Review #9

Feral Child by: kiama771

I want to say that I like the idea of having a book about a family adopting a child who grew up in the forest or wild and have to adjust to having a child who has no human contact for years and the same can be said for the child.

I haven't really read stories on this topic since not many people seem to write about this sort of thing often and I wish more people did this because it definitely makes for a good story and plot on how both the family and child deal with not only with each other but with society as well.

But I also want to point out something as well in this review and it's that you have a few grammatical errors in your chapters. Like for example, you spelled burying as burning which I don't know if it was a mistake or an auto correct on your part or but I would make sure to go back and fix that since it sounds like he's burning or something when he isn't and you spelled ways as away which is grammatically incorrect. Plus, there doesn't seem to be a lot of commas in your sentences when you wrote it which isn't a bad thing but it's important to add commas in your sentences because it helps to break the sentences down a bit.

I would also like to see how the boy interacts a bit more with his two  animal families since we only get dialogue and narrative telling us about it rather through actions.

I would also like to see later on in the book about what happened to his biological parents since I am sure he must have since he was found in the woods. Plus why was he in a lab out in the middle of nowhere? And wouldn't reporters or someone had talked to them about all of this and what had happened to the boy and the parents? I mean if the boy was raised by animals, shouldn't they have taken him to a hospital or had a doctor come and look at him to see if he had any sort of problem with his body or mental health besides having an ape curve in his hands for some reason? I mean I wasn't raised by apes or anything but I am pretty sure that people can't get that ape curve in their hands just because they were raised by apes.

Plus I don't think wolves and apes live in the same habitat as each other. They both live in forests but if you have seen a lot of documentaries or have been to a forest where wolves or apes live then you should know that normally wolves and apes don't live in the same habitat unless it's like a rescue center.

Overall it has potential but I would mostly work on grammar and putting commas where they needed and research a bit more on wolf and ape habitats.

Anyway that's the review and all I have to say about this book. Thanks for requesting me to review it.
