"Hey!" A voice yells out.

Walk faster Aria. Move those legs!

A car pulls up next to me and I keep waking acting as if I didn't notice.

"Hey blondie!"

I stop.

Kyle!

I open the door of the Audi and get in. I am pretty sure my brother doesn't own a Audi unless he won a lottery or robbed a millionaire which I am pretty sure he didn't.

"Guess what?" He asks a smile coming onto his face.

"What?"

"I got an internship!" He yells out and I smile - happy for him.

"That's amazing!"

"I know right!"

"I am really happy Kyle." I smile as he parks out in front of Jenny's house.

"The car belongs to my friend." He explains as we enter the house.

"Hello you two," Jenny calls from the kitchen with a smile. "Go freshen up-we are going to have dinner."

"Hi Uncle." I greet Jenny's husband who was watching a football match on TV and he smiles in greeting.

"Hi, Ryan." Kyle greets his girlfriend's father. Uncle Ryan is travelling for his company most of the time and is hardly home. This was second time I was meeting him since I started living here.

I race up to my room and take a quick bath. I wrap the towel around myself and walk to the mirror. My hair is in a bun since I just washed it the morning.

I still can't believe Brandon of all people thinks I am ugly.

I shake my head to get rid of my thoughts and put on clean undies and a bra and get myself into a grey t-shirt and sweat pants.

I go down and take my usual seat beside Keagon- the cute five year old that I babysit.

Shit, I didn't babysit today. What if Jenny thinks that I am taking advantage? The least I could do for her letting me stay at her home and feeding me was babysit her baby daughter for a couple of hours.

"Can I help with something?" I ask Jenny going into the kitchen.

"Everything is ready," Jenny smiles at me and places a huge bowl of Fajitas on the table.

"I am sorry I couldn't come on time for babysitting Keagon." I mumble after a minute feeling guitly.

"Oh, it's fine Aria," Jenny flashes me a smile. "Sara and Kyle were there."

"Sorry, but I promise I'll be here tomorrow." I say feeling restless and Jenny smiles again.

"How was your day at school?" Kyle asks while spooning in some of his salad.

"It was fine." I say flashing Kyle a smile as Brandon says that I am ugly flashes through my head.

"Are you hiding something?" Kyle asks me.

"We played Dodgeball. And it hit my face." I mumble. There was no point lying since Kyle could take a look at my face and know that I was lying.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Kyle whispers and I shrug.

Jenny had made Fajitas, salad and corn tortillas. I love Fajitas.

Mmm.

After dinner I race back to bed and pull out my phone to see a text.

Sorry that you got into detention because of me. And is your head okay?

Felix. Definitely Felix.

How did you get my number creep?

I press send and wait for his text as I press 'send'. I've never texted a guy except for Kyle. I bite my lip waiting for his text. My phone chimes almost immediately.

I have my ways ;)

I roll my eyes at the wink and answer his previous question.

My head isn't too bad.

You iced it?

Yup, right before dinner.

Wassup?

I stare at his message. Who even asks "wassup" anymore. He sounds like a eighty year old grandpa.

No offence to grandpas.

Nurse advised no coffee.

Just had a coffee that must've been crafted by the hands of Zeus.

I don't bother replying and lie down on the bed closing my eyes.

Ouch, my head hurts. I turn around and lie down on my stomach.

I usually never fall asleep easily. It takes atleast an hour. I have all these screens going around in my head― only after shutting all of them down can I sleep.

"Aria's ugly and you're not."

Brandon. My best friend thinks I am ugly.

"What did you think? That I was going to wait for a million years so you could walk at your snail's pace? Now, shut up and stop asking questions."

Wyatt. The only guy I ever liked thinks that I am a charity case.

"Baby when will you break up with Aria?"

Megan. Playing tonsil hockey with my boy friend.

"Very soon babe, real soon."

Andrew. My boy friend cheated on me.

Just had a coffee that must've been crafted by the hands of Zeus.

I close down the windows in my head. My lips curve up slightly when I think about Felix.

Even though he got me in trouble and landed me a detention - he made my day a little bit better.

For the first time in forever I fall asleep with a smile.
