08 Days Before the Hour of Despair

As the next morning rolled by, Y/n L/n (Kenneth Parker) was packing all of his things to get ready to move to the new orphanage that would be perfect for him to live in after the owner of the orphanage knew about his late Uncle Henry that died during the war since he was in the army and Y/n inherited his own weapons, a handgun and his trusty knife. Y/n (Kenneth) understands about this situation, and he doesn't care where he ends up at.

He doesn't care if the caretaker, who runs the orphanage was using the building to keep so many innocent children for the inheritance money from their late parents once they're all turned 18 years old while treating them as prisoners or their own personal slaves.

You see, Y/n's (Kenneth's) parents are considered as both neglectful and abusive parents as they treated their own son very badly and you can tell by the many scars all over his body that soon broken his son's spirit. Eventually, Y/n (Kenneth) had enough of this kind of abuse as he managed to come up with a revenge plan against his own parents. Y/n (Kenneth) used his intelligence to create multiple hidden cameras that he carefully placed around the house and hid all of the recorded evidence someplace where his parents wouldn't even bother looking into when they both decided to snoop around his room, which is the basement.

By the time that Y/n (Kenneth) called the police on them, they were immediately arrested for their crimes and were both given the death penalty as it also turns out that they were both bank robbers and they weren't exactly Y/n's (Kenneth's) own parents as it's been revealed that they both killed them in cold blood during a house robbery and Y/n (Kenneth) was taken as a hostage to do chores around their own home while keeping him locked up in the basement to keep him from exposing them.

With no other family member to take care of him, Y/n (Kenneth) was soon sent to Playtime Co. to live in Playcare, where he is being watched over by the Smiling Critters as the caretakers of Playcare.

It wasn't too hard for Y/n to handle any other kid that decided to bully Y/n (Kenneth) for no reason as he managed to fight back as he instantly knows how to do hand-to-hand combat, which made the other kids gasp in shock after he managed to teach the kid a lesson without breaking an arm or two, causing them to both respect and fear of Y/n (Kenneth) as he is well-known throughout Playtime Co. as "Poppy's Angel".

The reason why he was given that title is because he not only knows how to defend himself, but also shown kindness and generosity towards the kids of Playcare. Whenever they needed something like a candy bar or a box of crayons, Y/n (Kenneth) will definitely get those things for them as he is like a ninja that no one can't even catch, and they didn't see him coming on how stealthy he is.

What's even more strange and interesting about Y/n (Kenneth) is that strange birthmark on Y/n's (Kenneth's) right hand. Nobody knows how Y/n (Kenneth) got that birthmark when he was born, but it looked like an ancient symbol or marking from an ancient group of warriors or something like that through ancient history and Y/n's (Kenneth's) ancestors might be related to Y/n (Kenneth) in some way.

Eventually, he gained the Smiling Critter's interest even before the Prototype and Darku made their appearance upon meeting CatNap aka Sleep Demon and after he and his friends, the Smiling Critters made a deal with Darku to become the Dark Creatures. They took a liking to Y/n (Kenneth) after he arrived at Playcare and seen how tough and kind he is towards the people of Playtime Co. and the kids at Playcare.

They can see how much pain and suffering coming from Y/n (Kenneth) after they were shocked when they saw the scars from his body that was given to him by the two crooks that killed his own parents in cold blood and use him as their own personal slave that eventually broke his own mind and spirit that toughen him up.

Then as time went on after the Smiling Critters made a deal with Darku, they decided to let Y/n (Kenneth) join their group as Y/n (Kenneth) has been through the same path of both abuse and neglect as they did, but when they found out about Y/n (Kenneth) moving to a new orphanage, they were all crestfallen that their own beloved angel of Playcare as both CatNap and DogDay decided to say their goodbyes to Y/n (Kenneth) before he leaves Playcare to live at his new home at the Lonely Hills Orphanage.

As soon as Y/n (Kenneth) finished packing all of his belongings in his suitcase, CatNap and DogDay entered the room to say their goodbyes to their beloved Angel.

CatNap: Hello there, Angel.

Y/n (Kenneth): Huh? (Turns to CatNap) Oh. Hello CatNap. Hello DogDay.

DogDay: Hey there, Angel. We heard that you're leaving to go live at another orphanage. Are you sure you don't want to stay here with us?

CatNap: Yeah? Aren't you worried about what will happen to you if you end up in that orphanage you'll end up at? They could be just as cruel as those two who killed your parents and treated you like a slave.

Y/n (Kenneth): Guys. It's fine. I can take care of myself, and I can deal whoever is in charge of the orphanage if they are just as cruel and sadistic as those crooks that killed my parents and treated me as their own slave. Plus, I understand that you two and the other Smiling Critters will miss me when I go, but I will always remember you guys within the bottom of my heart.

CatNap: We will always love and remember you too, Angel. I hate to see you go, but we will never forget you, Angel.

DogDay: Me too. You were always the best kid in the entire Playcare and even the entire factory himself. Everyone is gonna miss you when you're gone to another orphanage.

Y/n: Aww thanks guys. I hope maybe one day we'll cross path again one day.

CatNap: We'll see, Angel....We'll see...

DogDay: Well, I think you better get going, Angel. The co-workers that are in charge of taking you to the orphanage are probably waiting for you at the cable car.

Y/n (Kenneth): Oh! Right, I forgot! (Grabs his things) I'll miss you guys.

He then gave them both one last hug to say goodbye, which they immediately hugged back before Y/n (Kenneth) started running out the doors of Playcare to meet up with the two co-workers at the cable car as he gave one last look at Playcare before getting on the cable car to get a move on to his new home at the Lonely Hills Orphanage in Downtown Creation City.

CatNap and DogDay watched Y/n (Kenneth) riding through the cable car until it went through the hole that will lead them out of Playcare.

CatNap: Darn it! I thought we would have our precious Angel to join our side as one of us! But the company had to take him away to another orphanage to prevent us from us convincing Y/n (Kenneth) to join our cause!

DogDay: Don't worry, buddy. We may have lost our angel, but we can still try to convince him to join us once we take over this hellhole that they call our home. Darku can help us track Y/n (Kenneth) down once we achieve our goal to take over Playtime Co. Then after we all managed to rule this accursed toy factory with an iron fist, we will spread our power to the outside world and put out an all-out search for our precious angel. It will take some time, but we have all the time in the world to find our angel.

CatNap: You know what? You're absolutely right, DogDay. We may have lost our Angel that flew away from our grasp, but once we are done with some unfinished business with the people in this toy factory that is nothing but a prison to us, then we will find our angel and we will clip his wings, so he will never fly away from us ever again. The Hour of Despair is upon us and we have a lot to plan before the big day at the stroke of midnight.

Then as Y/n (Kenneth) has left Playtime Co. to live at Lonely Hills Orphanage, the Smiling Critters' love for Y/n (Kenneth) still lingers within their toy hearts as they will go look for him no matter how long it takes to make it happen by the time they finally managed to get their revenge on the scientists of Playtime Co. once and for all and rule the entire toy factory before they began their reign of terror upon the entire world.

Better prepare yourselves everyone...
