Chapter Thirty-six

Once Angelique placed the ordered milkshake in front of the lady, the customer sighed.

"Is something the matter?" Having noticed the distress of the customer, Angelique inquired politely. Could she be feeling uncomfortable here?

"Oh." Hearing Angelique's voice, the customer faced her with a look of surprise. "My apologies. I was caught up in my thoughts."

"Forgive my inquisition but you seem to be quite distressed. I've noticed you sighing and looking outside for a while. Is everything alright?"

"It seems like my dilemma has been restricting me from enjoying your desserts." The female customer weakly smiled. "Actually, my elder sister is getting married soon."

Hearing the customer's story, Angelique flashed a brilliant smile. "Really? That's great news. Congratulations."

"Thank you." In return, the female smiled and continued. "The problem is I can't decide what to give her as a present for her wedding."

The raven haired woman nodded understandably while listening to her. "I think she'll cherish anything you give her."

"I believe so too. But I want to give something meaningful to her and her husband...."

"What about a matching pair of accessories?" Angelique offered, lifting her index finger at the idea. "Matching bracelets, for example."

The other female fell quiet at that. It was an option she hadn't thought of. ". . .It's a great suggestion. What do you think about...."

In the end, Angelique got caught up with discussing more. Since the cafe wasn't relatively busy in the evening, it was fine. After the girl from earlier left as the last customer, not before thanking Angelique for her company and suggestions, Robin turned the sign on the door to 'closed'.

As everyone began to tidy up, Eve looked somewhat intrigued at what the two females were talking about while being so invested. "You were talking to that girl for quite some time. What were you talking about?"

Angelique answered while serving Pannya its dinner. "Her elder sister is getting married. That's why she was asking for suggestions for a wedding present."

"Wedding, huh..." Robin remembered how smiley those two looked. "That's why she was sparkling so much. Weddings really do have that effect."

"You're right." With a smile, she continued watching Pannya eat. A contented sigh escaped her lips. Pannya is so cute...! I'll start preparing dinner after basking a little longer in Pannya's cuteness.

While everyone was doing their own tasks, Guiltia remained deep in thought behind the kitchen counter. He had been listening to their conversation, which had left him contemplating seriously. Having made up his mind, he moved towards the female.

"Angelique."

"Yes?" She raised her head to see his blank yet solemn face.

"Shall we get married?"

"....." Ange stopped cleaning the tables.

"...." Robin stopped scrolling his social media.

"...." Eve froze before he could move upstairs.

"...." Pannya stopped eating.

"........!" The impact of his words caused Angelique to stand up erect. The shock left her speechless.

"Eh-" Eve quickly moved over and clamped his hand over Robin's mouth to prevent him from being loud and ruining their private moment.

"Shh. Don't disturb them." Ange whispered to his pink haired friend. The three bandmates stood there, clumped together and holding their breath in anticipation of what was happening. Even Pannya had its eyes glued on them out of curiosity.

Finding no answer from her, Guiltia inquired calmly. "Why are you silent?"

"A-Ah, w-well," Angelique fumbled with her words. "I'm surprised.... I-It was just... so sudden."

She tried to get over the initial shock. ". . . Are you really sure about that? I mean, you're not being hasty because of the sudden wedding talk, are you?"

Guiltia shook his head, denying her claims. His lavender eyes seemed to pierce her soul with its sincerity. "I confessed my feelings to you and began our relationship with every intention of marriage."

His eyes narrowed in the slightest bit of growing concern. "Do you not feel the same?"

"It's not that!" She quickly assured him by shaking her hands in front of her. Her cheeks got coloured in a noticeable shade of pink as she spoke. "I-I feel the same. . . . You're the only one I want to spend my life with."

A tender expression fell on Guiltia's face at her reply. Taking her hand, he pulled her closer. "I'm truly pleased to hear it."

...I need to give him a proper answer. She realised that she hadn't accepted his proposal yet. She breathed in and out to steady herself. Then, Angelique beamed, like a blooming flower on a sunny day.

"I'd love to get married to you, Guil!"

"CONGRATULATIONS!!!" Ange, Eve and Robin shouted, pulling the two out of their own world.

"Angelique!" The female was no longer in Guiltia's arms but in Ange's who almost jumped at her. "You're getting married. I'm so happy for you!"

"Suddenly proposing like that, you're something else, Guil-san." Grinning, Robin poked the blonde's arms with his elbow. "But to think you two will get married, congrats!!"

"Congratulations, Guil, Angelique." Eve was smiling like a proud guardian. "I wish you two eternal happiness."

"You guys, thank you!" Angelique was overjoyed to see how much everyone blessed them. When her teary eyes met Guiltia's loving eyes, the two realised how lucky they truly were.

.  . .  . . .  .

Later that night, when Guiltia entered his room after completing his shower, he found Angelique waiting for him there.

"You took quite some time." She smiled softly. With a small sigh, Guiltia sat down next to her on the bed.

"Robin gave me an earful after you went away and everyone calmed down. He was saying how I didn't propose in the right way in the right atmosphere."

"Oh..... Well, I don't really want you to get on your knees and propose how it's usually done. It's not like I dislike it but I think it's the feelings that matter."

With a bashful smile, she held his right hand. "And I really liked your straightforward proposal. It's just like you to ask me to marry you so suddenly." She quickly added, "But I was really surprised, you know. I wasn't expecting to be asked for my hand in marriage at that moment."

Seeing Angelique giggle so joyfully, Guiltia found himself chuckling at his action too. He really did spring it up out of the blue, didn't he?

The man was caught off guard when Angelique wrapped her arms around him without any notice. She rested her head on his chest and laughed quietly.

"I'm so happy right now, really. We're getting married.... I'm still having trouble processing this fact." She felt him hold her by her waist. We'll be tied together in a matrimonial bond, everyone is here with us and we can create the music we love- I'm so incredibly happy right now.

"Guil. . . Are you happy as well?" Even though her voice got muffled in his shirt, he still heard her. She felt his lips on top of her head.

"You're willing to accept all of me and stay with me for your whole life. How can I not be happy?"

"There's one more thing I want to discuss with you before we sleep." The comfortable silence got broken when he suddenly spoke up. "What are your views on a wedding ceremony?"

Pulling away from the embrace to look into her eyes, Guiltia resumed speaking, "Robin also told me how significant a wedding ceremony is in a woman's life. Is it the same for you?"

She fell quiet for a second. ".....Yes... I dreamed of becoming a bride when I was a child."

"Do you still dream of it?" Guiltia stroked her cheeks with his left hand, making her sigh softly and lean towards his touch.

"...I do. I'd like to become your bride."

"....Very well." Guiltia seemed to have come to a conclusion. "I would be rather content with making you my wife by legal documents as soon as I can. But since a ceremony holds such importance, let's hold one."

A frown soon appeared on his brows. "There must be plenty of preparations needed for a ceremony. I know nothing about the preparations but I'm certain it'll take quite some time for us to get married."

"A small-scale ceremony should do. I don't think we'd prefer anything grand or large. Still, it would take nearly a year or so."

"How unfortunate. I wanted to make you mine right away." He grunted lightly. .... I want to be your wife quickly too. I want to make you mine and offer my all to you. Both of them were enamoured with one another.

"We don't have to wait a year to get married legally, I think. As long as we fill out the marriage registration form, we'll become husband and wife according to the rules." She informed.

Her smile told her what her intention was. "How about we officially get married first? The ceremony can take place later."

Guiltia was on board with her idea.

.  . .  . . .  .

According to their decision, Guiltia and Angelique had submitted their marriage registration form in the city hall. Once it got accepted, they became a married couple under law. Of course, there was a celebration in Cafe Prism for them. At night, after the party had ended, the newlywed couple had retreated to Guiltia's room. There, the two held their own private ceremony.

It was Angelique's request to exchange vows. Seeing that she really wanted to do so, Guiltia complied with her wish. If this would make her happy then why not? With the Scarlet Moon as their only witness, the two faced each other and held hands.

"Guil, just like how you've been by my side, I will also stay by your side. This will remain the same in the future." Angelique didn't need to wear a wedding dress to be radiant. Guiltia was sure there was no other bride as blinding as her.

"Destiny has brought us together. I swear to bring you happiness, Angelique. No matter what challenges the future may bring, I won't lose sight of you or our love." Guiltia kissed the ring finger of her left hand to seal his oath. Guil....

"I'll bare myself to you. So, give your everything to me as well." Guiltia began closing the gap between them until their faces were only inches apart. Their eyes remained locked. "Your heart, your soul and your destiny."

Angelique whispered against his lips, heart full to the brim with emotions. "I have long given myself to you. This life has no meaning without you in it."

Their lips met in a longing kiss. What started as a kiss of promise soon evolved into an intimate night.

"Ah.......... haah........... ha........."

Angelique and Guiltia's ragged breathing filled the otherwise silent room. The air turned heavy from the effect of their unsteady breaths. Sweats rolling down their bodies glistened under the light. Their chests rose and fell at the same pace, as if their hearts had become one.

"....! G-Guil..........Nhhh......Guil.....Aah!"

Angelique was left as a moaning mess. She cocked her head to the side to let Guiltia have more access to her neck. Her cardigan was already on the floor, and her dress wasn't in any modest situation either. She shivered when he tugged her dress, allowing the straps to tangle off her shoulder. The upper part of her chest was displayed with her dress being down. The wall behind her felt cold amidst their heated intimacy.

"....Guil..ah!...T-The lights..." She could clearly feel her knees going weaker by the second. Her arms were loosely wrapped around his neck, offering her the least bit of strength to keep standing. His hands behind her waist mostly supported her at this rate.

"I know every inch of your body.... Angelique." He murmured huskily against her collarbone. She stifled a whimper when he nibbled her skin between his teeth. ". . . There's no use.... trying to hide yourself... from me."

Her fingers got entangled in his hair after he removed her ribbon tying her hair while he moved his face lower. His lips, hot and wet, trailed down her skin, leaving occasional love bites everywhere. She had to bite her lips to refrain from making any loud noise.

"You're too exotic....... my Angelique......" He grunted. "....You know how to.....haah....... draw the beast.... out of me." She drew a sharp breath when he sucked and left a fresh bright red hickey. "It's like....my heart and my mind.... mmh... will go out of control."

His words, boosted by his sexy voice, served to fuel the fire burning inside her. She breathed out her reply while her mind kept spinning. "...I-It's not on purpose. . . . . But you're . . . . doing the same to me . . intentionally......."

"......I want to fill your mind.... with only thoughts of me." She could feel him smirk on her skin. "Is that wrong?"

". . . N......No."

Guiltia smashed their lips in a steamy kiss. The flapping of their tongues, their lips meeting over and over again, the little grunts escaping their throats- the noises echoed in the room.

The blonde kept their foreheads joined after pulling away from the kiss. He took a second to burn the seductive and forbidden sight in his mind. Angelique's eyes, hazy and misty from the heat of their love, stared only at him. Emerging from her cheeks, the crimson blush had spread to her neck. Her long raven strands stuck to the side of her face because of sweat. She looked completely at his mercy.

Guiltia wasn't any better though. His emotions were getting the best of him, throwing away his calm side- the proof was his eyes glowing red. He inhaled and exhaled sharply with his mouth open. Ruffled hairs only served to make him look hotter. The beads of sweat slowly descended his neck and trailed down his chest, which was exposed thanks to his shirt being nearly undone.

"Haah....... You really do drive me crazy, Angelique."

"Ahh..." He began to slowly unzip her dress completely. His fingertips lovingly caressed her spine, leaving a trial of warmth behind.

"Your eyes are asking for more." Guiltia smirked coyly. "If that's what you wish, then I'll gladly comply with your wishes."

"...!" Her heart thumped when she recognized the fire in his eyes as the same one as hers.

Basking in each other's love, Guiltia and Angelique consummated their marriage. Their first night as a wedded couple was full of euphoria as they kept reaffirming their love till dawn.

To be continued...
