So, I want to start this review by talking about the characters. I thought the characters were interesting and I liked that abuse was brought up in this story since I usually don't see abuse too much in young adult books to begin with. But there was one thing about one of the characters that bothered me when reading the story. That being Oliver. Now when first being introduced to Oliver in an earlier chapter, the dialogue doesn't really specify that he was black whatsoever and it is made to believe that he is white and from England. Now I am not saying that are no black people from England, but it was just never made clear that he was black and not white which confused me when I saw a bit of dialogue saying he was black and when beforehand, it was never mentioned at all. So, you might to want mention what his skin color is when first describing him because that would help to define what nationality he is so, people don't get confused later on in the story.

Plus I saw no grammar errors in your story. Plus I thought the pacing was nice.

Overall, it's a good story and would recommend it to anyone who loves reading books like it.
