For the lovely, lovely Rozberryxoxo you are the sweetest person I haven't warred with. Everyone go follow that person, or I won't update.

Unedited.

Silence. It was cold, heavy and awkward. It was tense and left Sophie's ears ringing.

Those teal eyes burned into her. They were hurt but upset, they were kind and soft, but they were also hard and cold. Sophie's fingers drummed on the arm of her chair, causing a dull thrump, to sound through the room. Telepathy class, had become a cold atmosphere, it had become awkward and tense.

Thrump.

Nothing. Fitz sat staring at her, not transmitting, not speaking, he sat as still as a statue.

Thrump.

He was studying her. Observing her, like she was some kind of unknown specimen.

Thrump.

Fitz always seemed to start off the class, he had always taken the first step. He lead her ahead, he pushed her to her limits without pushing past the line.

Thrump.

The dull sound, was short, and didn't even reach the walls, to echo. Sophie hadn't moved either. She knew Fitz wanted her to open up and tell him what was wrong, but he was the one keeping the truth from her.

Thrump!

The drum of her anger made a bit louder noise. Fitz's eyes went to her hand for a moment before looking back up at her. He was waiting, he was stubborn as Sophie was. Sophie refused to move her hand again. She glared at those eyes, those eyes that made her heart pound like a jackhammer, the eyes that caused her stomach to tumbled and turn in ways nothing else could.

The eyes that felt like they were staring at her soul, like they were seeing who she truly was. Those eyes that reminded her of a dark teal blue sky, with silver stars dancing in them, Sophie wanted to get lost in that world of bliss. The breathlessness of it all, the beauty of it. Sir Tiergan cleared his throat. Sophie and Fitz's gaze didn't waver. "You two seem to have some differences to work out between each other. So I'll leave you to it. Usually telepathy class was free time, but Sophie didn't want free time, she needed a distraction, something that'd get her mind off of Brant.

Tiergan stood up and left. Thirty seconds passed, since the door closed and neither of them moved. Finally, Fitz leaned forward. He rested his arms on his knees, leaning over his legs he stared down at his clasped hands. He was thinking, as if wondering how to approach a subject he didn't know. Like he was trying to figure out a puzzle, it was as if he were trying to understand something complicated.

His hands clenched together, loosened and clenched again. Before raising his head, he looked at Sophie. A long moment moment before he looked back at his hands. They loosened and he finally gave up and transmitted. "Why are you pushing me away?" He had been the one who had voted for Kyle and Rose's memories to be erased, he had voted for her to be left on the decision. He had done it. Her cognate partner, the guy she liked, he...he had hurt her.

Sophi hadn't wanted the truth to slip, but she found herself breaking under the soft accent. "I'm hurt." She transmitted. Fitz's head jerked up, his eyes scanning over her for injuries before stopping, they dropped to the ground. "Who hurt you? Me? Believe me Sophie, whatever it was, I did it unintentionally, and I'm sorry." Unintentionally! He knew what he had done and he still wasn't telling her! That hurt Sophie even more, and her anger boiled. "Everyone has hurt me Fitz." Sophie answered, without meaning to answer. "I'm sure it was unintention-"

"It wasn't." Sophie turned her eyes to the ground. They knee what they were doing, they knew what they had done. "Fitz, no matter what I do. No matter how hard I try to make everyone happy, I wind up getting hurt. I get betrayed, and I get humiliated."

Fitz stood up from his chair and kneeled in front of Sophie's. He reached for her hand but she pulled it away crossing her arms. Fitz rested his hands on the arms of her chair and looked up at her. Sophie hated that her eyes were burning with tears. "Tell me." He whispered. Sophie shook her head stubbornly. "Please?" He asked. Sophie stared at him, he wasn't telling her. He wasn't telling the truth. Anger pushed the tears back and Sophie sat straighter in her chair. Fitz stared at her, watching as her resolve harden with anger, shutting him out.

"Tell me." He said. "N-"

"Tell me?" Fitz asked, as he moved his lips against Sophie's. With a muddled mind, a galloping heart, Sophie tried shoving Fitz away but only found herself pulling him closer. "What are you doing?" She asked, not breaking the kiss, her mind working on it's own. "Tell me."

"I know." Sophie found herself saying, as she shoved against her own girly instincts and romantic feelings or whatever they were she tried pushing Fitz's away. "What do you know?" Fitz's lips were as soft as they had been when Sophie had first kissed him. His breath hot like a welcoming heat, it was better than, anything Sophie had felt before. "I know." Sophie repeated, emphasizing on the two words. Fitz stilled completely. He slowly pulled away, his eyes unreadable. "You....know?" He asked. Sophie wiped her damp lips, glaring at Fitz. Calling him some of the words Kyle had taught her, she stood up. "Why would you do that?" She asked.

"You know?!" Fitz asked standing up, grabbing her shoulders. "No thanks to you either!" Sophie said shoving him away. "Why didn't you say anything?" Fitz asked softly. "Why didn't you?" Sophie asked, hating how her voice cracked. Fitz reached for her,

"Sophie I'm sor-"

"No." Sophie smacked his hand away, her glare bearing into him. "No," she shook her head, now trying to hold back the sudden torrent of tears, her chin trembling slightly. "You don't get to..." Sophie grabbed her satchel and stormed out of the room, passing Tiergan who was staring at his imparter.
"Soph-" Sophie didn't listen to Sandor as she fumbled for her home crystal. He managed to grab her arm, just as she leaped home.

Edaline and Grady were in the kitchen. Holding each other close in what looked to be a delicate embrace. Sophie ran past, not even caring that tears were falling down her face. Iggy was waiting for her on her bed. Slamming the door, Sophie slid down to the floor, her breaths coming out in sob like breaths. Iggy flew to her and crawled onto her lap. Sophie pulled him close, she held him between her hands, as her knees involuntarily pulled up to her chest. She needed Kyle and Rose, what would they say?

'Get a hold of yourself, Sef. Breath, and feel what you feel'. Sophie took a deep breath, she felt mad. She felt fury boiling in her blood. Everyone had lied to her! Taking a deep breath Sophie shakily stood to her feet. The anger made her stronger, the anger was safe. Sophie kissed Iggy's head in a silent than you. Changing from her uniform she found something that would explain her mood with out even speaking. Red, angry dark red, dark pants and a white shirt. She washed her red eyes, pulled on boots and opened the door. Sandor looked surprised to see her come out. "We're going to the caves." She said. "I should talk to her. Maybe I can relate to he-"

"She needs a firm talk-" both Grady and Edaline went silent as they watched Sophie come down. Sophie stepped out. Passed the gardens, down the sandy dunes and to the gate. Unlocking it she went in. Sandor followed. He searched the caves before he allowed Sophie in. He stood by the opening, as Sophie stared around the cave. Why had she come here? To clear her mind? In hope to find the Black Swan?....the Neverseen? Sophie kicked the wall, causing loose rubble to fall onto her boot. She shook it as she leaned against the cold cave wall.

She needed to talk to, someone. Anyone who would for once be, honest to her. Honest yet kind....unconsciously Sophie's hand went up to her earring.

Alvar.

"Hey Sandor?" Sophie asked as she looked at his tall figure outlining the entrance of the cave. "Yes?" He asked. "I need to visit Alvar." Sophie said quietly. Sandor spun so fast, Sophie wondered show he hadn't fallen.

"N-"

"Please Sandor. I need, I need someone to talk to...someone who will be completely honest with me, without hurting me. I promise I'll leave my tracker on. I'll even take a medler if you want me too...I just need to see him." Sophie begged. Sandor stared at her. Her chin was trembling and tears threatened to spill over. He sighed, "You really need to do this?" He asked. Sophie nodded, "I won't be gone that long." She promised. "I'll walk you to the cliff." Sophie's stomach recoiled at the thought of teleporting. Her brain burned and her muscles refused to work. "No." Sophie said. Sandor looked over at her. "What?" Sophie shook her head. "I have other ways of contacting him." Sandor growled at that, but reached in his pocket and pulled out a medler.

Sophie tool the weapon carefully and shoved it in her waist band. "If I sense you go anywhere else, I'm coming after you. Human world or not." Sandor said protectively. Sophie touched her registry pendent and looked up Sandor who sighed deeply. He handed her a small pebble. "That will scramble the transmissions of it. Just keep it with you at all times."

Sophie threw her arms around her bodyguard "Thank you." She said. Sandor gruffed something but Sophie had tilted her head just enough for the light to catch crystal she jumped into the light and leaped away. Away from all worries, all the pain and hurt, she leapt from a perfect world to a broken one, yet nothing had felt so right.

(Oh, Alvar is to make another appearance.)
