Chapter 24: Earth and Hell Medical Appointments
One afternoon at their shooting spot, Moxxie, Millie, and Razor are helping Blitz with shooting practice and knife throwing. Blitz throws a knife and it stabs through the hay bale. Then Razor fires his rifle at a few soda bottles and they shatter into pieces. Moxxie and Millie fire their pistols and shoot the cans. Blitz then brings out the gun that the group has given to them and fires the glass bottles into pieces.
"You're getting the hang of this Blitz," Millie says.
"Thanks. I also have been getting used to the gun firing sound," Blitz says.
Millie then throws an axe and it strikes at the side of the table. Then Moxxie fires his crossbow at the hay bale.
Suddenly, Blitz hears a notification on his human cellphone. He takes his phone out of his pocket. He looks to see the notification that he has an email. Blitz opens it and sees an email that also has a scheduled appointment. It said about a doctor appointment and the date is for tomorrow.
"What is it, Blitz?" Randall asks.
"Oh, I just got an email reminder for my yearly doctor appointment tomorrow," Blitz says.
"A doctor appointment? Why do you need a doctor appointment? And how you were able to get one in the human world?" Millie asks, curiously.
"Well, My mom has a friend who's a doctor and one of my cousins is working at the clinic. He agreed to be my personal doctor because they feel it will be a bit risky about me going to a normal doctor. I only go to hospital for any serious injuries," Blitz explains.
"Make sense," Randall says with a nod.
Moxxie questions, "Uh, isn't it a bit concerning that you're seeing a human doctor?"
"Why? I've visited the doctor for years and I never had any kind of trouble," Blitz says.
Randall gives Moxxie a nuggie as he wraps his arm around him, "Oh don't be such a worry wart. Blitz has lived in the human world a lot longer than we have. He knows what he's doing."
Then thinks of it and says, "Actually, I think he's the only demon who ever lived in the human world."
Moxxie pushes Randall away and fixes his hair, "I get it."
"I trust Blitz's family and those close to him, but I'm just a little concerned if any curious Demon obsessed humans come snooping around," Moxxie says.
"I never had any trouble with it so far," Blitz says.
"I know Blitz. I'm just thinking that maybe we could try to get you medical attention here, since you'll be living here," Moxxie says.
"I understand, but uh, the transfer of medical documents might be a bit complicated, " Blitz replies.
"I suppose you're right. It will be very difficult, especially since you don't have any documents or any identification here," Moxxie says.
"Don't worry Moxxie, I'm sure everything will be fine. Blitz has been doing it a long time, so we should trust him on it," Millie says.
"Alright, but Millie and I will go with you. I like to see that for myself," Moxxie says.
"Sure. I don't mind if you come," Blitz says.
The next day, the portal to the human world opens in an alley and Blitz, Moxxie, and Millie walk through it. Then the portal closes right behind them. They group look to see a white building with a few windows and a door. There is also a fence around the building. It also has a flat roof above the house.
"This is the place," Blitz says.
"Seems nice, and pretty quiet," Moxxie says.
"Yeah. It's not as big as other medical clinics, but it's still a good place to go to," Blitz says.
Blitz, Moxxie, and Millie walk through the gate, and walk towards the front door. He opens the door and they walk inside. As they walk inside the clinic, they see a few chairs, with a small table with some magazines and books on it. There is also a counter window with an employee on the other side.
Blitz walks over and says, "Hello. I'm here for my yearly appointment."
"Hello Blitzo, it's good to see you again. The doctor will be with you shortly," The female employee says.
"Okay. Thanks," Blitz says.
Blitz then takes a seat on one of the chairs. Moxxie and Millie sit beside him.
Millie and Moxxie look around to see the clinic is pretty nice. It has a white color wall with a few ocean and sea creature pictures on it. There is also a television showing the local news about events, and incidents, and a few events.
"Hmm, the doctor's office is very nice," Millie says.
"But why is it empty?" Moxxie asks.
"Well, they wanted to make sure there weren't many problems, not because of me being a circus star, but other unwanted attention. So during my appointment, they made sure it's a private appointment and made sure there weren't any other appointments on the same day as mine," Blitz explains.
"Sounds like your family is making sure you stay safe and so you won't get bothered by those who know you," Moxxie says.
"Yeah. I told then they don't need to worry, but mom recommended it," Blitz replies.
Just then, a young nurse with blonde hair in a back bun, blue eyes, and wearing a medical outfit walks out.
She turns to Blitz and says, "Good afternoon Blitz. Glad to see you made it."
"Hi Emilia, glad to see you too," Blitz says.
The girl Emilia asks, noticing Moxxie and Millie, "Are they friends of yours?"
"Yes. This is Moxxie and his wife, Millie," Blitz says.
"Hello," Moxxie and Millie reply.
"It's nice to meet you, I'm Blitz's cousin, Emilia," Emilia says.
Then says, "Anyway, Dr. Peterson is here to see you."
"Okay," Blitz says.
Moments later, Blitz, Moxxie, and Millie are in the examination room. Blitz sits down on the examination table as Moxxie and Millie sit on the chairs close by. Walking inside the room is a man in his late fifties. He has a bald head, but has a white mustache and wears glasses. He also wears a medical coat, light blue button up shirt, black slack pants, and dark brown shirt.
"Hello Blitzo, it's nice to see you again," the man, Dr. Peterson says.
"Hi Pete, good to see ya again," Blitz says.
Then introduces him to the others, "These are my friends, Moxxie and his wife, Millie. They decided to accompany me today."
It's a pleasure to meet you. It's nice to see Blitzo have made some good friends," Dr. Peterson says.
Then turns to Blitz, "Are you ready for your appointment?"
Moxxie and Millie watch as Dr. Peterson asks Blitz a few questions about his health, physical and mental health. They see Dr. Peterson check his height along with his weight as he writes them down. He also checks the measurements of his horns and tail. The doctor also checks Blitz's blood pressure, reflex, sight and hearing, breathing, and essentials that are needed to be checked for his health. And each time, the doctor has them written down.
"Well Blitzo, I see that you're in perfect health, and your height and weight seems to be normal. Your horns have grown a bit longer since I last saw you," Dr. Peterson says.
"That's good to hear," Millie says.
Curious, Moxxie asks, "Dr. Peterson, sir, if you don't mind me asking, but have you noticed anything well, different with Blitz' physical health?"
"Well, other than his teeth, horns, spines, and tail, he seems healthy enough," Dr. Peterson says.
Blitz sheepishly asks, "Are you referring to what happened with Martha?"
"Did something happen?" Dr. Peterson asks.
"It's a long story, but in short, my friends and I got caught in fire, although I didn't get hurt, the fire still stings," Blitz says.
"Ah yes. I remember your mother telling me about it. I remember her explaining that when you hurt yourself, you weren't badly burned, not even a burn mark, but noticed that it gives you irritations. However, the fire from the incident was severe enough that it was enough for you to receive those blotches," Dr. Peterson says,
"But how? It's hard to explain, but well, fire from here shouldn't really hurt us," Moxxie says.
"It's alright Moxxie, Matt already explained quite a bit about you and your friends, so I understand that it will be a skeptic for all of us," Dr. Peterson says.
"Oh," Moxxie replies, a little surprised.
Dr. Peterson chuckles and says, "Don't worry, your secret is safe."
"Well that makes it easy," Millie says with a smile.
Then explains, "Blitz, Moxxie and I are Imps, and usually fire from Earth isn't supposed to hurt us, but not Blitz. He can actually feel the pain from the fire."
"Hmm, perhaps that is because Blitz's body adapts or adjusts while being raised here, so it might be possible for him to receive some side effects or conditions one way or another," Dr. Person says.
"That seems possible. I guess we never thought that Blitz might have different needs," Moxxie says.
"Well, so far, Blitz doesn't show any signs of any allergies or health problems. At least not from here so far," Dr. Peterson replies.
"That's true. And it will be very difficult for Blitz to be registered to a medical clinic in Imp City,," Moxxie says.
"Yeah. Even though some of us know him for a short time, it's possible some sinners may know him. Blitz is practically unknown to everyone else in Hell," Millie says.
Dr. Peterson thinks a bit, "Hmm." and says, "That would complicate things. From birth, parents do register their children and have files created for their records."
"Are there any medical records you're unable to record?" Moxxie asks.
"Well, I'm unable to determine Blitz's blood type. Since his blood is rather different, it's difficult to work on any form of health problem, blood sugar and other records needed for blood testing," Dr. Peterson says.
"So what do we do in the meantime?" Moxxie asks.
"Well, it will be best to leave things for now. All of Blitz's medical files are safe and locked under room and key. Emilia is the only other person who knows, so they're perfectly safe. Other than that, if you want I can give you a copy of Blitz's medical information so you can try giving him a checkup at your local clinic." Dr. Peterson says.
"That will be best for us to try when we have time," Moxxie says.
"Who knows, we might be able to give Blitz an appointment," Millie says.
Then, Dr. Peterson turns to Blitz, "Other than that, you are still in perfect health. We'll schedule your yearly appointment for next year."
"Thanks Dr. Peterson," Blitz says.
After the appointment, the three Imps return to Hell and are back in their house.
"Well, the doctor appointment doesn't seem bad," Millie says.
"I have to agree. Dr. Peterson seems nice enough, and knows how to give you a medical check up," Moxxie says.
"Thanks. I like him too," Blitz says.
Then asks, "Still, do you think I could get an appointment with the clinic in Imp City."
"We could try, but some of them are not exactly the friendliest people. Then again, a lot of demons aren't friendly in Hell," Moxxie says.
Millie has an idea and suggests, "Maybe we can ask Stolas to help us. After all, the prince is Blitz's special little friend."
"I don't know. Stolas might be busy with his royal task. Besides, I'm not sure if there's anything he can do about me finding a good doctor to go to for appointments," Blitz says.
"You never know until you try. So why not give him a call," Millie says.
"I guess you're right. There's no harm in asking," Blitz replies.
He brings out his Hellphone and begins to dial Stolas' number.
In the Goetia Mansion, Stolas is in his private study as he looks at his grimoire, since he needs it to complete some of his tasks. After some time working, he's able to finish some of his work. He closes the book and yawns in exhaustion. Suddenly, he hears hooting sounds and turns to see his house phone ringing. Smoke comes out to say 'Blitzy is calling.'
Stolas picks up the phone and says, "Hello Blitz."
"Hey Stolas, how are you doing?" Blitz asks.
"Doing good. How about you?" Stolas replies.
"Doing fine. Are you busy?" Blitz replies.
"Not too much, I was able to finish a few tasks. Why do you ask?" Stolas says.
"Well, I was wondering if you can help me out with something. It's kind of hard to explain, but well, is it possible for you to help me get any official documents and medical documents here. I know you're a prince and that you're busy, but I wonder if you can help. I'm kind of considered an alien here if you think about it. So do you think you can help?" Blitz explains.
"Of course I'll give you some help. It shouldn't be too hard to have a few documents made, and I think I know just the doctor to call about your special needs. It shouldn't be too much trouble," Stolas says.
"Okay. Thanks," Blitz says.
"You're welcome, Blitzy. I'll let you know when I made the appointment for you," Stolas says.
Blitz blushes a bit after Stolas calls him that, "Okay, thanks."
Then hangs up the phone. Blitz lets out a sigh, and is a bit embarrassed by the nickname.
A week later, at the Goetia Mansion, Blitz, Moxxie, and Millie are at the mansion to meet up with Stolas and the doctor agrees to give Blitz a checkup and help make official documents. They're in Stolas' study room to meet the doctor.
The doctor appears to be human, but she has pale white skin, long black hair, and her long fingers look like nails, along with her red lips. She has a lanky body and wears a red dress under a white medical coat, and black heels.
The doctor looks at Blitz with a sharp smile and says, "Hello dearie, my name is Koko. Aren't you a cute little Imp."
"Um it's nice to meet you," Blitz says.
"Hello," Moxxie says.
"Hi," Millie says.
"Thank you for assisting us with Blitz's medical fine and checkup," Stolas replies.
"It's no trouble at all. I'm more than happy to assist, your highness," Koko says and let out a rather creepy giggle.
Then turns to Blitz, "So, are you ready for the appointment?"
"Sure," Blitz replies, nodding his head.
And so, Koko performs the same kind of test like Blitz has at his last appointment. Koko checks the height, weight, reflex, hearing, sight, blood pressure, and other essentials. Blitz is a bit weary about Koko and her smile, but she seems decent enough. After dealing with all that, Koko brings out a small needle and uses it to prick Blitz's finger, and draws a little blood from him in order to do some of the blood tests.
"Here, now you just need a few days or so and we'll have the test result figured out," Koko says.
Then hold the result, "And Blitz is as healthy as can be. And now we have some official documents for you."
"Okay. thank you," Blitz says.
Koko giggles and pat Blitz on the head, "I hope you'll come to my clinic as soon as you can. See you around." Then Koko happily leaves without another word.
Millie nervously giggles, "She seems nice."
I have to agree, but she seems official enough," Moxxie replies.
"She seems nice enough, and she seems good at her job," Blitz says.
"I'm glad you think so. Octavia was a little nervous around her at first, but she's actually a very nice doctor when you get to know her. She also gave Via a lollipop," Stolas happily says.
"Anyway, thank you for helping out, Stolas," Blitz says.
"You're welcome. If you need any more help, I think I can be of assistance," Stolas says.
"I think that's alright for now. Thanks for the help," Blitz replies.
"Anytime," Stolas replies.
A few days later, the letter from the doctor has come in today's mail. Blitz takes the letter and opens it in his room. Millie and Moxxie are getting close to them.
"So what did the doctor say?" Millie asks.
"Well, according to the results, it seems my health is healthy enough. And it seems my blood is good as well. And it seems she also got my blood type results," Blitz says.
He arches his eyebrow and questions, "Huh? What's an HB?"
"HB? Really?" Millie asks.
"Um yeah. It said my Blood type is HB Negative. It's a bit weird. I never heard of an HB before," Blitz says.
"Well, it is kind of the blood type Hellborn demons have in Hell. There's Blood Type H, D, and B." Moxxie says.
"That seems different from the blood type on Earth. Although, it makes sense since Hellborn demons have different lives, and yet are similar to Earth one way or another," Blitz says.
Millie smiles and says, "Now you're learning."
"Thank," Blitz says.
Then Millie says, "We're going to get some ice cream. You wanna come?"
Sure," Blitz says.
And so the three leave Blitz's room. It has been busy for the past few days, but it's worth it to help Blitz get a few documents and assistance in Hell.
