(Annabeth's POV)
It was the day.
The date.
And i had nothing to wear.
I mean, I had swimsuits...but they were old and tight.
And i'm not wearing one of them around a boy..alone.
I sighed and grabbed some old shorts and a tank top.
It wasn't beach material, but it was swim worthy.
I grabbed a hair tie and pulled my hair up.
Truly, I was excited.
I put on my sandals and grabbed a tote bag filled with sunscreen, sunglasses, a towel, and some snacks.
A few moments later, I heard a honk.
It was Jackson.
I raced down the stairs, said bye to my mom, and casually walked down the driveway like i hadn't just ran down the stairs like a kid on Christmas morning.
Jackson smiled and opened the door for me.
That's when i realized.
He was shirtless.
I quickly avoided looking at him to be polite and not creepy.
I got in the van and i could tell they're was a smirk on his face.
"Ey, I don't mind if you have a looksie loo" he said.
I blushed and peeked over at him as he drove.
He was wearing blue swim trunks with little palm trees on them.
I looked farther up.
He wasn't BUFF, but he was muscular. He had a nice six pack going on.
I then noticed a tattoo of two eyes above his belly button.
Forming a face.
I choked back a laugh.
The guy was a badboy type, but he was so childlike at the same time.
"I like your tattoo" i commented.
"Thanks, I like your face." He replied.
I chuckled and blushed.
"Thanks."
"No prob, Wise girl."
We finally reached our destination.
It was a large lake surrounded by dense forest.
Over the lake was a cliff with a rickety looking slide with graffiti all over it.
Jackson grinned and hopped out of the van. I followed, setting down my bag and spreading out a towel.
"What do you think?" He said, the grin still on his face.
I looked around.
"I think it's awesome and unique"
Truly, the place was unique and awesome.
It looked like it was a private teen hangout or something, but it looked fun.
"Are you the only one who comes here?" I asked.
Jackson shook his head.
"This place has been here since the 80's, I've gone here since i was a kid, there are parties here sometimes, there's even a makeout-"
"Okay, okay, let's swim" i said, chuckling nervously.
Jackson nodded, a tint of pink on his face and he ran right into the water.
I followed, and i yelped as the water dropped down in depth, but Percy grabbed me and helped me up.
"T-thanks" i said. It's weird to have a small lake like that drop in depth so quickly. Maybe i should calculate-
"You're welcome" he said.
He walked to the deep part and started treading water. I followed and did the same. Jackson then splashed me.
Oh, it's on, rocker boy.
I splashed him fast and quick.
He smirked and dumped water on me with his hands.
I giggled and splashed him again.
Jackson laughed and we splashed each other until he said.
"Wanna go on the slide?"
