Hello! My name is Azriel and I am a Free-Soul. A Free-Soul is a person that has both a human and cat form. Sadly, people of our kind are hunted, which is why i had to leave the rural city of Herald. Once the manhunt for us is complete, I will return.

That was three months ago.

"Hello!" I whispered to my camera, "Today will mark the third month that the country has been searching for us, Free-Souls." Up to this moment, the police had been looking for a Free-Soul said to be extremely dangerous, that person was me. "All I did was cut a few purses." I thought to myself. I heard a big truck pull up outside the abandoned building.

"Ok Chaps!" said a loud booming voice

I trembled in fear.

"I heard that a couple a' knife ears be livin' in these parts, so keep your eyes wide open!"

Then, I gasped in surprise as the scent of spell components hit the roof of my mouth.

"A mage!" I thought.

I heard the man chuckle. "And now that we got someone from the center circle on our side they won't be able to run." The rest of the gang started roaring with laughter

I slowly started the painful shift into a large, orange, black, and white calico with bright blue eyes, leaving behind my clothes and possessions into the fur coat that I had become so accustomed to.

"Did you hear that fellas!" there was a general sound of agreement," We got ourselves a shape changer."

Slowly, I tried to creep out the one of the windows.

One of the men saw me and yelled, "Over there!" and pointed in my direction.

It was then that I started running across the street, seeking the dense grove of trees that might grant my enough cover to get away. My heart racing in my chest, I bound across the pavement until I was hit with a wave of suspicious drowsiness that took hold of me, slowing me down to the point of collapsing. I was about to close my eyes when a man in a dark leather jacket and jeans appeared in front of me. And as the mysterious man spoke the world slowed to a halt. The men stopped moving and the trees stopped swaying. It seemed that this man and I were the only things left alone. I looked up at the man while trying to shake off the magical sleep.

The man had a small scraggly beard and his voice was rough. "Go!" he said in a deep voice, "These men will not bother you again."

"T-thank you!" I say, stumbling to my paws. I ran towards the beach as the world starts turning once again.
