Hazels POV

"Hey dandelion" the silky smooth voice of draco comes from behind me in the Hufflepuff common room and i smile "hey love" i reply and i turn to him "oh my goodness, what happened" i breathe as i see the purple and blue bruises littered across his pale but smooth skin. I put my hand on his cheek as i inspect the damage and i take my hanky out my robe pocket as i dab it across the gash on his lip "what happened draco?" I asked softly as i lead him up to my bedroom "guess" he sighs in embarrassment "harry?" I asked softly and he nods. We get to my bedroom and i sit him on my bed while i grab an ice pack "what did he do?" I asked as i place the ice pack against his cheek "we were arguing like usual but this time he brought you into it" he said "i shut him up pretty quickly" he chuckles halfheartedly and i smile "im guessing he got the worst of the injuries" i say with a giggle and he grins "you need to learn to ignore him, He's not worth it draco" i say as i lift his chin to look at me "it worries me when you get hurt" i say as i peck the top of his head. I put the ice pack back into the little refrigerator and i feel Draco's arms wrap around my waist from behind "im sorry, i just hate people talking about you the way he was" he says as he nuzzles his face into my neck and i smile "i know, and i appreciate You sticking up for me" i say as i turn to face him, i go up onto my tippy toes and place a soft kiss on his cheek.

"You can stay the night here if you want" I say and he looks at me with a grin "there are a pair of sweatpants and one of your gray t shirts" i say with a smile as i pick up one of his gray sweaters. I go into the bathroom and i strip down to my underwear and i put his sweater on (at the top), then i wipe the little makeup i have on, off and i put my long chesnut brown hair into dutch braids. I walk out and dracos already laying on my bed and i walk over to him; i lay down beside him and he gently laces out fingers together "hazel, why do you care about me so much?" He asks "that's hard to Answer" i start "ive always gravitated towards you cuz you're misunderstood" i say "you of all people deserved to have someone to confide in, and i wanted to be that person" i say softly "you're amazing" he whispers And i giggle "you too" i reply.

After an hour or so of mindless chatter, both of our tummy's rumble and we both laugh "wanna sneak out and get some food?" He asks and i nod as i slide some shorts on and i grab my wand. I walk back to Draco as i gently take his hand and i lead him out of the dorms and to the common room door "youre up early dear, is everything alright?" The hufflepuff portrait asks me "yes im fine, me and draco just wanted to grab a late night snack" i whisper "ah, be back soon dear" she says and i smile "i will" i say as it opens "look after her mr malfoy" she says and he chuckles and nods. I lead him out the common room by his hand as i make my way to the gryffindor common room "lumos" i whisper as my wand lights up "why are we heading to the gryffindor common room?" He whispers "fred and George have loads of sweets in their room, they always give me later night snacks" i whisper back. We hear footsteps coming our way and i cancel out the light from my wand and i pull draco to a dark wall.

Once the footsteps are completely gone, i cast the lumos spell again and we keep heading on "who was that?" He whispers "just snape" i whisper back. We make it to the fat lady and she looks at me sleepily "hello dear, you're up late" she says sleepily and i nod "midnight snacks" i say and she nods "im gonna need the password sweet cheeks" she says and i nod "dragons head" i whisper and the portrait opens "be quick dear" she says and i nod. I pull draco up to fred and georges room and i knock on the door "hazel, what are you doing here?" Fred asks "and what's malfoy doing here?" George adds on "can we have some snacks? And He's staying in my dorm tonight cuz i need to treat his wounds" i say softly "yeah i heard, sorry about harry, malfoy" fred says as he pats Draco's shoulder "its ok, hazel always puts me back together" he chuckles and they both laugh. They welcome us into their dorm room and we take a seat on the mini couch "thank you guys so much for doing this for us" i say sweetly "its not a problem, you're our baby cousin after all" george says

Dracos pov

"Wait, cousins?" I ask and hazel giggles "yep" fred says with a smile "i thought you guys were siblings" i chuckle "man i wish, hazel would be the best little sister" george says and i see hazel smile "how come you're staying the night with hazel?" fred asks as he sits on his bed "i need a brake from the idiots in my dorm, hazels dorm is always so quiet and warm so i prefer it in there" i say and he nods in understanding "here ya go, this is all the sweets we have" george says as he puts a satchel around hazels shoulders "thank you so much George" she sayd as she hugs him gently and he returns the gesture. I smile at the both Of them as hazel sits down again and i take her warm, small hand into my own large cold hand "hey malfoy" george says amd i look at him "thank you for looking after hazel for us" he says and i grin "its not a problem, she's wonderful" i say as she squeezes my hand

"We trust that you will continue to look after her" fred says with a smirk and i nod "of course" i say "you should get back, it's way bast curfew" george says as he kisses hazels head and pats me on the shoulder "night guys" i say and they smile.

Hazels POV

I gently take Draco's hand as i lead him back to the Hufflepuff common room, once we get there, we sit on the sofa with all the sweets "hazel" draco says and i hum in responses "i love you" he whispers and i look up at him with a smile "i love you too" i whisper back. His hand cups my cheek gently and i lean into his touch "hazel, can i kiss you?" He whispers and i nod. He leans in slowly and he gently places his lips onto mine, i close my eyes and kiss back. I put my hand on his shoulder as he gently deepens the kiss. Once we pull away, his eyes fill with love and admiration "you're gorgeous" he whispers and i blush "thank you" i whisper back. I get up and i pull draco up, we walk back up to my dorm room and we get in bed and snuggle under the duvet "hazel" he asks "yeah?" I respond "thank you for loving me" he says and i smile "thank you for giving me a friend" i whisper back. He intertwines our fingers and smiles lovingly at me "draco" i whisper "yeah?" He whispers back "kiss me"
