Kai's pov

I put the last box down and rolled my shoulders. I didn't expect moving into a new place with Mira and Adam to hurt so much. I placed my hand on my lower back and leaned backwards, seeing Adam standing in my door frame. He smiled and poked my forehead.

"Are we all done moving everything inside?" I asked standing up.

"Yup." He said and sat on my matress.

"How long 'til Mira moves in?" I asked, Mira wasn't able to move in immediately like us because of a family trip.

"Week and a half I think she said." Adam said getting out his phone and double checking.

I nodded my head, trying to seem relaxed. Truth is, I was crushing on Adam, hard. Living in an apartment where it is just us for almost two weeks? I was going to die. He laid back on my bed and sighed.

"I really don't wanna start unpacking..." He said.

"Yeah." I replied, laying back next to him.

He turned on his side, facing me. I just turned my head then blushed at how close we were now.

"You think we'll be okay here?" He asked.

"What?" I smiled, "I mean, I dunno while it's just us, but as soon as Mira gets here, we'll be the dream team again. Ready to face the world!"

I threw a fist in the air, and Adam laughed, making my heart squeeze. He was so cute.

"Lets just hope you don't burn the house down for two weeks then." He sat up, the looked at his phone, "...dammit."

"What's wrong?"

"The rest of the furniture isn't going to get her for two days." He said with a tired sigh.

"What? No couch?!" I said sitting up, "What a cruel world we live it..."

"Yup, and no bed for me." He laid back again.

"...Well, you can always sleep with me. It's only a couple of nights, right?" I suggested with all my courage.

"You sure that's okay?" I nodded and he smiled, "Thanks!"

We sat on my bed, my laptop in front of us as we ate instant noodles. I had somehow convinced Adam to watch She-ra with me a while back, but we never had the chance to finish even the first season because of school.

"Ok, I definitely regret not watching this earlier." He said, hugging my pillow in his lap, "Man, I love you for finally making me watch it."

I nearly choked on my water, I mean, I knew it was just a joke but I still reacted weirdly. Adam gave me a look as I tried to hide my coughing.

"Aha, yeah." I said, "It's gotta be one of my favourite shows."

"Mhmm, I can see why." Adam smiled softly at me, and then yawned.

"Guess we should sleep soon, hey?"

"What? No way." Adam said, almost childishly, "We should... Play a game."

"A game?" I laughed, sitting up cross-legged.

"Yeah. It's out first night as- as adults." He said, sitting up across from me, "Like, real independent adults."

"Yeah, you're right!" I said, finding some more motivation to stay awake, "We've gotta do something to celebrate!"

"Right?!" Adam and I both had stupid grins on our faces, "So, let's play truth or dare."

"What? With only two people?" I scrunched up my face, "Won't that be boring?"

"Hmm, maybe, but, hey, it'll be a way to... To get to know each other."

Adam was being a lot more... Well, less mature I guess. I think he was probably sleep deprived.

"Alright, sure."

After about three or four round of truth or dare, Adam and I were definitely tipsy. Not completely drunk, but tipsy.

"Truth or dare Kai?" Adam asked, laying back on my mattress, looking up at me.

"Ugh, I am not drinking another weird impulse cocktail. Truth." I said, almost gagging just remembering the weird drink combination I was dared to chug just before.

"Hmm." Adam closed his eyes and sighed, "Well, I have to ask this at some point, who are you crushing on?"

"What?! Who says I'm crushing on anyone?!" I said,
