16. YURA

When they arrived, the day was almost over. V parked the motorcycle and pulled off his helmet. He felt his pulse speed up, reflexively clenched his hands on the steering wheel to control their tremor. He closed his eyes and tried to focus on Jungkook's rhythmic heartbeat and the warmth of his body still pressed to his back. After a while, the dark man put his hands out from under his leather jacket and dismounted from the motorcycle, thus forcing him to open his eyes again. He quickly got up from his saddle and slipped his hands into the pockets of his black jeans so that no one would notice them trembling. He looked at Jungkook, who pulled off his helmet and, holding it in his right hand, looked around curiously. They were on a hill with a beautiful view of the city.

- It's so beautiful here... - Jungkook said, looking at the sun going down. The last rays colored the sky pink and orange, making the place seem even more magical. The boy surreptitiously looked at V, who watched the view in silence. His lips were pressed tightly, as if he were tense. Jungkook looked curiously at his face and was surprised to see that the vampire seemed more pale than usual. He felt irrational anxiety growing in him. He opened his mouth to say something, but gave up when suddenly Yoongi's car drove up the hill. The vampire parked and after a while joined them with Jimin and Hobi.

- I called Namjoon to let him know we were here. He should be here soon. - He explained briefly and looked around. - A bit of a strange place to hide a corpse... - He threw a grimace on his face.

- Hi guys! - A familiar voice suddenly greeted. Everyone looked ahead, and Namjoon appeared to their eyes. The man was dressed in dark pants and a navy blue jacket. A police badge was attached to his belt. Namjoon took off his sunglasses and greeted each of them in turn, giving them a hand in greeting. - I'm glad you're here. Come with me. - He recommended and started forward.

The rest followed in silence. They did not go far, it was enough to just walk a few meters, and their eyes appeared to a police team, collecting the smallest traces around the crime scene.

- V, could you? - Namjoon asked suddenly, stopping and turning toward the vampire.

Jungkook looked at V with interest. He didn't quite know what the policeman was asking him for, but apparently he had no doubts about it when asked. Without a word, he moved forward and approached a group of policemen. He approached everyone in turn, telling them something, and they obediently left their duties and went near one of the police cars. After a moment, V turned to them and walked over to them again, hiding his hands in his pants pockets.

- Done, they won't remember anything. - He said in a low voice and smiled gently. Jungkook caught his eye for a moment, and it seemed to him that he saw something strange in it, but the vampire quickly shifted his gaze to the policeman, as if avoiding his eyes. - Let's get started. - He encouraged, and Namjoon started walking again. Everyone approached the place surrounded by yellow police tape.

- We got the notification about two hours ago. A couple went on a date here and they found him. - Namjoon started walking up to the tape. He bent down and went under it, and the rest did the same.

Jungkook looked around and saw that a few meters away from them, on the ground lay a corpse covered with a black body bag. He was grateful that he could not see the victim. He didn't feel ready to watch someone dead again. Instinctively he approached V, wanting to be closer to the one who always protected him. He knew it was stupid, after all, the corpse could not hurt him, yet he felt some irrational fear. Only when he stood so close to V that he could feel his overpowering smell did he feel a bit calming down. The blond, as if sensing his anxiety, took his right hand out of his pocket and gently touched his hand with his fingers, letting him know that he was close.

- What a moron abandons a corpse at a vantage point? - Yoongi asked, snorting sarcastically. - Someone doesn't watch crime series. Even children in elementary school would know that this is total stupidity.

- Earlier corpses were hidden in the woods and buried. They were found by accident, but it is different with these. As Yoongi says, even an idiot would know that someone would find him quickly. And I think this time it was about it. It is a place often frequented, the corpse was not even buried, it just lay there on top, waiting for someone to come and see it. This time the killer wanted someone to find him... - Namjoon paused and looked at the vampires. Jungkook felt his pulse speed up. Unable to resist, he surreptitiously looked at V. His lips were still tightened into a narrow line.

- It's a message... - V suddenly whispered. His voice sounded strangely weird. Everyone's eyes turned to him, and he felt he couldn't breathe. However, he did not want to show what impression these events had made on him.

- I think V is right. - Namjoon said suddenly, approaching the corpse. He crouched beside them and looked at the others, as if asking if they were ready. - That's why I wanted you to come here and see him. It looks like the last one, but maybe you will recognize the way the corpse is laid, its outfit, anything that will help us determine who is murdering them and why... - With that, he raised the black cover, revealing the blackened body.

Jungkook felt his insides rise to his throat and thanked God that he had no time to eat before arriving. He struggled for a moment to keep the stomach contents where it should stay, and then took a step forward to better look at the victim. The vampire's body looked like the corpse which Namjoon had shown to him and V a few weeks ago in Sin City. Jungkook didn't know how anyone would recognize him. The man looked like a victim of a great fire. Only the clothing was perfectly preserved, but it wasn't unusual. Jeans and a plain shirt. It could be anyone. Unable to bear this view any longer, he looked away and again looked at V. The vampire did not even look at the body stretched on the ground, his eyes fixed on a nearby bench, as if he was looking at someone who was sitting on it, although it was empty.

- Do any of you recognize him? Or his outfit? Anything? - Namjoon asked. Everyone present denied, and a soft sigh came from the policeman's mouth. He was convinced that he would hear such an answer, but he quietly hoped that maybe in some strange way, they would be able to move on with the investigation. Disgusted, he covered the body and stood up. - There is something else... - His voice suddenly became serious. Approaching the vampire group again, he reached with his right hand into his jacket pocket and palpated a small foil evidence bag. - In his mouth we found this... - With that, he drew the object in the open palm. Everyone looked at it curiously. Jungkook approached and looked at small bag. A ring was on Namjoon's hand. It looked quite old, but it was beautiful. Delicate, white gold created a beautiful, extremely original pattern. It almost looked like a small ivy curling around a finger. The whole was complemented by rubies. By the size of the ring, Jungkook was certain that it was definitely a woman's jewelry.

- Is that a wedding ring? - Yoongi snorted and Jimin took the foil in his small hands and looked at it closely.

- It is beautiful and looks old... I think hand-made... But I've never seen it before. - Jimin judged and put his hand in the direction of Hobie.

Jungkook reflexively looked at V. The vampire looked at Jimin's hand and quickly looked away. There was something strange in his eyes. The vampire looked like someone had caused him almost physical pain, but the impression lasted only a few seconds. When his eyes met Jungkook's, his face took on a soft but absent expression. As if his body was with them, but his mind somewhere far away.

- Eh, it's a shame. I was hoping that one of you would know something about it. Well, nothing... We'll examine the traces, maybe something more can be pulled out of it... - Namjoon said suddenly, tearing Jungkook out of thought.

All present exchanged a few more sentences and courtesies, then headed towards their cars. Jungkook could not gather his thoughts, he still felt this strange anxiety. He said goodbye to Yoongi, Jimin and Hobi and looked their car drove off. He turned to V and studied him carefully. The vampire stood silent, palms dangling into his pocket, and continued to stare at the bench at the very top of the hill. Jungkook came up to him and put a hand on his shoulder.

- V...- He whispered.

The vampire looked at him. His lips parted slightly, as if to say something to him, but no words left his mouth. Jungkook felt his anxiety rising again. Maybe others didn't notice, but he knew something was wrong. He knew V. He watched him closely. He approached him and faced the vampire. V looked away, as if afraid of confrontation. He had the impression that if he looked into those beautiful brown eyes of Jungkook at least once, he would have to tell the truth and did not know if he was ready for it. The boy reached out his hand to him, slipped his two fingers under the vampire's chin and lifted his face, forcing him to look at him.

- V... What's going on? - He asked.

There was something so protective in his voice that V wanted to cry for a moment. He felt his throat tighten. He hoped no one would notice a change in his behavior, but Jungkook seemed to see more than others. Maybe that's why he was drawn to him so much. Sometimes, when Jungkook looked at him with his beautiful, dark eyes, V felt as if the younger looked deep into his soul. And so it was also this time.

- You know who the wedding ring belonged to, right? - He finally asked, letting his fears form the simplest of questions.

Although this question was not easy at all. Because if V was to answer it, it meant that he was to reveal another fragment of his soul to Jungkook. Tell him something that no one else knew about... V licked his lower lip, feeling his body take over his anxiety again.

- V, you can trust me... - Whispered the younger, looking him straight in the eye. And V knew that Jungkook was telling the truth.

- This is the wedding ring that Yura got from me when I proposed to her on this bench at the top of the Hill... I made it for her myself... - He finally replied.

Jungkook felt a strange chest prick at this confession. He had heard that name before, but he did not know that things between V and this girl had gone so far. Does this mean that V is engaged or worse, that he has a wife? His throat tightened mercilessly. He lowered his hand and, not knowing what to do with his hands, slipped them into his pocket. He lowered his head, trying to control his emotions, then looked shyly at the vampire.

- A-are you... Are you and she... Are you together? - He finally asked quietly, feeling his cheeks flush. He felt a bit awkward asking the vampire about this relationship, because he had no right to ask him. Nothing was between them. The vampire didn't have to explain himself to him, and he had no right to be jealous. V's face softened at once. Jungkook could have sworn that the corners of the vampire's lips lifted slightly for a moment.

- No. We haven't been together for almost 80 years... - He replied. Jungkook was relieved at the vampire's words, but he still had thousands of questions in his head. V was a constant mystery to him that he wanted to solve.

- D-do you want to tell me about it? - He asked again before he could bite his tongue. Fortunately, the vampire didn't seem to care about his excessive curiosity.

- When I first saw her, I thought she was the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. She was tall and shapely, but what caught my eye was her amazing fiery red hair, almost to the waist, and those ridiculous lilac-colored contact lenses. She always wore them claiming that thanks to them her world takes on nicer colors. I think I fell in love with her right away. It was after my transformation, she was also a vampire.

We spent days, weeks, months together... Jimin and Hobi loved her too. Only Yoongi always claimed that he did not trust her. I was staring at her like a picture, she seemed to be just perfect, maybe even too perfect. Maybe I should have guessed that if it is so perfect, none of it is real... I should have known better... I guess I just wanted someone to love me and I wanted to believe that I deserved it... - V fell silent for a moment and looked Jungkook straight in the eye. There was so much suffering in the vampire's gaze that the boy wanted to grab him by the hand and pull him into his arms. - And although I knew it was crazy, I made that damn ring and took her here. When I proposed to her, Yura cried with happiness. She told me that she never loved anyone more. Then we returned home and literally did not leave the bed for several days. - V laughed briefly at the memory. - I was so damn happy. Suddenly eternity didn't seem so terrible... But then one day, instead of waking up in the morning in our bedroom, I woke up in a cell, chained like a dog... As it turned out later, Yura had a completely different vision of my future and she already had her beloved... His name was Jin.

They both came up with some sick plan to take over the world of people and vampires. Jin was about to test vampires, he wanted to know everything about them. He wanted to make people depentant on vampires so that they would only become puppets in his hands. To put his plan into action, he wanted to kidnap some old, strong vampires to test them. All my relationship with Yura... It was only to weaken me, put my vigilance down and attack me when I least expected it. His plan worked out perfectly... I didn't suspect anything. I thought Yura really loved me. When they imprisoned me, they tortured me day and night, alternately Jin, once Yura... Her torture hurt twice as hard... I will not go into drastic details. I've already told you a little about it before... - V stopped silent for a moment, then without warning approached Jungkook and pulled his silver dagger from behind his belt.

When he got so close, the overwhelming scent of V skin crept into Jungkook's nostrils. The vampire smelled of wet soil and strawberries. The smell of his skin was so wonderful that he automatically closed his eyes for a moment, sniffing the smell. When he opened his eyes again, V stood in front of him and held his dagger in his hand.

- Have you ever wondered how it is possible for me to hold this dagger? It's pure silver, right? Silver burns vampire skin. Have you ever seen any other vampire able to do that? - He asked.

His voice was unusually low, which made it sound more mysterious. Jungkook had already seen V hold the dagger when they first met, but then he was too shy to ask anything. Pure silver worked on vampires like fire on human skin, he knew that. He had never seen any other vampire be able to hold such a dagger in his hand. The hilt was also made of silver so that if the weapon was thrown out during the fight, no vampire could use it against him. And now, V stood before him, proudly holding a dagger without the slightest grimace on his beautiful face. Jungkook looked him straight in the eye as if he could read all the answers to his unspoken questions. V, as if hearing his thoughts, moved the dagger over his left hand and with a quick, confident motion cut the skin on his left forearm. No whimper came out of his mouth, though he should normally be in pain.

- One of their favorite tortures was injecting dissolved silver directly into the arteries... - He suddenly threw, smiling faintly and handing the dagger to Jungkook's hands. The boy took him uncertainly. Vampire blood still glistened on his blade. - Feeling such unimaginable pain a million times, such a simple cut or holding of silver in my hand does not impress me anymore. It was usually Yura who injected silver in my vains... God, you don't even know how many times I begged her not to. She never listened to me... Something happened once and a fire broke out in the warehouse. Taking advantage of the confusion, I managed to force her to free my hands, but we struggled and she left me no choice... I was forced to kill her. Jin saw this and threw himself at me, I fought him, but I was so weak that he almost killed me... Then Yoongi with the boys showed up into the warehouse and saved me... I never told them about this wedding ring, nor my proposal... I think I was ashamed that I loved someone cruel like that... You are the only person who knows this story besides me and Yura...

- V, you have nothing to be ashamed of... You couldn't know that it would end this way... - With that, Jungkook looked him straight in the eye.

- After what happened... I promised myself that I would never fall in love again and that it worked out quite well so far... - V looked at Jungkook's face. Until you appeared... He finished in his thoughts, carefully watching the brunet. His face was illuminated by the setting sun, making his skin seem even more bright and smooth. The boy looked like an angel. His angel. - All these years, I focused only on the physical sphere. Zero emotions. Zero connections... This was easier. Safer...

- If you don't let anyone in, nobody will hurt you... - Jungkook whispered suddenly.

V just nodded, and the boy felt a strange tightness in his chest. How many times did he reject potential partners based on this decision? Maybe that's why V seemed so close to him. They were so similar to each other. Both strong and brave, ready to face the greatest adversities, and at the same time so terrified that they could love someone. Jungkook felt his throat tighten. He wanted to put his arm around V. The vampire had never seemed so fragile and small as he was at the moment.

- And what about Jin? - Jungkook asked suddenly, and V's body involuntarily tensed.

- He managed to escape. Before he escaped, he promised me that he would find and kill me, just as I had killed Yura... - He replied briefly.

- This ring ...

- This is a message for me... Jin came back for me...

As V spoke those words, Jungkook shivers passed on Jungkook's back. Fear was visible on V's face. The boy realized that probably for the first time the vampire looks as if he was actually afraid of something and could not bear this view. Instinctively, he approached him as close as his courage would allow.

- V, I won't let anyone hurt you more, understand? - With that, he gently took his chin with his right hand and lifted his chin so that their eyes would meet.

In the brunet's look there was such a thing that V knew that Jungkook would do anything to fulfill his promise. For the first time in his life, he felt that he didn't have to count only on himself. Perhaps love did not have to weaken him at all? Maybe they are stronger together? They looked into each other's eyes for a moment. Jungkook's gaze was so intense that V had the impression that the boy was looking deep into his soul, in a place where no one had ever looked before. The air between them thickened, and the brunet's breath accelerated. V felt his mouth dry. Instinctively his blue eyes moved a little lower, to the boy's raspberry lips. His lips seemed so soft and delicate.

Jungkook seemed to notice that the vampire's eyes had stared into his lips for too long, because he cleared his throat loudly and took his hand in confusion while increasing the distance between them. V felt as if he had been awakened from a trance, embarrassed, brushed his fringe with his hand and turned his back to Jungkook. He took a deep breath, trying to control his desires. After a moment he looked at him again.

- Jungkook, do you want to have dinner with me? - He asked suddenly. The brunet gave him a surprised look, but the corner of his mouth slightly raised up.

- A dinner? - He repeated stupidly, surprised by the proposal. - After all, you do not eat... - He added, suppressing a smile that involuntarily hit his lips. He did not know why, but the vision of the next evening spent together in some strange way caused him pleasant excitement. V smiled charmingly at his words.

- I don't eat, but you must be starving. I heard that there is a restaurant nearby, where they serve great steaks. Even I won't despise a piece of well-grilled Meat. - He replied with a smile. - Come on, I'm buying! - He added and, without waiting for an answer, handed him the helmet.

The boy returned the smile and without a word of protest sat on the motorcycle, waiting for the vampire to slide into place in front of him. V quickly put on his helmet and sat down in the driver's seat. Jungkook wrapped his arms around the vampire's waist without hesitation, and V smiled involuntarily again.

He could get used to it.

To this closeness. This warmth. To Jungkook.

It didn't take them long to get there. As V said, the restaurant was a short distance away. The blond parked the motorcycle and led Jungkook toward the entrance. The boy looked around. The restaurant was in a rich district, before the entrance stood a doorman who dealt with opening doors for arriving guests. Jungkook felt uncertainty overwhelm him. He looked at the vampire, who strode ahead.

- V, I'm not sure I fit in here... - He suddenly said in a quiet voice.

The restaurant was definitely expensive, people dressed in designer clothes were hanging around, and he was wearing his black, torn jeans and a plain white V-neck shirt, a slightly worn leather jacket on his shoulders. He looked at V, which, as usual, looked like a million dollars. His long blue shirt gently fell on his broad shoulders, revealing temptingly his insane collarbones. Athletic legs were decorated with black, fitted pants. His blond hair fell softly on his handsome face and further emphasized his smooth, sun-kissed skin. In his right hand was a black leather jacket. The vampire looked phenomenal. Jungkook never had problems with confidence, he knew that women liked him, but with someone as beautiful as V, he felt ashamed of his everyday outfit.

At his words, the vampire stopped abruptly and turned quickly toward him.

- Baby doll, don't fool around. If you don't belong here, than who? - V asked confused. Jungkook approached him and lowered his voice, not wanting other people to hear him. His warm breath pleasantly blew V's cheek as the boy bent down to whisper something in his ear.

- All these people are so dressed up... - He finally said uncertainly. V looked him straight in the eye. His face became serious immediately.

- Kookie, you are so damn handsome that you don't have to dress up to outshine them all - He answered without the slightest stutter, and Jungkook felt his cheeks become hot. - Come! - That saying, the blond reached out to him, and the dark-haired man, unable to refuse, grabbed his hand firmly.

V led him to the entrance. When the doorman saw them, he quickly grabbed the door to open it, but V approached him and looked at the man.

- I will do it - He said in a low, menacing voice and opened the door himself in front of the boy, indicating that he should go inside.

- Hmm, what a gentleman... - Jungkook said, smiling broadly and moved forward.

As he passed V, the vampire shamelessly looked him up and down, hanging his lustful look a little longer on the boy's buttocks, then came over to him and wrapped his hand around his waist.

- You know that 99% of letting someone through the door has nothing to do with manners, but rather with a desire to stare at somebody's buttocks with impunity? - He whispered in his ear in his low, sexy voice. His upper lip unintentionally touched Jungkook's earlobe slightly, sending a pleasant shiver along his spine. Brunet tried to remain serious, but the corners of his mouth instinctively raised up.

- And you liked what you saw? - He asked, looking sideways at the vampire. V laughed softly. Oh and what a laugh it was!

- You don't even know how much. - He replied, looking him straight in the eye.

The vampire's eyes were so intense that Jungkook swallowed hard, feeling his pulse involuntarily speed up. Hearing this, V merely gave him his beautiful, boxy smile. After a while, however, he released his waist and approached the man standing at the main entrance to the restaurant.

- We would like a table for two. - He said smiling kindly at the man.

- Of course! What was the name on the reservation? - With that, he opened the book in front of him.

- There was no reservation. - Vampire replied. The man looked a bit nervously at V, then at Jungkook and again at V. It seems that the vampire intimidated him with his dominant aura. - In that case, I'm sorry but we don't have tables available. To get to us, you need to make reservations several months in advance. - He said in a tone like he was bragging.

Jungkook could not resist and instinctively rolled his eyes at the words of the man. That one was like a peacock, at least as if he were a chef or co-owner here, and not someone responsible for finding names in the big book. Jungkook looked at V, whose lips appeared a mysterious smile. The vampire's eyes darkened slightly and he narrowed the distance between him and the stranger.

- I think you misunderstood... - He began in a calm voice. - I want a table for two. The best you have... - At his words the man nodded meekly and pointed toward the entrance.

- Follow me, please. - He said with a smile. V turned to Jungkook and gave him an innocent smile.

- I thought you were not using your abilities for such purposes. - Jungkook laughed softly.

- Everything for you, doll! - Replied the vampire, and Jungkook felt himself blushing again.

No one had ever talked to him like that, but the affectionate expression caused a strange feeling down his stomach. He wanted V to call him that again, but only looked away, embarrassed by his own desires and followed the man without a word. After a while, they were led up the stairs to the upper level, where there was a private, separate room.

- This is our VIP area. - The man finally said, pointing to the room.

Jungkook looked around and had to admit that someone who invented this place had to try very hard. The interior was really beautiful. Their table was on the terrace with a beautiful view of Seoul.

- Jang-mi, take care of the gentlemen. - Saying this, he turned to the young girl standing back to them. When she turned away, her eyes immediately turned to V, and a big smile crept over her red lips.

- Oh, I'll do it with great pleasure! - She replied in a luscious voice, still not taking her eyes off the vampire.

Jungkook couldn't resist seeing this and instinctively ran his tongue across the inside of his cheek. The girl was very pretty, he couldn't deny it, but the way her hungry eyes almost absorbed V made him want to wipe that smile off her face. The man who brought them here bowed politely and disappeared again inside the building, leaving them alone with the waitress.

- I see you are here for the first time... - Saying this, the girl turned towards V, smiling sweetly. The blond man raised his right eyebrow slightly and laughed softly.

- I look like someone who doesn't eat steaks often? - He asked perversely, glancing furtively at Jungkook. The brunet suppressed a giggle.

- No, I just would remember such a handsome man. - The girl replied, eyeing him from head to toe. V laughed out loud.

- I do not doubt. - He said. - Is this our table? - He asked, wanting to change the subject as soon as possible.

- Of course. For such a special guest, we chose our best table with the most beautiful view. Please. - Saying this, she pointed to V to lead the way.

When the vampire moved forward, the girl gave a furtive glance towards Jungkook, who was still standing there surprised by the behavior of the waitress. The girl eyed V almost ostentatiously again.

- Oh your friend is sexy. - She said in a slightly low voice to Jungkook, and he opened his mouth to say something, but the words got stuck in his throat.

He'd seen people react to V before, both men and women, but no one had ever done it as intensely and ostentatiously as this waitress did. Brunet clenched his jaw and without a word moved towards the table. Both of V sat on opposite sides, and the girl handed them the menus. Suddenly the vampire's phone rang and the blond, slightly annoyed, pulled the cell phone out of his pants pocket. He wanted to spend the evening with Jungkook. He took him to this beautiful, romantic place, he wanted to make sure that they had a delicious dinner together, and something was still getting in his way so that he could lose himself in it. He looked at the display and sighed at the familiar name on the screen. He looked at the boy from under his insanely long eyelashes and smiled apologetically.

- It's Yoongi... I have to pick it up... - With these words he got up quickly from the table and walked away a bit so that the waitress would not hear his conversation. Jungkook followed him with his eyes, unable to take his eyes off him, but after a while the thought of the girl's voice snapped him out of his thoughts.

- Oh Jesus! These buttocks... Your friend certainly works out in the gym. Not only that he is very handsome, he also has such a divine body... Nice cutie from him...

Jungkook pushed his cheek out again with his tongue, holding back not to say anything to the pushy girl. He looked at her furtively. Her eyes were fixed on the silhouette of V, who was standing back to them. Jungkook couldn't stand the way the girl was looking at him. Her eyes were lusty, as if she wanted to eat him. V suddenly moved the phone to his right ear and turned slightly towards them, so that both of them could now admire his perfect profile. Jungkook involuntarily fixed his eyes on those raspberry lips of the vampire, who parted, gently moved, uttering words inaudible to his ears. Jungkook felt as if he were in a trance. He couldn't take his eyes off V's lips, those sinful lips that were even made to whisper some sexy, rude words. At the thought of those lips at his ear, a shiver went down his back. He felt dry mouth and instinctively licked his lips.

It took a moment for him to realize that the girl was still talking to him, of which he did not realize.

-... And God, his hands... Do you know what they say about men who have long fingers? - After these words, the girl giggled, and Jungkook felt blood boil in him.

- Listen, lady! - He growled at her, thereby attracting the attention of the waitress. - First of all, I do not remember that I agreed for you to speak in such informal way to me, so I advise you to start to approach me with the respect that you owe to a customer in such damn expensive restaurant. Second and most important thing... I know V is super handsome, but there is something else you need to know about. V is mine. And only mine.

Jungkook didn't know what got into him, that he said it, but he had to admit that calling V "his" made him feel nice. This word, rolling down his language, left a unique taste on it.

- And now you will stop staring at him and start acting like a waitress, understand? I would not like to be forced to ask your boss for more professional service...

- H-how is he yours? - A girl asked surprised, looking from V to Jungkook, as if the meaning of his words did not reach her.

- V is my man, my partner, my boyfriend... Call it what you want, but I want you to stay away from him, understood?

- I-I'm sorry I didn't know you were.. - The girl lowered her voice. - Homo... - She whispered, as if afraid that V would hear her.

- Our orientation is not your problem... Just stay away from my boyfriend! - At these words the girl just nodded. - You can go, we'll consider our order and call you when we need it. - He added firmly.

The waitress nodded and bowed before quickly disappearing inside the building. Jungkook looked at V and saw that the vampire had just finished talking. He slipped his cell phone into his pocket and headed for the table. Their eyes met, and the blond gave him his boxy smile. It was so wonderful that Jungkook couldn't even put a word to it. V sat down in front of him and looked at his face.

- You are all right? You have some oddly accelerated pulse... - He suddenly said, looking at him closely. Jungkook swallowed at the memory of his conversation with the waitress.

- Yyy no. I'm all right. I just don't know what to choose... Everything looks so tasty... - He lied, grateful for the quick response to the question asked. V smiled again.

- Don't worry, I will choose something for you. You'll definitely like it. - He replied, glancing over the menu at the boy. Jungkook smiled gently.

- What did Yoongi want? - He asked suddenly, slightly serious.

- He got another tip from Namjoon, about some den, where they reportedly sell Vamptasy. He goes to check it out and asked if I want to go with him, but I told him I couldn't.

- V, if you want, you can go with him... I know how important this Vamptasy case is to you...

- Jungkook... - V interrupted him and instinctively grabbed his hand, which the boy was holding on the table. - You are more important to me... - He said, looking him straight in the eye, and Jungkook again felt a pleasant shiver run down his back. After a while, however, to his disappointment, V withdrew his hand as if embarrassed by his reaction. - Besides, I haven't eaten a good steak for a long time. - He added, smiling broadly.

- It's wonderful because we have the best steaks in town! - A female voice suddenly babbled and Jang-mi appeared again. This time, to Jungkook's delight, she no longer devoured V with her eyes, as before. - Can I take an order from you? - She asked, looking once at V, once at Jungkook. Dark-hair ed boy, a bit confused, looked away. Through this small exchange with the waitress in the absence of V, he didn't even have time to look at the restaurant's menu.

- Yes. - V. said boldly. - Kobe beef steak, please. For me rare. And for... - V reached again with his hand over the table and grabbed Jungkook with his hand. The brunet looked at him surprised, but did not withdraw his hand. His pulse accelerated again under the influence of this unexpected vampire gesture. - For my lovely boyfriend, medium rare. - He added, looking Jungkook straight in the eye.

Shit. V must have heard the whole conversation... The boy felt his cheeks flushing. Shit. Shit. Shit...

- And a bottle of Chianti Classico Riserva, please. - He finished and the waitress nodded in confirmation and quickly headed for the exit.

Jungkook felt his pulse increase with each step she took. How was he supposed to explain it to V? Why did he call him his boyfriend? How was he to look in his eyes now? Confused, he stared at V's hand, which was still squeezing his. In some strange way, their hands fit together perfectly. As if the vampire's hands were created to hold his.

- Y-you heard everything? - He finally choked out, looking at V from under his long dark fringe.

Ashamed, he gently released his hand from the blonde's. The vampire reluctantly released his grip and looked closely at Jungkook's face. The boy was evidently confused, he avoided his eyes, his cheeks took on a beautiful pink color, his heart beat twice faster, tapping an unique melody in V's ears.

- Vampire abilities. - He replied. - Honestly, I finished the conversation with Yoongi much earlier, but I didn't want to interrupt you... - V added after a while he could have sworn that the vampire suppressed a smile that clung to his lips.

- Jesus, V... I'm sorry... Really. I don't know what got into me... If you want, I'll go and tell her that it was a lie... - He began to explain chaotically.

He was confused. He didn't know what to say. How can he explain what he did if he didn't understand why the girl's behavior irritated him so much? But all of a sudden the most wonderful sound he could imagine burst into his ears. V's laughter. So low and wonderfully natural. Jungkook looked up and looked at the vampire in confusion. V wasn't angry with him?

- Kookie, you have nothing to apologize for. It's nice that you are jealous of me... - He answered calmly. - And to be honest... what you did was damn sexy... - He added in a low voice, the sound of which made Jungkook's stomach tighten.

The vampire's eyes gently darkened, and the dark man swallowed hard, feeling his cheeks burn under his intense gaze. V opened his mouth to say something else, but he stopped himself when a waitress approached them, carrying an order. The food looked beautiful and smelled so good that Jungkook felt his stomach twist and only realized how hungry he was. He had not eaten much in the morning. He quickly sliced off a piece of the steak and put it in his mouth, still feeling V's intense gaze on him. The meat melted in his mouth, it made a quiet grunt skip from his mouth.

- Mmmmm it was worth doing your magic for this! - He said quickly, putting another piece in his mouth. At the moment, the boy looked like a small child who just got his favorite food. V couldn't help smiling, thinking that he would be able to do anything to just get to see this view every day.

Jungkook dismounted reluctantly from the motorcycle V parked under his workshop. It was late, so the city was shrouded in darkness. His workshop from the outside was illuminated only by a soft light from the signboard. The day was inevitably coming to an end, and Jungkook could not get rid of the feeling of disappointment. He did not want this day to end. Apart from the unpleasant views of the killed vampire, this day was really successful. He spent all the time with V and would lie saying that it was not pleasant. He learned a lot about him today, he felt that they had come close to each other. And that dinner... To be honest, it was probably one of the greatest evenings in his life. V was brilliant, flirtatious and so damn cute. He kept making him laugh. Jungkook didn't remember the last time he laughed so much, his cheeks have hurt. He slipped off his helmet and went to the side entrance that led through the back of the workshop to his apartment. He leaned against the wall and turned his gaze on V. The vampire dismounted from the motorcycle, slipped off his helmet and brushed his blond hair with his hand. Jungkook wondered how it would be to dip his fingers in them. He wanted to feel their softness on his skin. The vampire looked up and looked at him from under his insanely long eyelashes. His eyes were spotless blue. He reflexively held his breath. V was so incredibly handsome that it was hard to believe that such a person could exist. Without interrupting eye contact, the blond walked towards him, slowly reducing the distance between them. Jungkook felt that with each subsequent step, his heart began to beat more and more, which certainly did not escape V's attention. Vampire stopped only when they were separated by only a few dozen centimeters. They were far too close for two friends, but none of them seemed to mind. Jungkook did not like when others violated his personal space, but with V it was different. His closeness pleased him, although he did not want to admit it to himself.

- It looks like it's over for today... - V finally said, his voice breaking the silence was probably the most beautiful sound he was able to hear. His low, deep voice vibrated pleasantly in his ears.

- Yes, but I really had fun today. It turns out that even sometimes you can be funny if you try. - Jungkook replied, smiling feistyly. V took another step forward.

- I don't even have to try, doll. This is my innate charm. - His perfectly cut lips curved into a beautiful smile.

At this affectionately nickname, another shiver went down Jungkook's back. For a split second he wondered what it would be like to hear V whispering such words right in his ear.

- You would like to have such a charm.

Jungkook put a hand on his chest, hitting it gently in a playful way, but his hand involuntarily stopped on his chest. His fingers were on the bare skin of the vampire. He could almost touch his left collarbone with his fingertips. Jungkook noticed that the blonde's breath was shallow. The air between them thickened. The boy, confused by the sudden tension, slightly adjusted his shirt, then took his hand away. The vampire licked his lower lip, then looked him straight in the eye with his piercing eyes. His gaze was almost electrifying.

- Jungkook, there is something I wanted to ask you... This question is bothering me all evening... - He started suddenly, in a slightly uncertain voice. Brunet just nodded as a sign that the vampire would continue. - You told this waitress that I am your boyfriend... That I am yours... Does this mean that this dinner was a real date or just a meeting of two friends? - He finally asked.

- It depends... How do you think this evening should end? - He answered the question with a question. V smiled gently.

- If it was an evening of two buddies... I would say "see you tomorrow, during training", got on the motorcycle and drove away. And if it was a date... I would hope that it will last a little longer... In the worst case scenario, I would hope that you will reduce the distance between us and kiss me goodnight so hard that we will both lack oxygen in our lungs. At best... You would kiss me and invite me to your apartment... Neither of us would like this night to end here and now... - V's voice was almost a whisper, but his words boomed in Jungkook's head. He felt as if someone had sucked all the air, his heart galloped in his chest. Driven by some supernatural force, he took another step forward. They were so close now that their breathing was merging into one.

- V... Would you like to come in for a drink? - He asked suddenly, without interrupting his eye contact.

V's eyes gently darkened, and Jungkook's breath was shallow knowing what that meant. The vampire ran his tongue over his lower lip, leaving a thin layer of saliva on it. This small gesture was so damn sexy that a thousand sinful thoughts appeared in the head of brunet. He had the impression that the perfect lips of the vampire would be his doom. They were supposed to be just friends, but could he resist him? Should he resist him?

- I would love to have a drink with you, but I think you forgot one important part of my plan... - V whispered, his voice even lower and deeper if at all possible.

Jungkook knew well what part the vampire was talking about, and at these words he felt a strange tightness in his stomach as if his body were demanding this closeness. Without thinking, he moistened his lips and leaned gently toward V, slowly closing the distance between them. The blond remained in place, giving the boy complete freedom to do what he really wanted. Jungkook brought his lips close to V's and gently ran his lips over his. Their touch was barely noticeable, like a breeze.

V desperately wanted to kiss him. He still remembered how soft the brunet's lips were. How wonderfully warm and delicate. He wanted to feel them again...

Now...

He was about to pull Jungkook closer to him and finally put their lips together in a real kiss when his phone rang again. Under the influence of an unexpected sound, Jungkook stepped back a bit, and V with a low growl pulled the phone out of his pocket and put it to his ear, answering without looking at the display.

- I hope this is really good, Yoongi, or I will come and strangle you with my bare hands! - He growled into the phone.

Yoongi has already called him 3 times since they parted on the hill. Finally V told him that he was with Jungkook and he was supposed to call only in matters of "life and death", so he did not expect more calls from him, but he could not just underestimate it. The brunet moved away slightly from him, but their faces were only centimeters apart. V still felt his hot breath on his lips.

- Y-yy I was definitely expecting a different greeting... Will you call me Yoongi now? - Suddenly the voice in the receiver replied, clearly surprised by his greeting.

Jungkook could not hear the caller's words exactly, but he could certainly say that it was not the voice of a blond vampire. V's face became serious right away, and his body tensed. The brunet reflexively frowned, wondering what was wrong. V swallowed, as if slightly nervous, and looked away from his intense eyes.

- Jackson, why are you calling? Something happened? - He asked in a cold voice, and at the sound of the boy's name, Jungkook felt a strange pressure in his heart. It felt as if someone had slapped him, instinctively he increased the distance separating him from the vampire.

During their dinner, he completely forgot that V dates Jackson. When he was with him, nothing else mattered. He was so stupid...

- I just got home and thought you might want to have some fun tonight... You haven't been here for a long time... - Jackson was saying something else, but V couldn't focus on his words. He looked quickly at Jungkook, who took a few steps back and smiled wanly at him. V reached out his hand to grab brunet's hand and stop him from leaving, but he took his hand before the vampire could touch him.

- Jun... - He began, but before he could finish, the boy interrupted him.

- I think you should go now, V. I'll see you tomorrow, during training... - He said coldly and quickly ran into the workshop, closing the door behind him.

- Jackson, listen... This is not the best time. - V threw quickly into the handset, interrupting the caller and without waiting for an answer, just hung up.

He looked at the closed workshop door, behind which Jungkook had just disappeared and instinctively touched his lower lip, on which he still felt the gentle touch of brunet's lips.

Fuck, he screwed up again...
