Chapter 3: Royal

He stood in front of the mirror and adjusted his royal blue tie, tightening enough that it hugged his neck snuggly but wasn't choking him. Sweeping his almond brown hair out of his eyes, he stared at his reflection. A young boy gazed back at him. His eyes were a warm golden which softened the sharp lines of his face. A pale gold shirt was tucked into a pair of tight fitting cerulean pants, held up by a belt with the 2 Kingdom's guardian animal, a shiny white and gold flarelion. Over top of the shirt lay a fancy pearly white suit jacket, adorned with medals and accessories. An expressionless look layed on his face while inside a torrent of emotions swirled. I can't mess up, I can't! Why did he call me? What did I do? What's going on? How- The opening of the ornate door to the massive room interrupted his train of thought and he turned to confront the intruder. A indigo haired butler entered and bowed 90 degrees. "His Majesty and his royal court await your presence Prince Aaron." Aaron took a deep breath. "Thank you Mareo," he replied.

Pivoting on his heels, he walked through the door and entered the brightly lit hallway. As he strolled through them towards the throne room, he found himself gazing out the wall-sized windows. The view was breathtaking. Lush forests filled the space as far as the eye could see. Gaps through the trees revealed the city below, bustling with life. Houses made of fine granite and marble dotted the city, nestled between high-end restaurants and famous businesses. Even farther, in small clearings, towns sat with their worn cottages and brick buildings. The castle itself rested upon a majestic mountain, gleaming in the sunlight. It was designed to both impress and intimidate, at which it did a fine job. Caught up in the sights, he nearly walked past the gold and ivory doors. He calmed his breathing and composed himself, preparing to face the nobles hidden behind the mammoth gates. Aaron gestured towards the guards and they swiftly moved to grasp the handles and pulled.

Inside, royalty of all types chatted. Dukes, lords, generals all were crowded in the room. At first talking could be heard throughout the entire room but as soon as a few duchesses caught sight of him their conversation came to a halt. A few moments later, the area was completely silent. Compared to the talk a minute ago the silence was deafening. They started to whisper amongst themselves. Behind their colourful fans, ladies murmured and men discreetly gestured to one another at the new addition to the party. As he stepped forward, the crowd parted. Holding his head high, Aaron proceed to stride between the pampered people. At the end of the path, 4 thrones sat.

The two outermost thrones were identical. Each was a shaped with a simple style in a eye-catching shade of blue with gemstones adorning it in swirling patterns. Well as simple as a throne can get. On the leftmost throne, reclined a young woman. Her gold hair fell in ringlets to her back. A light gold dress accented her skin and the thrones shade. Many bracelets and necklaces were piled upon her body. How is she able to sit straight with all that weight on her? flitted through his mind as he approached even closer. In the right center, a golden masterpiece sat. Curving, it weaved together to create a chair that resembled a tree's branches. It's beauty was pale in comparison though, to the lady sitting on top of it. Wearing a silky white dress, the only accessory she had was a gold chain. Dangling from the chain was a delicate flower. Similar to the flower, her body held a petite air to it. With a small face framed with light chestnut hair and wide eyes, you found yourself drawn into their amber depths. Aaron felt himself relax slightly once he caught her eye. She gave him a small smile and he had to restrain himself from smiling in return. Tearing his eyes away, he faced the most powerful man in the room. Stern imposing figure. Crisp white ceremonial uniform outlined in blue and gold. Flowing cape draped upon broad shoulders. Slightly tanned skin. Piercing red eyes seemed to bore into his soul. Aaron shuddered under his gaze. This man had rose to power at the age of 14. He brought the kingdom to a new era of prosperity. Ruler of Kanari. Saviour of the nation. King Andrion DeClare.

Father.

Finally chapter 3!!!!

I'm so sorry for the wait! I promised I would get this out in 2 weeks, instead it's been about a month. Aghhhhhhhhhh!! Gomen, gomen, gomen!

I hope you guys haven't abandoned this book yet, but I totally understand as it's author is a complete butt. *sigh*

Anywhoosies, there been something I've been wanting to get off my chest. It pains me to say this but ....

HOW THE HECK DOES EVERYONE MAKE THESE EMOJI FACES!!! Like seriously, I have absolutely no clue how authors everywhere are making these emoji faces except for me! Just, just, aghhhhhhhh! Is there some secret keyboard I don't know about? Do they just copy and paste from some one else? Or am I just too stupid to notice the keys on the keyboard?! Can someone please help me???

Also, completely off topic, but would someone be willing to make me a cover? Right now all I have is a bloodied dagger on a white background. Real interesting. So if someone, anyone, out there could make me a cover, I'd really appreciate it. Just comment or send me a message.

I hope you guys are satisfied with this update. Since I'm on winter break, I have some time to update. You know, when I'm not watching YouTube, reading manga or reading fanfics that is.

I'll see you in the next chapter!

Love, Fallen Angel Heart

P.S.  I couldn't really find a song that would fit this chapter so, sorry, but you'll have to listen to silence.
