Chapter Six

It had been afternoon by the time all four of the vampires woke up. Angelique returned from work early and helped make her supper and their breakfast.

"Mmm....the coffee you make is really good, Angelique," Eve hummed in delight. "It tastes strangely similar to Guil's coffee."

The girl shook her head. "No way, Guil-san's coffee is much more refined and in a completely different level." She took her seat between Ange and Robin. "That aside, you look quite relaxed today."

"Did you have a good sleep?" Robin asked.

"Yes," Eve confessed, "Actually, sleeping on a futon is nice."

The pinkette chuckled. "Didn't I tell you so?" His eyes noticed the blonde man, freshly out of shower, enter the dining area. He greeted him in English, "good morning." Angelique and Eve also greeted him. Though it's 'good evening' to me.

"Morning." Guiltia stopped in his tracks. Seeing that, Ange got up from his seat.

"Guil."

"Ange." The two called themselves at the exact same time. Guiltia decided to ask, "what is it?"

"About the Visual Prison..."

A tiny sigh escaped Guiltia's lips, having expected that topic. He ran his fingers through his blond hair. "You three are going to enter, aren't you?"

"The song's not done yet, but I decided that I would sing."

"The Scarlet Moon shines brightest far into autumn. The last day of October is the main day of festivities for the Visual Prison."

"The main day?"

"The most beautiful song sung on that day will receive a blessing from the Scarlet Moon."

"Huh? So you only need to sing on that day?" Robin inquired.

"Yes, that is correct. And if you have the confidence to defeat Lost Eden and Eclipse then go for it." Guiltia's words hit Eve and Robin right where it hurt.

Angelique spoke out, nodding her head, "That's true. Lost Eden and Eclipse always have a live show on the last day of October. And they hold their lives in a more spacious place."

"Really?"

"Mm." She took a look at Robin, Eve and Ange. "Their fanbase is huge so unless OZ creates its own fanbase, I'm afraid OZ can't win the Visual Prison."

"Eh?? Why?" Robin pouted.

"Let's just say it this way... on that day, people will already be excited to attend Lost Eden and Eclipse's lives. If OZ, a unit that no one has ever seen before, suddenly appears, do you think people will miss out on their beloved Lost Eden and Eclipse's lives for OZ?" The girl had a serious look on her face. "I know this sounds harsh but this is how reality revolves."

Her seriousness evaporated and she whined. "Do you know how hard it is to choose between Lost Eden and Eclipse every year!?"

"Angelique is right." Guiltia claimed. He turned his gaze to the opposite side. "Music...is unleashed on the stage and shines even brighter every time it excites the masses. At least, that's what I think." Robin and Eve nodded, understanding the meaning behind their words.

Those are wise words coming from a professional. . . But, at that moment, just for a brief second, his eyes looked.... nostalgic?

"Guil, I-"

"Ange." Guiltia cut him off, saying what he had intended to say in the beginning. "If you three are going to enter the Visual Prison, there's something you must do first."

"Eh? What's that?"

"You will need outfits for performing in the Visual Prison."

"Right! We forgot about it!" Robin exclaimed.

"But where do we get our outfits?" Confused, the brunette asked.

The tall blonde advised, "if you're looking for the best outfits, then I suggest you go to Rougelian."

"Rougelian? You mean to Elizabeth?"

"Yes."

"I got it." Ange turned to his teammates. "Let's go to Rougelian right away."

"Y-You're going to meet Beth-sama?!!" Angelique thought out loud, hands covering her cheeks.

Ange made a face. "Aren't you coming with us too?"

"Eh...." Robin grabbed her wrist and pulled her up with a cheeky grin. "Let's go! Nii-san might be there as well! Then you can fangirl over them to your heart's content."

Jack-kun and Beth-sama.... She blinked before realising that she was being dragged along by the three. "EH...?!?!?"

Their food remained cold on the table.

W-W-W-What should I do!? It's really Beth-sama and Jack-kun!!!  Angelique peaked from behind Eve, who was hiding behind a curtain. Though she had met them before and even talked to them, how could she even think of fangirling in those dire situations? But now, she was standing in Elizabeth's store, who was discussing things with Ange. Robin's hunch was proved to be correct, for even Jack was there!

I got dragged to Rougelian but now what do I do?! It's Jack-kun and Beth-sama right before me!! Her mind screamed.

"If someone needs an outfit for the Visual Prison, I will equally accept their request. Even if it happens to be..." the owner of Rougelian glared at Eve, "his."

"I'm sorry." Eve looked away, quietly.

"Don't greet me with an apology."

"But..."

Jack, who had been holding onto Robin, screeched, "Why'd you bring a hunter in here?"

Robin had a smug look on his face. "Don't worry. I'll protect you, nii-san."

"And you even brought the human girl here," Elizabeth locked eyes with Angelique. The sudden shift of attention made her unable to hold back her squeak.

"Angelique really likes Lost Eden so we brought her along," Robin answered happily.

"Heh... so you're one of our fans." Jack relaxed a bit since the spotlight was on the girl now.

"Honestly, I had a hunch that you're our fan," Elizabeth pointed out.

"E-Eh?! H-How..."

"Exactly from that face," he pointed out. "You have this dreamy look on your face."

"H-Huh!?" She clasped her hands on her cheeks. "D-Do I look weird...?" No way! I can't believe I have a strange look in front of Beth-sama and Jack-kun!! She cried.

"No." The owner of Rougelian stood up and stepped towards Angelique and Eve. "I meant it as a compliment. The dreamy look you have is simply adorable." !!!!

Elizabeth stood right before her. "And I love nothing more than beautiful things, Angelique."

Her cheeks became red from her high emotions. "I-I-"

"Oh dear, it seems like you can't take it anymore," the male backed away with a small smile on his face. "It's amusing to see how much effect Lost Eden has over you."

I-I can't think straight...!

"Lost Eden always appreciates the fans who listen to our music," Jack said. He found the courage to come out of his hiding. "Hey, hey, what do you like most about us? It's not everyday that I can always ask for a fan's input."

"What I like the most...." Angelique didn't need to ponder over it because the answer was at the tip of her tongue. "Of course, it's Lost Eden's music. Your songs tell me to live my life in my own way. It gives me a sense of . . freedom." Before she realised, she gave a full explanation of her adoration for Lost Eden.

"Wow...you really do like us, don't you?" Jack wondered.

Once the realisation stuck in, Angelique's face flared. I-I ended up blurting out all of my feelings...!!!! How embarrassing!!!

Elizabeth chuckled. Wasn't she such a faithful fan of theirs? "Now then, why don't I give you some time to cool down while I talk business with Ange?" He returned to his seat and used his magic wand to make different sorts of coloured clothing fly around the room.

He asked Ange, "What are you...no. What is OZ going to sing? What is the colour that suits your feelings the most?"

Ange took hold of the blue cloth in his palm. "The sky...I want to go beyond it... with the four of us..."

'Four'..? Does he also mean...

The white haired man nodded firmly. "Then I promise you the best attire."

The jingling of the bells of the store echoed. "Ahoy there!"

"N-No way..!" Angelique's hands flew to her mouth and her eyes sized up. T-This voice... It's Dimitri-sama..!!

"Oh, it's Eclipse," Elizabeth got up and swiftly took out a package.

"Echigoya, I have come for the goods," Dimitri's voice could be heard.

"Are the outfits we asked for the other day ready?" H-Hyde-sama!?

"Woah, even Eclipse is here! Aren't you lucky, Angelique?" Robin patted her head as everyone followed after the owner to see the customers.

"Hyde, what on earth is wrong with your partner?"

"He just finished shooting a period drama."

"Seriously, you should pick better work."

"I only care about making my little lambs happy." Angelique's heart thumped when Dimitri said that.

"Oh, if it isn't Ange." Hyde noticed Ange, Robin and Eve arriving while Angelique clung to Ange's jacket, hiding behind him.

It's really Eclipse!! Hnnngh!! They look so beautiful even in their daily lives!!! She mentally slapped her cheeks. No, wait!! I have to ask why they helped me before.

The blonde man locked eyes with Eve. "What a peculiar little gathering we have here: vampires, a human and a kinslayer. Do you not like that name? Though you are using your powers correctly. The strong who prey on the weak are nothing but garbage. Kill as many as you please. Actually..." His eyes fell on Robin.

"M-Me?"

Dimitri glared. "You fed upon a human, didn't you, Jack?"

"How did you find out?" The raven asked.

His partner answered in his stead. "Prohibiting vampires from feeding upon humans- that was the new rule we, Eclipse, put in place."

"Why did you break it?"

"Hang on! If you've got a problem with my brother-" Jack put a stop to Robin. "Rules this, rules that. I'm in Lost Eden. Do you really think I care? I just did it because I wanted to. That's all."

A smirk appeared on the blunette's face. "I was a fool to ask the lot that swears to destroy the Scarlet Moon anything."

As a staring competition broke out between the members of Lost Eden and Eclipse, Ange opened his mouth. "Why? Why did you prohibit vampires from feeding upon humans?"

Dimitri's gaze hardened, his voice not holding an ounce of hesitation. "In order to protect the humans. And we already have nine Scarlet Tears."

"We plan to set forth a new rule this year."

"Don't forget that we also have nine Scarlet Tears," Jack reminded. "Once we get the tenth one this year, we'll destroy the Scarlet Moon."

"Hmph! We shall see," Dimitri let out.

"Shall we get back to business?" Elizabeth clapped his hands to get everyone's attention. "I also have my hands full with OZ's outfits."

"We apologise. We shall get right to trying out the clothes." Hyde stepped forwards, Dimitri following behind as Elizabeth led them to the dressing room.

Having listened to their conversations silently, a new understanding dawned upon Angelique. Her eyes stared after Eclipse's retreating figures.

.  . .  . . .  .

I'm the luckiest fangirl in the whole universe.... Angelique's grey eyes were shining. She got to witness Eclipse try out their outfits to make sure everything was perfect. Now she couldn't hide the huge smile while she gazed at the two finishing their talk with Elizabeth. They had sent their butler, David, to get their car ready.

"I'm so happy...." She dreamily muttered to herself, leaning against her brother. I got to see my beloved Lost Eden AND Eclipse so closely! Kyaaa!! Can this day get any better?!

With a strained smile, Ange nudged her. "Don't you have something to ask them?"

"!!!" I forgot about it for a moment! "Mm!"

Just as the two were about to leave the shop, Angelique hastily walked towards them. "U-Um, Hyde-sama, Dimitri-sama!"

They tilted their heads to look at her. "What is it, little lamb?" Dimitri asked.

D-Dimitri-sama called me little lamb.... No! Focus properly, Angelique!! "I-I want to ask you something." She took a deep breath to calm down and then looked at both of them. "... Why did you take the punishment from the Scarlet Moon because of me?. . . You could've opted to erase my memories but you didn't. Instead, you protected them.... why?"

The tall blonde let out a throaty chuckle. "It seems Guil told you everything."

"Yes. . I insisted that he tell me."

"What if we say something selfish like....." Dimitri leaned down to her height, "we wanted you all to ourselves, little lamb?"

"Then wouldn't you have taken me away once I fainted? But you didn't, so I don't think that's the case."

"That's a good answer," the blunette grinned, now back in his usual clothes. "How about we enlighten you while we're on a little date? This place isn't suitable for our talk."

"Mm." She nodded, the curiosity in her growing. It took her a second to think back on what Dimitri actually said. . . . . A date?

He told Ange. "We'll be sure to drop the princess home before curfew."

"Huh?!" And in the blink of an eye, Angelique was sitting between Eclipse in their limo that David had just pulled out.

Meanwhile, Ange was in shock. "Wha-wait....! . . . . .They're gone."

"Honestly, those two..." Elizabeth, who was still standing there, shook his head in exasperation. "Don't worry, Ange. Those two may be idiots but they won't harm Angelique."

Jack, Robin and Eve walked behind the white haired. The latter two became confused at the sudden disappearance of their raven friend.

Sighing, Elizabeth clapped his hands. "Hey, we still have a lot to discuss regarding your outfits. Hurry up and come here."

Ange decided to put his faith in Eclipse while OZ joined Elizabeth.

To be continued...
