Morrigan's POV:

There was a soft knock on my door and voice:
"Are you awake Miss?"
"Huh? I mean... Come in Kedgeree." I said, standing up from my octopus armachair. The concierge came inside and handed me small handwrited piece of paper.

Morning: Sign the contracts about Black Mail,
Eve: Frank's start-of-summer party.

"Is this the plan for today?"
Kedgeree said:
"This one stuff around Black Mail you have about hour, but I think, Mr Jack is little bit nervous, so I guess, maybe he'll want to talk with you. By the way, you both don't have to be in that Frank's party, but I'm afraid, he want to do a gala, so..." he shrugged helplessly.
"Don't worry Kedgeree. I will talk with Jack and if he will be alright, we'll come. If you want, I can bring my friends to help."
Kedgeree smiled.
"That's great Miss, thank you."
"It's okay. Now, where is Jack?"
"In his room I suppose." told me Kedge, then added:
"And don't forget you brollies." and he went away. I sighed deeply, brought my oilskin umbrella and went to Jack's room.
"Hi Jack! Everything alright?" I asked, when he opened the door. He ran hand trought his black hair.
"Hello Morrigan. Can we go?"
I gave him a confused nod. Kedgeree was right. Jack really wasn't okay. When we were walking downstairs, I quietly asked:
"Hay Jack? What's going on with you?"
Jack said:
"I'll... tell you then."
I just sighed, but kept quiet.

"Look, look, who is here?" said the familiar voice from the Whinging Woods. I tried to ignore it, but my stomach did a strange skip.
'No, I really don't want a troubles! Not today.'
Jack looked at the forest, but I whispered:
"Shh. Ignore it, will you?"
He nodded discreetly and looked back at the road. Heloise stepped from the shadow of trees, with her band of Charlton's candidates.
"Hm... You're afraid of me, Wundersmith?"
I took a deep breath. I felt a spark.
"Do shut up." I said quietly.
Heloise giggled.
"Because what, if I won't? I didn't come here, because of you. Who is your interesting friend?" she put the tip of her throwing star to the top of her nose.
"Or I should say... a boyfriend?"
I wanted to say something, but Jack outpaced me.
"Hey, do shut up, will you?" he said and stood next to me. Heloise narrowed her eyes.
"Wait, wait! You are not a Wun. Oh, Wundersmith have a knackless boyfriend!" she threw out over her shoulder to her friends and they laughed. Jack stepped forward and I realised, that he didn't has and eyepatch.
"Who says, I'm knackless?" he said quietly.
"Maybe I have a better knack, than you." he continued. Heloise laughed, then said:
"Firstly, un-Wuns aren't aloved to the Proudfoot curtains. Secondly, we don't like liars. And thirtly, I'm not afraid of you. I'm still that older one."
Jack declared with stone-like face:
"It's a lie. I know you Heloise. You don't know, what my knack is, but you're afraid of it. You know, that I'm not her boyfriend. And I'm surely not knackless. You have a knackless boyfriend, Heloise. I'm sorry to say it like that." then he grabbed my arm and pulled me to the Proudfoot House.
"That was..." I started when we stepped inside the building.
"I don't like to be so rude like this, I really don't, but..." Jack interupted me apologetically.
"No! That was brilliant!" I said. He smirked and sat to the one of chairs in the lobby. I sat as well and asked:
"So... What was that thing, what you wanted to say me later?"
"I... just wanted to..." he didn't end the sentence, because the door opened and a boy stepped inside. He was same high as Jack was, but he had things, what I never can imagine on Jack. He had a blonde hair, blue eyes, he was wearing a white T-shirt and the blue jeans. In the moment, when I saw him, I realised...

... that I will probably hate him.
Jack rose up from his chair and shook his hand with boy.
"Hi Tom."
"Hi Jack."
Oh well, so this was Tommy?! I stood up. Jack said:
"Morrigan, this is my mate Tommy. Tom, this is... erm... just Morrigan."
"Hi Morrigan, nice to meet you." said Tom with a "handsome" grin. He was talking to me like to a child!
'Yep, I will hate him. Pretty sure about it.' I thought and (ice in voice) I said:
"Of course, nice to meet you too, Tom."

When we signed the contracts, we all went outside. Around the Proudfoot House wasn't anything to prove, that Charlton's Five were there.
"Must go. Jack, you have some clothes and stuff in doormitory. Here. My keys. Have a good Holliday you two. Hope, we'll meet sometime. Bye!" said Tommy, gave Jack his keys and walked down the road. When he dissapeared behind the gates, Jack asked me:
"So, what... do you think about him?"
I just silently stared forward, because we both knew the answer. He nodded.
"Well, I agree. Maybe he isn't one of the best people in the world. But... he is my friend. And I know, you won't believe me, but he can be fine."
"Mhm." I muttered ironically.
"That was that thing, what you were worried about." I pointed then. Jack shrugged, trying to hide a little smile. I took a theatrically deep breath and contunied with raised eyebrow.
"Hope, you aren't jealous..."
He made a disgusted face and I grinned. After one or two minutes I turned my face to him and laughed shortly.
"Am I so ugly?"

Jack just quickly looked away and said nothing.
