dark-haired vampire looked in the direction indicated. They were in a car that his assistant parked a few meters from one of the car garages on the outskirts of the city. It was a bit less frequented part of Seoul, but still the workshop looked well maintained and seemed to be doing well.
In the background he noticed several mechanics working on replacing the tires of one of the cars left by the customer. On the other side, a man in a navy blue overalls was just sliding under a red Audi to probably investigate the cause of the fault. The vampire watched for a moment how everything goes in its natural rhythm, then he sat back comfortably in his place and moved his lazy gaze at the sign with the name of the owner.
Jeon.
The name seemed strangely familiar to him, but he couldn't remember where and under what circumstances he had heard it. It wasn't one of the most popular Korean names like Park or Kim, but maybe he just once met someone with that name. However, since he couldn't remember it, he thought that it was probably a meaningless acquaintance.
He narrowed his eyes and looked carefully at the strangers pointed to by the man next to him. On the opposite side of the driveway, he saw a boy and a girl who were apparently talking about some car parts. The Korean woman was small but very pretty. She had long dark hair and a cheerful smile. Her look was extremely gentle.
- That girl? - He asked, carefully watching the little brunette.
- No. Not her. Him. - The man replied pointing at the boy.
The vampire looked at him curiously. Him? Intrigued, he measured the stranger from head to toe. The boy was slim, but his body was certainly athletic. He was dressed in a plain white T-shirt, torn jeans on his legs, and a leather jacket on his arms that emphasized his strong shoulders. Even in such a simple dress he looked very appetizing.
He slowly moved his eyes to his face and carefully traced his jaw line, smooth, milky skin and raspberry lips. What definitely attracted his attention was a beautiful smile and large, dark eyes that now closely watched the little brunette.
He had to admit that the boy was really handsome, even though he liked women more. During his vampire life he happened to taste male several times, but he definitely preferred the fairer sex. Apparently, V decided to slightly diversify his repertoire and also taste a little testosterone. Looking at the stranger, he wasn't too surprised.
- Hmmm. He's pretty hot. I hate V but I must admit that he always had good taste. - He finally assessed after a moment of silence and smiled. - And she?
- This girl's name is Suran something... It seems that V has been dating her for some time. I saw them together several times, but apparently the blonde prefer dicks. - The driver went on, laughing slightly under his breath.
The vampire did not comment on his reaction, only listened carefully, still not taking his eyes off the couple standing on the opposite side of the street.
The boy joked something and the girl laughed heartily, putting a hand on his shoulder. Her laughter was sweet as a ripe fruit and extremely sonorous. They seemed to know each other quite well. They were both free and natural. They looked so carefree.
What a pity they don't know what awaits them. - Jin thought and smiled to himself at that thought.
- He is dating him now. As far as I know they're dating for some time now. I even saw them kissing. It looks like this young man is totalny whipped by him. And V probably also. This boy is the first person with whom the blond spends so much time. Earlier only some fleeting acquaintances appeared. From what I saw, usually some one night stands.
- That's even better. The more V cares for him, the more he will suffer... - Jin replied.
A smile crept over his lips. The very thought of it made him happy. He wanted to see V writhing in pain. He wanted the blond man to tear his hair out of despair and watch the people he loves slowly go away.
One after the other.
He leaned back more comfortably in his seat and watched the boy standing in front of him for a moment in silence. He wondered if V was thinking of him now. Perhaps he was waiting for the younger to come to him. How long will it take before he realizes something is wrong? Will he know that he is behind this? Will he be afraid? Will not be able to breathe? Just the thought of it made him feel excited.
After a few minutes, the observed boy finally said goodbye to the girl and got into the car. When he started, the vampire told his driver to follow him, and he obediently started the engine, which woke to life with a quiet murmur.
- Just drive carefully. He can't see us because he can realize it's me. I don't know how much V told him. - He recommended and put his sunglasses on again.
He lowered the window on the passenger side and let the rays of the sun caress his face, warming his milky skin. A pleasant, gentle breeze was blowing in through the open window, blowing his dark hair. He closed his eyes and relished the carefree moment. He was calm. He wasn't worried about what would happen next. On the contrary, he couldn't wait. He couldn't believe that this long-awaited moment had finally arrived.
They rode for a long time, keeping the distance all the time. If V told him about him, the boy could recognize him. Because of that stupid vampire, he had this hideous, unsightly scar on his face. When he finally seizes it, he will repay him. In his head, he could almost see the red-hot blade of his dagger marking that caramel skin of the vampire. Would V scream in pain when the blade cut through this flawless skin? Would he ask him to stop? Would he writhe in pain like when he was locked in his cage?
It was enough for him to close his eyes, and under his eyelids appeared the image of the vampire's face, contorted in pain. He could almost hear V screaming that Yura would not inject liquid silver into him. He felt a pleasant excitement at this memory. He loved this feeling of power. He was almost like God. One nod of his finger could decide about his death or salvation. He wanted to feel that way again.
They were driving for a long time, when suddenly the boy stopped. He got out of the car and disappeared into a small shop. He did shopping and after a few minutes moved on. After about forty minutes, he finally stopped in front of the small building. He got out of the car and opened the trunk to take shopping and parts for the car, which he took from the workshop.
- He seems to live here or at least it looks like he is saying here sometimes. Perhaps he is visiting someone. I saw him come here before. - The driver explained and also stopped their car.
The vampire nodded that he understood. He didn't care if anyone else was in the apartment, or whether it was really his home. It didn't matter. Even if ten other people lived there, they were no threat or obstacle to him. He would be able to kill them all in the blink of an eye.
- Give me a cellphone! - He demanded.
His voice was cold as usual, devoid of any emotion. Under the influence of his words, the driver almost jumped in place. Jin heard his heart beating chaotically. People are such pathetic beings. So little is enough to scare them. And even less is needed to destroy them.
The man pulled a new cellphone from the glove box and turned it on, then handed it to the vampire. He took it without a word and slipped it into his pants pocket. He took off his glasses and slipped them into the collar of his shirt, then grabbed a small black box lying next to him in the seat and put it on his lap.
He took a deep breath and ran his long fingers over the surface as gently as if he caressed the skin of his lover, then carefully opened it. A beautifully decorated dagger appeared to his dark eyes. It had been with him for many years. It once belonged to his grandfather. Then to his father. It was passed on in his family from generation to generation. When his father handed it over to him, he didn't even know what it would be serving him for later. At that time he didn't even know what his son would soon become.
Would he be proud of him now? Of course not.
He looked at the dagger, almost with tenderness painted on his face. The blade still glowed beautifully, as if it had been forged only yesterday. The ornate handle was lined with rubies, which Yura loved so much. He felt a strange twinge at the memory of the girl. So many years have passed since her death and he still loved her.
Soon, my sweetheart - he thought. Soon he would avenge her like he had sworn it almost eighty years ago. He will take away everything V loves and finally kill him. Before he does so, however, he wants the vampire to experience suffering he has never felt before. At that thought a smile crept over his lips.
He looked with determination on his face through the car window at the boy who was just entering the building with purchases in his arms and opened the car door.
- You may not wait for me, it will take a while. - He tossed to the driver and put the dagger behind his belt, then got out of the car and slammed the door behind him.
He ran across the street and entered the building, inside of which the boy just disappeared. There was no elevator inside, so he started up the stairs, still clearly hearing the boy's footsteps. When he heard the sound of keys, he started up faster.
It did not take a few seconds, and he stood in front of the door, which was only a few centimeters short, to close it for good. He put out his hand quickly, stopping it from snapping into place. Confused boy, don't knowing what had stopped them, tried to push them harder. In response, the vampire pushed them hard inside, opening them with impetus. The boy almost fell over under the influence of their pressure. However, he managed to balance himself, although his purchases slipped from his hands and scattered to the ground around his feet.
He looked up in surprise, but what he saw made his blood run cold. His pupils dilated immediately, and his heart began to swing chaotically in his chest like a trapped bird. At this sound the vampire only smiled charmingly, realizing that the boy recognized him.
- Jin... - whispered the younger in a scared voice and instinctively began to back away.
Seeing this, the vampire smiled even wider, then laughed venomously. His laughter was artificial and forced, sound cold. After a moment, suddenly he had a poker face, as if someone suddenly switched the button and changed his mood in a few seconds. Jin tilted his head to the side and studied the boy standing in front of him. His fast beating heart was like music to his sensitive ears. He loved to feel someone else's fear.
- You don't even know how nice it is to finally meet you, son... - He finally said in a cold voice. He entered the apartment and closed the door behind him with a strong kick.
***
V looked at his screen again, still nervously playing with the phone he was holding. He was sitting in the kitchen of his apartment, on a bar stool, staring at the display. He moved his legs nervously, slamming the sole of his shoes against the legs of the chair. Jimin, Yoongi and Hobi were sitting on the sofas in his living room playing a game together. Every now and then screams of joy or disappointment came to his ears when one of them won or lost their clash, but his mind couldn't even register it.
Jungkook would come to him tonight. That's what he promised him when they said goodbye this morning in his workshop. It was already after an hour of their training, the boy was almost an hour late. V knew that sometimes the car repair took a long time, the boy often came to training well after time, but this time he felt an inexplicable anxiety, which he could not control, as if he felt in his bones that something bad was going to happen today.
Jin recently gave no sign of life, perhaps because of this, V was convinced that it was calm before the storm. He had tried to call his boyfriend three times, but he did not answer the phone. It seemed that his phone was down or was specially turned off. Since they started dating, this has never happened. They both knew well what it meant to be afraid of someone they loved, so they made sure that the other knew what was happening to him. All the more so in the face of what happened with Jin. This time, however, the phone was silent and his text messages were left unanswered.
V pressed his lips tightly into the narrow line and lit the display again to see if he had missed a message, but the inbox was still empty. Almost instinctively, he displayed the call history and stared at the tender nickname under which he entered Jungkook's number on his phone.
Baby doll.
It's funny, but he called that contact like that a few months ago, when he finally managed to get the brunet's number. If then the boy knew that under this nickname appears in his phone, he would probably be very surprised. Now this affectionately term was their everyday life, and V absolutly loved the taste of this noun, rolling off his tongue.
V highlighted his name again. The last time he dialed his number less than fifteen minutes ago. For a moment his thumb wandered around the green icon of the phone. He couldn't decide if he should press it. Unable to bear it any longer, he dialed the boy's number again and put the phone to his ear.
Hearing a continuous tone in the handset, he wanted to throw it to the other end of the apartment, but only clamped his hand tightly on it. He couldn't bear not knowing what's going on anymore. He quickly searched the internet for Jungkook's workshop number and dialed it on the telephone's keypad. Only two short beeps were needed this time, and Suran's sweet voice was heard on the other side.
- Jeon's workshop, how can I help you?
- Suran, it's me. V. - He said quickly, feeling his anxiety grow even more.
He quietly hoped that Jungkook would answer the phone and say that something was prolonged and that he was coming to him. He couldn't help but feel bitterness of disappointment at the melodious voice of Suran on the other side. However, disappointment was accompanied by a growing feeling of anxiety. Although he was afraid to say it out loud, he almost felt under his skin that something must have happened. He was silent, however, as if afraid that the formed words would make the threat more real.
- Is Jungkook still in the workshop? - He asked quickly.
- Jungkook? No, he's not here. I thought he said he was coming to you... - The girl replied, clearly surprised by his question.
- Suran, when did he leave?
- I'm not sure... V, don't scare me. Something happened?
Suran was clearly nervous now. V squeezed his hand harder and licked his lips, which under the influence of nerves became unbearably dry.
- Suran, please, focus. Tell me when did he leave? This is very important. An hour ago, half? When? - He asked.
Suran ran her hand through her long hair, trying to gather her thoughts. She remembered that Jungkook had finished repairing one customer's car, took a shower and drove away. She remembered that when they were saying goodbye in front of the workshop, she could hear the match broadcasting on television in the background. Instinctively, she looked at the television. The match was coming to an end...
- V, it was over an hour and a half ago...
- Fuck! - V swore instinctively before he could bite his tongue.
He didn't want to upset the girl more than he could, but even though he couldn't see her, he knew she was trembling. He wished he could calm her with his vampire abilities, but that was the least important at the moment.
- Listen, my apartment is about half an hour away, maybe forty minutes at most away from the workshop. Jungkook should have been here a long time ago. Did he say anything before he left? Was he going somewhere along the way? To visit someone? I know you're worried, but focus. Maybe you missed something...
There was complete silence on the other side of the phone for a moment. V knew that the girl was trying to control stress and collect her thoughts, but every passing second was like hell on earth. He wanted to grab her by the shoulders and shake her to finally tell him something. Anything to help him determine where Jungkook is.
- H-he was supposed to go to one of our clients. Yes. For sure. Before leaving, he took some part to the car and said that he would drop it on the way. He is an older man, our regular customer. He knows Jungkook since he was a little boy. His wife died two years ago and has been all alone ever since. Jungkook sometimes fixes something at his home or helps with shopping. Now I think something broke in his car...
- Okay, good. Where does he live? This client... Do you know his name? Do you have any contact with him? - He kept asking, trying to keep his voice from revealing how scared he was.
- I don't know where he lives, but from what Jungkook said, it's somewhere along the way. He said it would take maybe fifteen minutes. I don't remember his last name, but maybe if I look through the bills, I can find something. I probably should have a contact phone. - She explained in a slightly calmer voice.
- Good, Suran. Listen to me carefully. Everything is gonna be okay? - He said in a low, calm voice. He wasn't sure if he was trying to calm her or himself. - Check the books, if you find his phone, call and check if Jungkook was with him. I will try to find out where he is. I'll let you know if I find out something.
- I'll check it out. - She answered weakly, after which the connection broke.
V dialed Jungkook's number again. He waited a few ruthlessly long signals, but the boy still did not answer. Resigned, he hung up and put the phone on the counter in front of him, while gazing at it with such intensity that he almost burned a hole in it.
He stared at it in silence for the next few minutes, as if the intensity of his gaze wanted to force the phone to finally call. As he sat there thoughtfully, he jumped up in a split second to the sound of his cell phone. He grabbed it almost at the speed of light and looked at the display in the hope that it was Jungkook. It wasn't him, however. The number on the display was restricted.
He licked his lips nervously and answered the phone with a trembling hand. Without saying anything, he put the phone to his ear. For a moment there was almost complete silence.
- We haven't seen each other for so long and you won't even say hello? - Suddenly asked the voice on the other side of the phone.
V felt sick. If his heart was still beating, it would now pound in his chest like crazy. In an instant everything came back to him. All memories of torture, which he tried so hard to erase all these years. Fear, pain...
- What do you want, Jin? - He asked, gritting his teeth tightly.
The room was completely silent at the sound of the vampire's name. His friends eyes turned to him immediately. V gripped his phone tightly, breathing heavily.
- Oh my, why so rude? Are you not happy to hear me? - That said, Jin laughed into the phone.
- I'm not going to play your game. What do you want from me?! - V repeated.
His voice sounded strangely foreign. He had the impression that he wasn't talking to him, but someone else, as if suddenly everything was rolling next to him, and he was watching it through the glass. He heard only his loud breath, which almost echoed in his ears.
- It just so happens that I think I have something that belongs to you and I thought that maybe you would like to get it back... - He explained mysteriously.
Although V could not see him, he could have sworn that the vampire's lips curved into a smile. He clenched his left fist harder, digging his nails into the palm of his hand. The way Jin talked to him irritated him. He wanted to finish this conversation as soon as possible.
- Jin, I won't play with you. If you don't tell me what you want, I'll just hang up. - He threatened, and Jin just laughed louder.
- Oh V, I think you made a mistake. I pull the strings in this game, and you have to dance to my tune...
- Goodbye, Jin. - Saying that, he moved the phone away from his ear.
He was about to hang up when he heard something that almost made the ground slip from under his feet.
- If you hang up now, you won't see your boyfriend again! - Jin snapped into the phone.
V felt as if someone had suddenly pumped all the air out of the room. And although he didn't need to breathe as a vampire, he felt he would suffocate. With a shaking hand, he put the phone back to his ear. On the other side, he heard Jin's loud laughter.
- Hahhaha, I knew we would get along...
- I swear if at least one hair falls off his head... If you hurt him... I will find you, although it would take me a million years and I will snatch your heart with my bare hands... - He threatened, clenching his left hand into a fist so hard that his knuckles turned white, and he felt the pain in the skin cut through his nails.
- Why so dramatic? I just wanted to get to know him a little better. I didn't think you liked people now. And that you are into boys now. Although I must admit that this boy is quite handsome and has a nice body. I would like to try it myself... Maybe I should have some fun with him for a while, huh?
- Don't you even dare to touch him, understand !? - V growled again.
He was furious but also terrified. He's never been so scared in his life. The knowledge that Jin has Jungkook, that he could hurt him... Just the thought of it made his stomach contents go up his throat.
- Oh, I see you probably really care about him. I have to admit it's brave of you. I would never get involved with a human being. You invest so much in him and his life is so fragile... I can just snap my fingers and your loved one will disappear. Now his fate is in my hands. What irony...
- Jin, we both know exactly what you really want. - He said suddenly, interrupting his argument.
He knew him well enough to know what it was all about. When V killed Yura, Jin swore revenge. Now he came back to fulfill his promise. They both knew it well.
V ran his fingers through his hair and looked at his friends who, hearing his conversation, gathered in the kitchen next to him. His eyes met Jimin's worried look. The blond vampire, guessing what V might say right now, instinctively began to shake his head in this way, asking him not to. V, however, regardless of what his friend wanted to tell him, opened his mouth and said what Jimin was most afraid of.
- Me. - He added a moment of silence. - Tell me where you want to meet and we'll do an exchange. You will release him in exchange for me... You will get what you want so much and everyone will be satisfied. It will all end today...
- Do you really think it's that simple, V? That you'll come here and I'll just kill you and it will be over? Yes, I want to kill you. You don't even know how much, but there is something I want even more. Do you know what this is? - Jin asked.
V felt goose bumps all over his body. He wanted to say something, but words got stuck in his throat.
- I want you to feel pain you have never felt before... I want you to suffer... - Saying that, Jin's voice was colder than ever before.
- Jin, do what you want with me, but I'm begging you, don't hurt him. He has nothing to do with it. He never did anything to you, it's all my fault. Innocent people do not have to suffer because of it...
- It's weird that you try so hard for someone who means nothing to you... Unless you really fell in love with him... Do you love him, V?
- It doesn't matter. He has nothing to do with us. It's a matter between you and me.
- You're wrong, V! You took the woman I loved. It all comes down to this moment. Do you love him? And I advise you to tell the truth if you ever want to see him alive again! - Jin growled again.
For a moment V felt as if he heard someone struggling in the background, as if trying to break free from the embrace and a muffled groan crept into his ears, as if one's mouth was covered with a hand or another gag. V was convinced that Jungkook was close enough that he could hear their conversation exactly and felt his throat tighten.
- I love him like no other ever before. - He confessed finally.
He felt pain in his heart at the thought that if everything ends up as Jin wants, most likely he had the opportunity to confess it for the last time. He knew that Jungkook could hear him and that there was no point in denying it. He had already shown Jin his affection, asking him to kill him, saving Jungkook. Denying this feeling will certainly not save his life. Jin wanted the boy to hear his confession.
- I was going to kill him, but since you love him so much, I'll give you one more chance. Listen carefully... - He ordered.
V felt his nervousness rising. He strained his hearing, convinced that Jin had invented something sick to turn up the game. After a while he heard another struggle and someone's muffled call. He felt that Jungkook was shouting "No, no" through the material that was gagging his lips. V tightened his hand on the phone. It seemed to him that Jin pulled the boy closer to him, gripping him in an iron grip.
- Now focus, V. Use your senses! - Jin said to the phone again.
Suddenly the screams increased. V knew something was wrong. He felt his throat tighten so much that he couldn't breathe anymore.
- Jin! Jin, please! - He shouted into the phone, unable to bear what he witnessed. - Please, don't hurt him...
His voice was almost a whisper, but V knew well that Jin could hear him perfectly. In response, he heard a muffled scream again, and after a moment something he hoped he would never hear. He couldn't mistake this sound for anything else.
- No! Jin! - He shouted again, feeling his hands start to tremble.
His perfect hearing easily registered the sound of a dagger cutting delicate skin and this characteristic guttural scratching when someone's throat cuts...
- No! - He moaned loudly, feeling like he's going to vomit soon.
- I just slit his throat, so you have about twenty minutes to save him... - Jin finally said into the phone. - I advise you to hurry up! - That said, he hung up.
V couldn't breathe. He felt as if he would suffocate, he looked at Jimin, who was looking at him with wide eyes. Others did not hear his entire conversation with Jin, but what they saw was enough to know that something bad had happened. V was as pale as ever. He looked like he saw a ghost or he was about to faint. He instinctively propped himself up against the table top to stay on his feet.
- V?! What happened?! - Jimin asked suddenly as he ran to his friend.
He took the phone from his hand that the vampire was still holding to his ear and, placing his hands on his cheeks, forced V to turn his face towards him. V looked up at him and their eyes met.
- W-We have to find him. Jungkook. He... J-Jin just cut his throat... - He finally choked out, then, without thinking for a long time, rushed towards the door.
He didn't know where to look for him. Jungkook left the workshop, there was no other place to look for him, but he had to try. His hands were shaking, he still couldn't breathe, he felt his throat tighten.
He couldn't lose him.
Using his abilities, he was downstairs in a few seconds. He heard the others running after him. He grabbed the door of the warehouse and opened it violently. He was about to run out of the warehouse when he suddenly ran into someone who was just trying to enter it. Instinctively, he looked up and froze...
Jungkook stood before him.
The boy was wearing a white T-shirt, which was dirty here and there with engine lubricant and bright, torn jeans, which, as usual, wonderfully fitted his athletic legs. His hands were also dirty, even on his right cheek V saw a delicate gray streak, but otherwise the boy was safe and sound.
V pulled him close and wrapped his arms around him tightly. His embrace was so strong that reflexively from the mouth of the brunet came a soft moan. The blonde's embrace was almost painful, but Jungkook reflexively embraced him aswell.
- What's going on? I was only an hour late and do I get such a greeting? - He asked surprised.
V looked at his face and, without saying anything, put their lips together in a tender kiss, snatching oxygen from his lungs. There was something wild and chaotic in his kiss, as if V was afraid that Jungkook would disappear somewhere. There were other, strange emotions in him that the younger had never seen before, but the kiss was extremely tender, as if the vampire wanted to prove to him how much he loved him.
- I was furious because my motorcycle broke down on the way and my cell phone died, but as every time I will receive such a greeting, let it break every day! He said with a smile on his lips when V finally pulled his lips away from him.
Jungkook looked at his boyfriend's face with a smile on his face, but when their eyes met, his smile paled. Even this short moment was enough for the brunet to know that something must have happened in his absence. V was pale than usual, his eyes were almost wet with tears. The blond reached out his hands and embraced the face of brunet. Jungkook felt the boy tremble.
- I thought I would never see you again... - V finally whispered. - Jin called me and said he had my boyfriend and... I heard your scream... I... Jesus, I-I heard him cut your throat...
- V, what are you saying? How could you hear... - Jungkook started and it was then V realized what had happened.
The vampire paled again and instinctively raised a hand to his mouth, covering them in shock. He looked at the younger man's face, slowly letting his thoughts form into words.
- Jackson. - He said panicked. - We have to go to Jackson quickly! - He shouted, then without waiting for their reaction, rushed towards his motorcycle.
Everything was clear now. Jin or someone he sent must have seen them together. Recently, V has often seen him, perhaps it was him who was taken as his boyfriend. There was no other option.
Only seconds passed and V got on his motorcycle. Jungkook sat on the saddle behind him, letting the blond man start the engine and start screeching the tires before putting on the helmet well. He knew well that every second counted now. Others jumped into Yoongi's car and followed in their footsteps.
V rode as fast as his motorcycle would allow, passing all the red lights. The regulations were not relevant now. He couldn't let Jin win. And more importantly, he couldn't let Jackson die.
Fortunately, the boy's apartment was only a few minutes away, so pressing the accelerator, he was outside Jackson's house in less than ten minutes. He stopped the motorcycle and, without waiting for Jungkook or the others, ran across the street and ran into a four-story block.
V had been here several times before, so he knew the way to the boy's apartment well. Jackson lived on the top floor. He was climbing stairs of 3 or even 4 steps at one time, feeling his throat tightening with each subsequent floor. There was a rumble in his ears. When he ran to the top floor, he hurried toward the door.
He wanted to knock on them, but it was enough that he lightly touched them with his hand, and they spontaneously opened. He uncertainly opened it harder. There were scattered purchases at the doorstep. It looked as if someone had dropped the shopping bag as soon as they entered the apartment. V quickly went inside and immediately saw the signs of a fight. There was an overturned cabinet in the corridor. The blond man walked over it and almost instinctively headed towards the living room. He could feel the scraping of glass under his shoes, which was covering the whole floor. Before he crossed the threshold of the room well, he felt the characteristic metallic smell of blood. He looked around carefully and finally saw it. In the depths of the room on the ground, he noticed someone's legs clad in black tight jeans and black shoes.
- Jackson! - He shouted and in a second jumped to the boy, kneeling beside him on the ground.
The blond man was lying on the living room floor, almost bathed in a pool of blood. His both hands clenched his throat, which was still bleeding, blood leaking through his fingers. He was breathing hard, fighting for every breath that left his cut throat with a loud chuckle. His white T-shirt was soaked with crimson.
- Oh Jesus, Jackson... - he whispered, looking at the blond's pale face.
The boy looked at him pleadingly slightly hazy. His pulse was very weak, V knew that the blond would bleed out in a moment. Feeling the metallic smell of blood, he felt a tightness in his stomach, and his guts almost in his throat.
- V-V... - Jackson started barely saying his name.
One of his hands almost instinctively grabbed the vampire's shirt, leaving a red streak on his neck. V felt the viscosity of a scarlet liquid, slowly drying out on his caramel skin. The shaking fingers of the blond gently tightened on the thin fabric, as if he wanted V to pay attention to him.
- D-don't let... - He choked out with difficulty.
He was having a hard time talking, so V showed him not to say anything more and stroked his platinum hair with his hand, trying to calm him down.
Suddenly the others came into the apartment. Jungkook stood in the doorway of the living room and moaned quietly, automatically covering his mouth at the sight of Jackson almost sinking in a pool of blood. V could hear his heart beating strongly and fastly under the influence of adrenaline and nervousness, contrasting with the increasingly weak heartbeat of the boy lying on the floor. Without taking his eyes off the hand of the blond, still clenching his throat, V pulled his body higher so that his head lay on his thighs and stroked his cheek gently, trying to calm him.
- I will not let that. - He replied, knowing full well what the younger was asking for.
Jungkook looked at him closely, approaching them carefully and slowly, as if he was afraid to startle the wild animal. The others kept their distance. Hobi covered his mouth with his jacket sleeve to reduce the smell of fresh blood. Jimin and Yoongi also tried not to breathe to reduce the thirst for blood in them. Jungkook could see how hard it was for them to stand still when the whole room was almost saturated with its scent. He himself felt the metallic taste in his mouth.
V raised a hand to his lips and without hesitation ripped the skin on his wrist with his fangs, then without delay he put it to Jackson's mouth. The blond released his bloody throat and gripped the vampire's hand tightly, drinking his blood greedily.
Jungkook watched everything closely with a fast beating heart. He saw what a terrible state Jackson was in. He wasn't stupid, he knew that only minutes, maybe even seconds separated him from death. He didn't know if V's blood could save him. Could the vampire's blood save anyone so near to death?
V suddenly pulled his hand away and stroked Jackson's cheek again gently. Jungkook felt a strange twinge and hated himself that even at such a moment he felt jealous of the vampire's tenderness. Scolding himself, he looked down.
- Easy now, Jackson... You can let it go... - With that saying, V began to run his hand over the bleached hair of the younger.
Jungkook raised his eyebrow, surprised by the words of his boyfriend. He didn't quite understand what was going on. He looked at Jackson's face and saw that the boy nodded gently, then took his hand from his throat. A short, torn breath escaped from his mouth, then the blond froze.
Jungkook felt his pulse speed up. He took a few steps forward, approaching V. Now they were only centimeters apart. Brunet looked at Jackson, who now lay with no signs of life, on the thighs of his boyfriend.
- D-does he? - He asked scared.
V looked up at him and their eyes met.
- He's dead. - V replied. - He lost too much blood before we came here to save him. Jin knew full well that I wouldn't be able to do it. He wanted the boy I love to bleed out in my arms...
Jungkook took a deep breath, feeling the guts come to his throat.
- If you knew you wouldn't heal him, why... Why did you give him your blood? - He asked uncertainly, and when he said the words out loud, the meaning of Jackson's words came to him.
The boy knew he would die. He did not ask V to heal him.
He asked him to change him.
Jungkook felt his heart speed up even faster. He looked at V again.
- Yes. I gave him my blood to change him. - He confirmed briefly, looking him straight in the eyes with his flawless blue irises.

Ayashee:
Ho ho ho!
Finally another chapter. Unfortunately, not very festive and probably most of you will want to strangle me that I leave you in such a suspension for Christmas, but I promise that I will try to upload another chapter this year.
I hope that despite the heavier topics you still liked the chapter and that I didn't scare you too much that Jin actually got our beloved Kook.
Aś always, I'm waiting for your opinions and thoughts!
To be a good girl I am working hard on the next chapter and I wish you a Merry Christmas!
xoxo
